R/R: Finally back onto somewhat of a schedule and temping, so hopefully I can catch my period the day it comes. I don't know when exactly to take it because this was my first cycle taking letrozole but then I got covid before ovulating so who knows when I will. Once AF makes her appearance, I'll be able to actually do an IUI cycle since we had to cancel this one with the covid.

Also planning to enjoy this week since it's my last full week before classes start midweek next week. I'm probably going to spend it mostly working on the hand quilting on my big blanket that I made during my isolation. Our weekend was nice because I worked, so I got out of the house and saw people other than just my husband for the first time in two weeks, and then went to my parents' house yesterday and I sewed with my mom for a while. Also my mom passed along our family secret santa gifts and my aunt got me the beautiful very nice sewing scissors I was coveting, which doesn't sound like much if you don't sew but they're SO NICE and I love them.

@fantasyflyte Ooh, love the fancy scissors! My mom definitely had a pair of "DO NOT TOUCH" scissors when I was a kid. Glad you are getting ready for your IUI after the disappointment this month!

Timing: good

Typical LP length: 12 (but currently on progesterone)

Testing: BFN yesterday, testing one more time tomorrow

R/R: I've somewhat come to terms with the BFN. Just waiting for the final confirmation tomorrow before stopping progesterone and then hopefully moving on to the next cycle quickly. It helps that our semester starts today so I have been very busy and distracted.

CS/Q: For those of you that use CoQ10, do I need to talk to my doctor before starting? I'm setting up an appointment for later this month to discuss my thyroid, but I was debating if I could go ahead and start CoQ10 or if I need to wait until after the appointment.

@fantasyflyte I'm so glad you made it out of isolation! It feels good to be back amongst the rest of humanity, right? Fingers crossed AF shows for you soon so you can get that IUI cycle started.

R/R: Rave - I made it home! After the unexpectedly-extended holiday (thanks, Covid) I am so pleased to be back in my own house. The in-laws are lovely and they cook delicious Italian food, but I made myself nachos as soon as I got back 😂 There's just something about eating what you choose that I needed.

@abjm0325 i have never heard that CoQ10 is one of those "talk to yr doctor" things. it doesn't to my knowledge interact with other drugs or cause side effects. it also takes a couple of months before one would expect to "see" results since follicles begin developing several months before their turn in a cycle. so i vote for just starting it!

@optimistgardener Thank you for the input! I figured it probably wouldn't hurt anything (and might help in the long run), so I'll go ahead and get some ordered.

@abjm0325 I agree with optimist, it's not the kind of supplement you really need a Dr to weigh in on. Optimal dosage for fertility purposes is usually 400mg of CoQ10, or 200mg Ubiquinol, which is the more bio-available (and thus more $$) form of CoQ10. Since it has 2x greater bioavailability you only need 1/2 the dosage. It's something YH might consider taking too, since it has benefits for both men and women when it comes to our fertility.

@abjm0325 what @optimistgardener said. I can't remember how old you are, but the older you are, the higher the dose you should be taking. Also, ubiquinol is better absorbed than C0Q10, so I would recommend that. Also, 200mg is the best dose if you're not doing IVF. If you're gonna be in that bucket at any point of time (I hope not), then that does goes up to 600mg!

@fantasyflyte I am glad that you love your new sewing scissors. Similarly to @abjm0325, my mother also had a pair of scissors that weren't to be touched.

@Paturkey yay for being home! I hear you on being glad to spend time / eat with in-laws, but having the freedom to eat / do what you want. This past weekend was our first weekend since mid-Nov that we weren't traveling and/or hosting and I LOVED IT.

R/R: As mentioned above in reply to @Paturkey, this was the first weekend in mid-Nov that we didn't travel and also didn't host anyone and were also at home, and it was the most relaxing of weekends. The only work I did was un-decorating our Christmas tree and doing the weekly shopping. Otherwise, I binged on And Just Like That and did other things for physical and mental replenishment. Which I definitely needed because my schedule this week is INSANE. I am getting anxious looking at it, and have been aggressively rejecting meeting invites so that I can do performance reviews that are due next week (peer reviews, self review, and manager review.)

@acleverusername I'm so glad you got a relaxing weekend! That is a LOT of hosting/traveling. Fingers crossed you can stay productive this week during that stressful schedule.

@abjm0325 @kiki047: MH has been taking C0Q10 for over a year; it's supposed to be really helpful to both sexes.
