    FTM/STM/TTM+: TTM

    Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: Green

Upcoming Appointments: February 3rd for first ultrasound

How are you feeling?: terrified! I just want to be at the first ultrasound and see that everything is okay!!

Rants/Raves: I was very sick in both my successful pregnancies so I have this weird desire to be nauseous and feel like shit to make myself feel better. So far of only had moments of it coming and going and I just hope it’s good!

    Questions: natm

GTKY: What is your favorite, and least favorite, part of winter? Winter is my favorite season! I love the snow, cold, warm beverages, etc. my least favorite is when it’s ending and the snow becomes gross and dirty… in like March haha

@mokay19 I know what you mean about wanting to get to the first ultrasound. Fingers crossed that time flies!

Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: Finding out through NIPT testing.

Upcoming Appointments: Doing one last blood draw tomorrow, but first ultrasound isn’t until February 7th. 😩

How are you feeling?: Exhausted. Slight aversion to smell (I had to throw away a perfume bottle), cramps, weird boob things.

Rants/Raves: Rave: I’m starting a workshop  today on how to manage my life better. Rant: I’m already behind. 🤦‍♀️

Questions: I have a 27-month-old daughter and it’s getting trickier to hoist her into her car seat in the middle. I know that I’ll have to move her eventually, but when did everyone with older kids move the car seat over? I’m thinking of doing it soon, but I’m nervous about it.

GTKY: What is your favorite, and least favorite, part of winter? I live in Florida, so we don’t get winter. 🙃

  • @elle-0409 your least favorite part could be the snow birds 😂 and most favorite part could be a tolerable heat that you don’t melt in!
We lived on the panhandle for 2 years and I am NOT built for heat.
  • @elle-0409 26 months over here and she's always been right behind the passenger seat. My car states this as a safe position for a car seat, so we went with that. We also still have her rear-facing, even though she's ridiculously tall. Maybe check your car manual to see if it's safe? Most mention it, I believe.

𝗨𝗽𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀: January 26th for ultrasound and initial appointment

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴? Nauseated, mostly, and peeing constantly

𝗥𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀/𝗥𝗮𝘃𝗲𝘀: I don't know if I'm sick or if it's pregnancy or if it's my GERD causing the coughing and sore throat, but the test of my family is fine. So it's both a rant and a rave. Still hating this limbo before the first appointment.

𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: Has any STM+ ever taken Reglan for morning sickness? I declined Diclegis because of it making me tired, and that was the next line of med to try. I'm a big baby about nausea, so I need something

Baby is the size of a(n) / interesting fact:  pea

    FTM/STM/TTM+: ttm

    Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green:  green

Upcoming Appointments: scheduled my first for Wednesday so I can go pee in their cup and leave 🙄

How are you feeling?:  barely any symptoms so very anxious that this will not be viable.

Rants/Raves: first appointments where I just pee in a cup are annoying.... According to everything I follow in town on ig there's some huge storm outside and they're all closing early, I haven't even looked outside yet and I've been up for 6 hours lol

Questions: would it be wrong to fall asleep with the 1 year old right now and leave the 3 year old to fend for herself lol. Jk

GTKY: What is your favorite, and least favorite, part of winter?  I love that winter helps us appreciate the other seasons. I hate when winter drags on to may where I live.

@elle-0409 my kids were always behind driver or passenger because we don't have latch in the center. My 3.5 year old rear faces behind the driver in our truck (forward faces in my car because it's small) and the 1.5 year old rear faces behind the passenger seat in both vehicles. When the third comes we will likely put the oldest in the middle forward facing so she can help out with the baby seeing how I won't be able to hop back there anymore. With my car, I won't every be able to take all 3 of them, so we'll need to get a new one eventually, but right now I don't need that extra cost.
  • @trapperkeeper87 Check to make sure Reglan is not the same drug some people take to help with milk production. If it is (I think it might be) I strongly advise not taking it. It has super scary side effects. I took it for one day and felt so horrid and was terrified (anxiety, body tremors, loss of control of limbs, crazy shit like that, but my milk production did instantly go up).

@elle-0409 My 3 year old can now climb up on his own! That’s so helpful. He started doing that sometime when he was 2. I still need to buckle him, obviously. But see if your little one can get into the seat maybe.

    EDD / Weeks + Days: 9/14/22/ 5+5

Baby is the size of a(n) / interesting fact: I don’t know but really tiny!

    FTM/STM/TTM+: STM

Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: Finding Out for sure!

    Upcoming Appointments: February 4

How are you feeling?: Fine, a bit crampy and very tired, sore boobs, I feel like echos of my last pregnancy, like the way my belly button feels and my ribs. It’s like my body is stretching and remembering. No real morning sickness yet. I think it started right around now last time so I’m just bracing myself. But, maybe it won’t be so bad!

Rants/Raves: Raves- I know now that you don’t need everything to be brand new! My son is in preschool with kids his exact age and we are close with the other families. They all had babies in Spring 2021 (seriously everyone I know!). So I’m looking forward to lots of hand-me-downs! We’re picky and want nice stuff too, but I just know that nice used things are better than brand new cheep things. Especially when it comes to car seat/stroller (obviously never get a used car seat unless you really know the person and are sure there were no accidents) but I strongly recommend joining your local buy nothing group (if you are in a city) and not being afraid to take hand me downs! All the infant stuff is used for just a matter of months! Especially if you have a long baby. Mine outgrew his infant car seat at 7 months!

    Questions: none

GTKY: What is your favorite, and least favorite, part of winter? (stole this from August ☺️) I’m in Los Angeles. I enjoy seeing snow on top of the distant mountains while I’m enjoying the sunshine and 70 degree weather all winter! Full disclosure: it’s pouring rain today. We’re having the rainiest winter! It’s really unusual, but it means no fires (Woohoo) and cleaner air (yay) and everything is green and beautiful (usually it’s all brown and yellow and dry in winter).
  • @magnolia209 Oh crap... good looking out. You're right! I'm really sensitive to medicine too, so I might have to tell them I'm declining this. Thank you so much for pointing that out. It sounded familiar, but I didn't know why. A quick Google search said it can exacerbate depression too, which I have and am on medication for.

EDD / Weeks + Days: September 7th - 6+5 (Not confirmed via ultrasound yet)

Baby is the size of a(n) / interesting fact: Sweet pea

    FTM/STM/TTM+: STM

Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: Potentially Team Green. Still undecided!

Upcoming Appointments: My first ultrasound is next Thursday, January 27th and I feel like this is going to be the longest 2 weeks of my life. I do not remember it taking this long with my first one. I feel like they did an ultrasound at 6 weeks with her, but they wanted to wait until 8 weeks with this one, which annoys me given my recent MC.

How are you feeling?: Well, I actually feel great, which is kind of scary. I haven't really had any symptoms at all other than occasional nausea after I eat a big meal. I've never had sore boobs with a pregnancy, and I don't have any morning (all-day) sickness yet. But I'm thankful! Just makes me nervous.

Rants/Raves: Neither, just a random...my husband was super against us telling anyone until after the first ultrasound but I was busting at the seams. We hung out with a couple this weekend who we are pretty close with, and I had to tell them because they kept offering me wine. However, they were very supportive of us when we dealt with our MC a few months ago, and she's a nurse, so I just wanted them to know. I feel a million times better now that someone knows, even if it was against DH's will. (He got over it) :#

Questions: Has anyone ever done the At Home Sneak Peek test? Dh and I have been considering but have read such mixed reviews!

GTKY: What is your favorite, and least favorite, part of winter? I live in SC so we don't have much of a winter. I hate the cold, but I love laying in the backyard on cold, clear nights with my little one trying to find shooting stars!
  • EDD / Weeks + Days: Sept 5th (unconfirmed) / 7+0

Baby is the size of a(n) / interesting fact: blueberry (or coffee bean!)

    FTM/STM/TTM+: FTM

    Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: Finding out

Upcoming Appointments: Wednesday, 1/26 is our first OB appointment to check on peanut!

How are you feeling?: ready to confirm that everything is okay, haha. I feel like time is just CRAWLING by. Boobs have been so sore (primarily nips) and they’re growing! Haven’t reallllly dealt with morning sickness yet, but I occasionally get a wave of nausea after drinking water and I just did NOT feel good this morning (just queasy), so I think it’s coming. Strong aversion to broccoli right now lol which is sad because I read it’s like the preggo superfood and I bought a bunch. I also had a craving for spicy chicken sandwiches, which is pretty unlike me - I’m not much for fast food. I’m also ALWAYS cold and I’m dealing with breakouts.

    Rants/Raves: nothing really!

Questions: how did you guys decide whether to do/not to do NIPT? We need to decide before the first appointment.

GTKY: What is your favorite, and least favorite, part of winter? Favorite - cozy days in blankets and sweatshirts. Snow days are also fun (but only because we don’t normally get a lot in Seattle). Least favorite - no patio dining. I love dining al fresco!
  • @mk2022x We decided to do the NIPT with our first because 1) we were dying to find out gender 2) We wanted to be prepared if any of the genetic results came back abnormal...you know, be able to educate ourselves, see specialists if need be, etc.

@elle-0409 DD has always been behind the passenger seat because my car has captain's seats in the 2nd row. It's also just easier to hand her things, etc. over there.
  • EDD / Weeks + Days: September 13 / 6 weeks!

Baby is the size of a(n) / interesting fact: Baby is the size of a sweet pea!

    FTM/STM/TTM+:  FTM

Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: Finding out (I have a very strong feeling its a boy)

Upcoming Appointments: 1/19 phone intake visit 2/3 first in person visit!

How are you feeling?: Boobs are massive and sore. Generally feeling pretty good. Super curious if there could be twins! Everyone is bringing it up and I am also a fraternal twin so well see!

Rants/Raves: Why do my neighbors gardeners start leaf blowing at 7:30am on a holiday! So tired...

Questions: What quick and healthy snack ideas do you have? I haven't been very adverse or sick yet but definitely need some good fuel in the morning and at lunch time. Costco finds are awesome- less time at the grocery stores less time exposed to the rona :)

GTKY: What is your favorite, and least favorite, part of winter? I love everything about winter. In Seattle its fairly mild but I love when it snows, I love the holidays, I love buying presents, all the activities and crafts and my birthday! :)
  • @mamamoomoo12 you’re a Seattleite too!? I should have known from your picture! AND a holiday baby!? Mine is 10 days before Christmas.
  • @mk2022x We did the NIPT with our first because, like @whitta1015, we wanted to be prepared for any abnormalities that may exist. We didn't find out the sex that way, though, because we didn't want to know. It is an option, though.

Regarding spicy chicken sandwiches, those were my jam during my last pregnancy. Culver's were my favorite and we would always treat ourselves on ultrasound days. I've since found a decent dupe from Aldi, if you're interested! Not as spicy, but still incredibly delicious. 😋👌🏻
    DD 10/2019
  • @mk2022x Another Seattle gal! We'll have to chat!
  • @mk2022x we didn’t do NIPT with either of my first two because we had had separate genetic testing done at the fertility clinic. Also, it wasn’t covered by insurance at all, so knowing neither of us were carriers for the bunch of things tested for fertility treatment, we felt okay not doing it. With all that said, it’s a great conversation to have with your OB!

@mamamoomoo12 I like to make snacks for me to have at work. My favorites are banana with protein and oat muffins (I make like 2 dozen and keep them in the fridge), chia seed pudding (I make 2 days worth at a time), Greek yogurt with fruit mixed in, and hummus with veggies!

@trapperkeeper87 @whitta1015 I think that’s why I’m leaning toward it, too. We do want to find out the gender but I just want to make sure we’re doing it for more than that! I’m just scared of false “positives” showing a pregnancy has a high likelihood of having an abnormality, moving through the next 25+ weeks of the pregnancy preparing for the chance of that, and then finding out after birth that wasn’t necessary. But I guess we’d be ready?

Oh, and re: spicy sandwiches - I don’t think we have either of those up here in the PNW. :(
    sounds delicious though!!
  • EDD / Weeks + Days: Sept 16/ 5 wks + 3 days

Baby is the size of a(n) / interesting fact: size of an M on an M&M

FTM/STM/TTM+: STM (have a son who turns 3 in February)

    Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: finding out

Upcoming Appointments: I keep forgetting to schedule one 😬

How are you feeling?: No specific food aversions or cravings yet, but mild nausea (esp after eating). Breaking out on my chin. Sore nipples. A little irritable/emotional and not tolerating even the slightest BS from my husband 😅

Rants/Raves: mostly just sick of COVID and can't wait for cases to come back down so I can relax about my unvaccinated toddler and doctor's appointments. They're starting come down where I'm at and I'm just crossing all the body parts that the trend continues!

    Questions: None!

GTKY: What is your favorite, and least favorite, part of winter? (stole this from August ☺️) I'm in New Jersey and usually love winter, but we've only had like two good snow days this year which stinks. My son loves the snow so I hope we get a little more. Snow, chilly air, and warm drinks are all great to me (especially now that my husband and I mostly WFH and don't need to worry about driving in the snow). The only thing I don't like is how much extra time it takes to leave the house because of layering, and it takes 50x longer with a stubborn toddler who hates sleeves! I also hate salt on the sidewalks because I'm always worried about my dog's paws.
  • EDD / Weeks + Days: 6w today!

Baby is the size of a(n) / interesting fact: lentil or sweet pea

    FTM/STM/TTM+: FTM!

Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: Team Green 💚

Upcoming Appointments: Ugh, my OB referral finally went through and when I called to make my appointment  they said they won’t see me until 10 weeks 😩 so as of now my first prenatal appointment isn’t until February 21st!!

How are you feeling?: Well I was feeling fine until I heard that news lol

Rants/Raves: Whyyyyy can’t I be seen sooner? Mostly I just want to see the little bean in an ultrasound and make sure everything is ok! Also our plan was to not tell anybody until we have an ultrasound/bloodwork to make sure everything is all good, and I am DYING keeping it to myself - especially as a FTM, plus the last one of my friends to have kids. All I want to do is ask my friends and family alllllll the questions! (If you made it this far, thank you for listening to my rant lol)

Questions: Anyone else going crazy not telling people even though that was the plan 🤪

GTKY: What is your favorite, and least favorite, part of winter? Favorite part is the coziness! I love being cuddled up inside, especially if it’s raining out. Least favorite part is getting dark early - hate that!
  • @virgovirgo First, I love your username. My husband is a Virgo, them my son was born September 15, also Virgo. Now I’m due September 14. Are you kidding me??? I’m a Gemini so I can handle it, but I’m going to have 3 bossy know-it-alls telling me how to do everything for the rest of my life, aren’t I? 🤣 It’s a good thing I absolutely love Virgos and think they are the best!

Second, ugh! Yes, that’s a long time to wait. OB offices can get really busy. If it’s not a policy thing that they will only see you at 10 weeks (which it doesn’t seem like it would be in the US, I think 8-10 weeks is pretty standard). Then tell the appointment setter that you are really anxious to know that everything is ok and would prefer to be seen at 8 weeks if possible. OBs typically hold appointments in-case they are needed. I bet they’ll get you in earlier. When I called, they offered me February 14, but also sent a message to the doctor to see if she would see me earlier. They called back a few days later and gave me an appointment on February 4 (I’ll be 8 weeks and 2 days).

3rd, it’s okay to confide in one or a few people! Even if you are waiting, if you are going nuts, I’d get someone in on it with you. I have two friends now who know. I did last time too. But, we’re waiting for big exciting announcements to family until after we see that there really is a baby in there and hear the heartbeat. It’s personal. Do whatever you want. But just don’t tell the whole world or anyone who can’t keep a secret!
  • EDD / Weeks + Days: 9/14 (5+5)

Baby is the size of a(n) / interesting fact: drinking straw opening

FTM/STM/TTM+: It's complicated.  Technically 2nd time mom, but Clementine only lived 15 days and never came home from the hospital, so functionally FTM in terms of my experience.

Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: Finding out (via NIPT at 12 weeks)

Upcoming Appointments: Phone visit with the intake nurse for OB on 1/22.  Suspect first actual OB visit will be around the 1st week of February.

How are you feeling?:  Mostly okay.  I won't really feel okay until I see a heartbeat.  Symptom-wise, extreme fatigue, sore boobs, vague queasiness (I wouldn't call it full blown nausea), various food cravings, enhanced sense of smell, and peeing every 5 minutes.

Rants/Raves: People need to get their damned vaccines and wear masks.  So sick of the current COVID outbreak and the entitled people that prioritize themselves (and nonsense conspiracy theories) over public health.  We're back to N-95s at work and weekly testing, but it's not improving because the same people that engaged in poor health practices and refused to wear procedure masks before are poorly compliant w/the N95s, too.

    Questions: None at this time.

GTKY: What is your favorite, and least favorite, part of winter? I have no favorite part of winter.  I hate being cold.

Also, all you people with your chicken sandwich talk resulted in me snagging one from Sonic on the way home.

@mk2022x NIPT is almost a given for me due to my age (43).  I would probably terminate for a severe birth defect.  Plus it's 100% covered by my insurance.

@mamamoomoo12 I'm a big fan of yougurts and cottage cheese w/fruit mixed in.  Plus "handy" fruits (apples, bananas, pears, etc.) and avocados.  Anything easy, portable, and that requires minimal prep.

    Current pregnancy -
First BFP on 1/4/22.  Due date 9/13/22.

Four prior losses, no living children - 1 first trimester miscarriage, 1 blighted ovum, 1 chemical, and one extreme premature live birth daughter who died at 15 days old.

Baby is the size of a(n) / interesting fact: An apple seed.

FTM/STM/TTM+: I have 4 lids and an angel baby.

Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: Finding out, I am much too impatient and like to have everything ready.

Upcoming Appointments: First US on 1/28.

How are you feeling?: Very sore boobs, some nausea, lots of acid reflux, constipation, crying about nothing and everything.

    Rants/Raves: Not today lol

    Questions:

GTKY: What is your favorite, and least favorite, part of winter? I hate being cold and I feel like I am cold ALL winter. I also dislike seeing the dirty brown snow on the side of the roads when it’s not fresh anymore. I do think fresh fallen snow is so beautiful and it’s easier to keep my kids on a good sleep schedule when it gets dark so early.
  • @magnolia209 hehe thank you! I suck at thinking of screen names, so I just went with virgovirgo since I'm a virgo and my EDD is 9/12! Good luck to you with three virgos in the house!!   ;)

They did say it's their policy to not see me until 10 weeks :/ BUT after sulking for a couple hours I realized that my appointment is at 11 weeks, not 10! So I'm going to call back and see if I can at least be seen a week earlier.

I've thought about confiding in 1-2 people, but I just feel so much guilt at not telling my mom first. But I can't tell her first because a) she would be devastated if something went wrong and b) she's can't keep a secret haha but it weirdly feels like I'm doing something wrong if I tell anybody but her first? Am I overthinking it?

Upcoming Appointments: January 31st for my first appointment.

How are you feeling?: REALLY anxious. I just want the next two weeks to go by quickly. Other than emotional feelings, I'm exhausted, super bloated, peeing like crazy and my boobs are super sore.

    Rants/Raves: None.

    Questions: None.

GTKY: What is your favorite, and least favorite, part of winter? Well the weather where I live doesn’t fluctuate that much (outside of Monterey, CA) so it’s always cold in my opinion. But I do love winter for all the soups 🙂
  • @trapperkeeper87 I took zofran with my first. The only side affect I noticed was that my body was slightly addicted to it so I ended up taking it a bit longer than I think I really needed to. Idk if its normal as I wasn't told anything about it so maybe it was just my body.
  • Hi!

    EDD/Weeks & Days: 6w6d, estimated DD Sept. 8, 2022

Team Find Out/Blue/Pink/Green: Team find out for sure. I am a planner so I have to know!

Upcoming Appts: First pre-natal visit and ultrasound at 8 weeks on Feb. 3

How are you feeling? Good for the most part! I've been emotional, moody and tired, but no morning sickness yet. My boobs are super sore this week...more than last week.

Rants/Raves: I feel so bored. I was a social butterfly that often involved dinners, wine dates, etc. and I am finding myself bored. Trying to remind myself that I should enjoy this time in the first trimester and soak up all the rest and relaxation I can.

Questions: If I get bad morning sickness, will it impact my job? I am a director of marketing for a big company and I lead a large team. I am worried about it impacting my job, especially because I have a new boss. I want to make sure that I am putting myself first, but also making that money honey.

Favorite/Least Favorite Part of Winter: I live in Charlotte, North Carolina so Winter here is generally mild. We got some snow in the last few days and its pretty, but I am ready for it to me. I think the only thing I like about winter is that I like cute in a beanie.
  • @falconlkn even if you get challenging sickness, there are medications to help cope (Diclegis or Zofran), vitamins to help (B6 and ginger tablets), or other methods (essential oils to sniff, sea bands, drinking room temp water or drinking ice cold water, etc). I worked up until birth with both my kids and I was sick into the third trimester with both of them, too. I puked in every bathroom at my jobs and an occasional garbage can, too 😁

If you start feeling sick, just talk to your provider right away and they’ll tell you some good options for your situation.
  • @falconlkn Yes, exactly what @mokay19 said. Also keep some preggie pops or something like that near you in case it comes on suddenly. I don’t have any morning sickness yet but I have them in my car, my purse, and on my desk. I wanted to tell you that just a few months before my last pregnancy, I had just been promoted to manage a team of 10 and responsible for a ton of stuff and big revenue. So, I really needed to prove myself before revealing that I was pregnant. I gave myself big work goals and told myself I wasn’t going to let my boss know until March (end of first trimester and after the budget and a few other big things were due). So, then morning sickness hit week 6 and I couldn’t function and took a few sick days. I talked to my PCP (because my OB appointment wasn’t until week 8) and my PCP prescribed Diclegis. It was a life saver! It does make you tired. But if it’s your first pregnancy, you can totally handle it. I have a toddler now (and still the same job) so I can’t do anything that makes me more tired (omg so tired already!). But, I also work from home now so I’m very hopeful that I can hide any morning sickness - at least from work. But, Diclegis works great! It’s safe and I’ll have some advice for you if you end up taking it. Getting off of it was a bit hard, but I figured it out and had a very healthy pregnancy and baby.

How are you feeling?: OK. Nausea is here in full force. I am burping and farting a lot. Good thing is I only crave fruits and water.
Rants/Raves: I hate this time of year. It always makes me feel depressed. Plus add Covid, childcare issues and a busy work schedule, ugh.
    Questions: none
GTKY: What is your favorite, and least favorite, part of winter? (stole this from August ☺️)
Favorite is the holidays. Least favorite is the extreme cold like high of 0F ( -18C) and the snow/salt. It's such a slushy muddy mess.

  • EDD / Weeks + Days: 9/11 (not confirmed) 6+1 I think? I should remember this and if I go out of this to check I'll hafta start over😜

Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: will pry find out since we did last time.

Upcoming Appointments: not scheduled. I'll call around 8 or 9 weeks. First appt around 12 weeks.

How are you feeling?: 🤢 most of the day. There's moments when I'm fine but food aversion are the worst! I ate some lasagna tonight and it was so good but after a few bites I had to distract myself (read my book) while I finished because I couldn't think about the fact that I was eating. Oh and I ate 5 pickles that were also delicious 😍

Rants/Raves: not much now other than I'm already over the food aversions and I know this is just the beginning. I was sick until week 25 with my first pregnancy. Super duper hoping this time will be better!

Questions: am I in the minority here, not anxiously awaiting an ultrasound? I'll have one US around 20 weeks for the anatomy scan and that's it unless there is concern which would be reason for more.

GTKY: What is your favorite, and least favorite, part of winter?
Favorite part is northern lights and snow. Oh and when the sun comes back in January. That's pretty amazing! I felt so alive that day after 4 weeks with the sun below the horizon.
Least favorite is that winter last until may (at least the last 2 years when I've lived here), and since we live on the coast it's stays mild so the snow comes and goes a.lot. during the winter. That means lots of ice from melted snow that freezes again 🙄

  • @babywiik you're not alone. This is my second pregnancy and I was so eager for all of my appointments during the first, but I'm pretty ambivalent this time around. I did finally schedule an appointment, and I of course will be reassured to find out everything is OK, but I don't have the same level of anxiety/excitement for ultrasounds (the baby, of course! just not the doctors). It's weird!

  • I notice we have quite a few people posting in this thread who haven't done an introduction yet.  Please stop by the pinned Introduction thread and introduce yourselves. :)
    Current pregnancy -
First BFP on 1/4/22.  Due date 9/13/22.

Four prior losses, no living children - 1 first trimester miscarriage, 1 blighted ovum, 1 chemical, and one extreme premature live birth daughter who died at 15 days old.

  • @babywiik @scimomma
I can’t speak for others, but my anxious excitement for an ultrasound is because of my 2 previous miscarriages. Seeing into my uterus that things are physically progressing properly is a huuuuge relief for that anxiety!
  • @mokay19 2 miscarriages and a CP, so I feel the same way.
