I'll be the newbie this week. Hi, I'm Leanne (go figure).
Ages (you and SO): 30 & 39

How many months have you been TTC?: 1

What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: OPK

We have a 7 year old son and a 4 year old husky/shepherd mix. I work from home ever since the great month of March 2020, and I love it. We were married on a Saturday this fall and closed on our home the Thursday before!
We enjoy camping, concerts, trail riding SxS/ATV, mudding (we built our second mud truck last winter), fishing, tropical vacations, cars, weekends at the racetrack, cooking together, and movie nights at home.

@leannechristina welcome!! Love that list of things you guys like to do. Sounds very active. I’m hoping to add more hiking/outdoor travels/camping to our lives in 2022. Things MH and I both love, but haven’t spent much time doing the last couple years.

@annanbby I recommend hammocks, giant Jenga, Reese’s in your s’mores, and Busch apple. We’ll see what camping looks like this year. Fingers crossed that I’ll be drinking lemon water instead!

Heyyyy! I used to hang around these parts about 5 years or so ago. Excited to be a back!

Ages (you and SO): 31 (32 in a week!) & 36

How many months have you been TTC?: Just started tfas

What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: We've been ntnp for about 3 months but for upcoming cycles I just ordered an ava bracelet and will start OPKs this cycle too.

Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) I have a 10 month old daughter, W, that was a full blown miracle (details in siggy below.) Husb and I have been together almost 14 years. We both work from home, I'm in tech sales so I'm on the road during the day a bit. It took us 5 years to conceive W but I'm still hopeful this time will be easier!

(PS hi friends from back in the day and friends from Feb '21!)

@tamalahoops I second what @optimistgardener said; I hope your journey this time around is going to be much easier. Question: how did you get the diagnosis of "poor egg quality"? It's definitely clear to see that your IVF cycle results definitely allude to that, but did you get the diagnosis before or after? Either way, I really do hope your stay here is short but very sweet.

@acleverusername it was a diagnosis of elimination basically. I had somewhat low progesterone during my IUI's and TI cycles and initially had a diagnosis of ovulatory dysfunction - undetermined, I think. After my IVF cycle my RE changed it to egg quality issues. The concern was over the number of mature, fertilized eggs vs the number of PGS normal embryos we were able to get. It was incredibly frustrating because it still wasn't really an answer, we were told by my RE that if I was a lab rat they'd just keep running retrievals and changing protocols to see if that helped. But I had pretty crappy complications from my one retrieval that made me reluctant to try again.

@tamalahoops I hadn’t heard of the Ava bracelet before. Interesting. Which package did you go with?

Do you wear an Apple Watch, Fitbit or other health tracker in addition or would this be your only “bracelet”?

Hey @tamalahoops, I don't think we really overlapped in TTGP back when you were doing IVF but I've seen your name around a lot so it feels like I "know" you. GL TFAS, I hope this go-around is less eventful than the first.

@leannechristina I don't wear a tracker otherwise, no. I don't have the patience for temping this go around for a whole bunch of reasons so I'm hoping the Ava helps with that. I went with the one with the 6 month guarantee because I'm gonna go ahead and guess that it will take me longer than 6 months given my history. We're committed to trying on our own for a year, I anticipate it taking at least that long. Once we hit a year we'll head back to the RE.

Welcome @scunliffe thank you for being willing to adjust your approach. I've read your other posts and have no advice beyond what has been already said. You may find some more answers using the search feature. The women of this board are the most supportive you will find on the internet, as long as you are willing to do the hard work of reading first, asking second. There are a lot of acronyms to learn, but the payoff is worth it. I hope your stay here is smooth and short.
