Previous loss(es) (share as much or as little as you like)? 4 losses- 9 week MMC, 14 week MMC, two CP
How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically?
Physically not too horrible other than barfing first thing in the morning the last two days. Emotionally all over the place, I go back and forth between anxious, excited, and then just detached. I made one faith purchase (a baby carrier) but for the most part my brain isn’t even preparing the possibility of a baby.
Any appointment updates? Had a 2nd ultrasound on Tuesday that I was really anxious about but luckily it was just the PTSD and baby was still growing perfect and wiggling around in there. Next appointment is this coming Tuesday.
Any big milestones? With our first MMC baby stopped growing between 7 and 8 weeks so getting this far feels like a small win.
Rants/Raves/Questions? This is my 5th time doing the first trimester and I wish I had a fast forward button. I want a bump and to feel those little kicks 💜

Weeks/EDD? 10w today! Quarter of the way there! 8/11
Previous loss(es) (share as much or as little as you like)? Mc at 5 weeks in July 2021
How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically?
Welp. I have covid, but I feel pretty much better today. Having some food aversions still but the nausea seems to have calmed down the last two days. Emotionally, I’m feeling good. I was super anxious with this covid the first day but yesterday and today I’ve been feeling better about it. The bad cramping I had the first day stopped so I think that eased my mind. Now it’s just back to the normal anxiety.
Any appointment updates? 1/31 for nt scan and dr appt.
Any big milestones? Nope.
Rants/Raves/Questions? Not really much going on. Mh and I were both exposed and both tested positive despite him being full vaccinated. We both had the same symptoms for the same duration. He’s home from work for 10 days due to work protocol and I’m not complaining! It will be nice to have him home. My kindergartener can go back to school Tuesday so long as he remains symptom free, which both my kid’s have so far. Our house is small and both kids are too young to care for themselves so there is no way to prevent them from getting it if they’re going to. But so far so good!
Previous loss(es) (share as much or as little as you like)? MC 6 weeks May 2021, it was a hard end to a first pregnancy.
How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically? I am so tired and a little sick of thinking about what kind of food my body wants at different times of the day. Emotionally I am terrified, I have ultrasounds next week and I am praying the baby is alive, I am so scared I will go in and the heart will not be beating. I also am a huge planner and I am waiting to get to the 12/13 week mark to figure out how to tell my boss and make a budget for the baby. I am finishing my masters about the time the baby will be born and there isn't much as far as maternity leave in grad school. I am a little worried because while this baby wasn't unplanned and is certainly so wanted, timing wasn't terribly well thought through.
Any appointment updates? I have an ultrasound and NIPT next week.
Any big milestones? The heart was still beating at 10 weeks and saw the baby moving quite a bit at 9w 4d.
Rants/Raves/Questions? I am just annoyed with how being pregnant is seen in society as a burden. My mother had 3 miscarriages one was a MMC at 12 weeks, she just went in and the heart wasn't beating. I was 8 at the time so I remember talking about baby names at the dinner table ect, to be fair she was early 40s and I am in my early/mid 20s but its still terrifying mentally for me.
@paytonpedro So glad you're starting to feel better!
@katiecattherese I had a similar experience of my mom going through several miscarriages when I was young, and she never was able to have a third baby, despite desperately wanting one. It weighs heavily on me too.
Weeks/EDD? Aug 23, 8+ weeks
Previous loss(es) (share as much or as little as you like)? Spontaneous early loss in Aug 21.
How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically? I am hitting a pretty bad spell with nausea. I thought I was somehow being spared, but I feel like trash this week. No actual puking yet, but I feel like I am hungover all the time, worst in the afternoon. Also having some trouble concentrating and getting work done, falling down too many pregnancy google rabbit holes.
Any appointment updates? My intake is less than 2 weeks away! This wait has felt absolutely eternal.
Any big milestones? I just want to hear that heartbeat. I feel like if we can get to that place, we can make it through.
Rants/Raves/Questions? I love being a mom, and I love the intellectual stimulation of working, but damn, I'm tired of doing the most all the time. There are never enough hours in the day, and there is never enough mom to go around. End rant.
I was waiting to post here until after my appointment this afternoon. It all went well!
Weeks/EDD-9+2
Previous loss(es) (share as much or as little as you like) 5 early losses
How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically?: Feeling a little bit in shock still. Had a perfectly ordinary, uneventful dating ultrasound appointment today. Planning to start telling family now.
Any appointment updates? Dating ultrasound was today. Baby was measuring right on schedule with a 175 heartbeat!
Any big milestones? Today was a milestone. We've never had a positive ultrasound. We've never seen a heartbeat. We've never seen a baby measuring right where it's supposed to be. Today has been really wild.
Rants/Raves/Questions: I guess just raving that this seems one step closer to actually happening. I really can't believe it.

Previous loss(es) (share as much or as little as you like)? CP in Sept
How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically? Emotionally - eh, detached? Drained? Physically - nauseous, exhausted. Trying not to get HFMD from the toddler.
Any appointment updates? Still haven’t had one yet, next Thursday.
Any big milestones? Made it past the CP, but my mind goes messed up places like I’ve had a MMC.
Rants/Raves/Questions? Natm. Just hoping for some calm in our lives.
I’ll be back for tags after I get my toddler down for bed.
@coco2787 I'm so glad your 2nd u/s went well! @paytonpedro how are you feeling? I am so hoping we parents avoid HFMD. @katiecattherese that must have been so hard to experience as a child with your mom @maggiemadeit feeling hungover is the perfect way to describe this level of nausea @bobloblaw87 love that you had a great u/s, I hope you get some relief. @fuzzywombat I also have a sakura bloom scout, and a wildbird ring sling. love them both.
Previous loss(es) (share as much or as little as you like)? MC in August at 8w
How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically? Feeling better emotionally after seeing dr for 10w and bedside u/s showed heartbeat and baby moving a lot.
Any big milestones? It’s been encouraging to get past the 8w mark, but still feeling nervous about things continuing to go well. Getting the 12w scan in a week and trying to control my anxiety.
Rants/Raves/Questions? Feeling pretty bad evening nausea still. Also I’m a teacher so very anxious about staying COVID free, as well as having a toddler in daycare. So many things going on at once - taking one day at a time!
@anniemarie887 thanks for checking in! I felt 100% back to normal yesterday. Today I’m not sure if it some lingering or later onset covid symptoms, pregnancy, or just my super dry house, but my sinuses are sore. I wouldn’t say I really had sinus symptoms because I always have post nasal drip and congestion (allergies to everything & now presumptive pregnancy rhinitis. Yay) and my normal there didn’t change much at all.
Being pregnant with covid is definitely confusing because I’ve been exhausted and I’ve been nauseous. So, I just still feel like the same garbage dumpster fire I’ve felt like since before I got covid.
Mh is feeling better as well and my children are still symptom free. So praying things continue on the way they’re going!
I'm sorry for being MIA all week. My anxiety is through the roof leading up to our 9 week appointment on Monday. That's the appointment we discovered our last loss at, and my mind is not being kind to me this time around.
@coco2787 Ooh, which color HBC did you get? I have a few and love them! Definitely the winner in terms of carriers for me. @paytonpedro So glad you're feeling better! Fx everyone else in the house stays symptom-free. Sick kids (and husbands) are no fun! @maggiemadeit I hope your symptoms start easing up and you can get more comfortable!
Weeks/EDD? 8+4
Previous loss(es) (share as much or as little as you like)? Blighted ovum discovered at 7 weeks in Feb 2021, didn't end up losing it until 10.5 weeks. Two CPs last summer. Spontaneous loss at 9 weeks in late September 2021. I tested positive for Covid and wasn't able to get a D&C scheduled so I ended up in the ER again (also happened the first time) in October. Just a garbage situation.
How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically? Physically feeling ok. I always get more nauseated as the day goes on, and it's worst at night. Emotionally I've been a wreck the past week. I keep thinking each milestone/week will make me less anxious, but that turning point hasn't happened yet.
Any appointment updates? We have a 9 week appointment & ultrasound on Monday. It's the appointment we found out about our last loss at and I've just been having a really hard time not being preemptively sad about another potential loss.
Any big milestones? None
Rants/Raves/Questions? I bought a new (used) car yesterday! While I hate shopping for cars, driving home in something new ish was fun. My 2011 CRV was beloved for a long time, but just needing a change. DS1 (2 yrs) was already pretty cramped in the backseat of my old car and we really wanted some more space.
@aukeev haha glad to have found another Happy Baby fan. I got oregano, it’s one of the corduroy fabric. I also have an agave onbuhimo and a sorbet toddler carrier. I hope your ultrasound on Monday goes perfectly 💜, I know that anxiety all too well

@aukeev sending you positive vibes for the perfect US. i know the feeling well.
Since @coco2787 mentioned HBC I’ve been looking and I’m convinced I need one. I had a used ergo with my daughter as she lived in it. I love what the company stands for and that their carriers claim to be c section friendly bc I will be having one.
@wigglyicecream check out the Happy Baby FB group (if you haven’t yet) you can find a used one for around $100 if you don’t want to commit to buying new

Previous loss(es) (share as much or as little as you like)? 1 Missed MC in May 2021. Did not have any signs of MC, so I found out at the NT scan at 12 weeks but it had happened earlier than that. After doing the karyotype, we learned that the baby had Turners.
How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically? Aversions and nausea is going strong, but manageable.
Any appointment updates? NT second week of February! I'm both nervous and excited. The first time around my partner couldn't come, which made the news that much more difficult to hear since I was alone at the doctor's office. He's coming with me this time which is making my anxiety go down a bit.
Any big milestones? Heard the heartbeat at my 8-week scan last week
Rants/Raves/Questions? Finally getting over COVID! Tested negative over a week ago, but still had dry coughing. I'm on an inhaler now and that has been a huge help.
Best wishes to us all during a time of much uncertainty, stay strong.
@bobloblaw87 what amazing news! @anniemarie887 hopefully you successfully avoid HFMD! @maggiemadeit I love being a mom & having a job too, but yeah - the balancing act is so hard and it always feels like I'm behind. @paytonpedro so glad to hear you are feeling better! @aukeev I hope your appointment goes well tomorrow! I'll be keeping an eye out for an update. @zzz2022 so happy you got to hear the heartbeat! That's such an awesome milestone! @arimelo yay for passing the 8 week milestone! @fuzzywombat oh no! I'm so sorry to hear your two year old was exposed. FX he doesn't get it and can go back to his classroom soon. @coco2787 I'm so glad your second ultrasound went well! @katiecattherese yay to hearing the heartbeat at 10 weeks and baby moving on the u/s!
Weeks/EDD?10W6D, 8/6
Previous loss(es) (share as much or as little as you like)? 2 losses - 6 week MMC & 7 week MMC
How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically? I had been thinking the nausea subsided, as I had a couple of really good days, but unfortunately for me, it was short lived. Emotionally, I'm finally allowing myself to picture life with this baby. The first 6 weeks (since finding out) were emotionally straining due to fear and unexplained spotting. But after 2 really good u/s and hearing baby on the doppler, I'm at a point where I'm beginning to relax. I'm really looking forward to being in the 2nd tri in two weeks.
Any appointment updates? 1/26
Any big milestones? None recently.
Rants/Raves/Questions? Nothing really to rant or rave about. I'm just tired all the time and dealing with an energetic 4 year old every morning before I have time to wake up is starting to take its toll.
Thank you all for your encouragement and support! The ultrasound today went well. Still on track with EDD of 8/24 Assuming the 12 week scan is good, I will be released to a regular OB on February 8.
