9 weeks and I'm having CRAZY nightmares every night. They aren't about pregnancy, but I think the underlying message is probably about being pregnant.

My nausea has calmed down since I've started taking 50mg B6 in addition to my prenatal, but I'm still having food aversions and a mildly yucky feeling some days. I think some fatigue is starting to kick in.

Oh, and I'm really having to watch my fiber intake 😳
  • I am nauseous, but hungry all the time. I have significant food aversions...

What are you all able to eat?

I can eat pb on bread.. mashed potatoes, diced peaches... and well, not a whole lot else.

    Helllp.
  • First pregnancy. 5w6d. Slowly built over the last few days but today it feels like I’ve been hit by a truck. Exhausted, can’t keep my eyes open, nauseas most of the day, mild cramps, and I’m very emotional. Poor husband has been very supportive all day while I sleep, complain about nausea, and cry lol
  • @onlygooddays08 pregnancy dreams are wild. I definitely had a dream last night that I delivered twins on my livingroom floor. Lol.
  • I actually had energy today. Still nauseous most of the stay and had to take a nap, but I had enough energy to be out and about the rest of the day. I’ve been in bed practically all day this last week.
  • I'm not sure if this is a pregnancy dream or just a mom dream: I was really tired and took a nap recently while dh watched the kids, but I dreamed that I was still with them, they were making trouble and had a big fight that I had to settle... I woke up feeling like I had not had the break I was supposed to have had 🤦🏻

  • @geshem I have had dreams like that. They’re the worst! Kind of like when you have dreams you’re at work 😖
  • The being ravenous thing is me too. My appetite is insatiable! I keep cheese and yogurt and nuts next to my bed. My hunger wakes me up in the middle of the night. I don’t know what to do! Also having such a hard time sleeping these days. I wake up in the middle of the night and can’t get back to sleep for hours. Wish I could take something like melatonin but I hear it’s not safe!
  • @420sawse try 1 tab of unisom - my doctor recommended it for nausea but its an antihistamine like benadryl and will knock you right out :)
  • Yesterday was horribly nauseous, had a big headache, and aches all over. Turns out I'm sick... Double whammy. Don't have a fever but that's my biggest worry right now.
  • has anyone taken zofran ? will a doctor prescribe it or is it a last resort kinda thing ?
  • @Katek819 I haven’t taken Zofran in pregnancy, but if you feel like you need it, you should definitely talk to your doctor! Even if they don’t prescribe it, maybe they could give you other tips.
  • @Katek819 I took it a couple times during my first pregnancy when I absolutely could not function because of the vomiting but then got too paranoid about the possible negative impact to the baby so I stopped.
  • Question!

This is TMI so I’m going to spoiler it, regarding cm- will absolutely not include a picture of any sort!
Anyone else have globby cm that looks like mucus plug? It’s not every time I wipe but at least once a day I think and I just don’t remember having any cm in my previous pregnancies, but esp. not this weird consistency. I have no itching or smell so I’m not concerned about infection, just curious!

  • Has anyone had back pain?  It started at 9 weeks currently 9 weeks 6 days after any kind of semi strenuous activity it’s not just lower back but up and down. I had an ultrasound after the pain started and the baby looks fine.  I don’t mind the pain per say but obviously don’t want to harm the baby. I just am just curious what other people think.  Thanks!
  • @knottie I have herniated discs so I might not be the best person to answer this because I regularly have back pain. I was having a flare that cleared up around my bfp time. Then around 6 weeks my back started hurting a little differently than it had been prior. More just sore, and not as sharp as normal. I chalked it up to relaxin hormone and third pregnancy and my doctor assured me that I would probably feel aches and pains sooner this to around. It has since basically gone away and I feel pretty good.
Also, it will be a lot easier for us to tag you and get to know you if you change your username. There are directions on how to do so in the Read This First thread!

@katiek819 i have been taking zofran consistently for about the past week or so after my doctor prescribed it. I had tried b6 and unisom but it did nothing, and zofran is the only thing that has given me any relief so far. I have many physician friends whove taken it also. I initially was scared and hesitant about the cleft lip and heart defects study, but after looking into it more it seems that 1. The potential associations are so incredibly rare and 2. They couldnt rule out that the defects werent actually caused by malnutrition instead (which makes sense if you cant keep anything down). At the end of the day, with all that research I decided that if zofran allows me to eat nutritiously and hydrate, its doing more good for the baby than any potential harm that hasnt even been proven. Just my 2 cents!
  • @paytonpedro I LOL'd about the picture. I actually saw one in another board the other day and it was HORRIFYING. Why would anyone post a pic of their CM on the internet???? My fault for clicking, but still!

But anyway, yes, I have exactly the same thing and I had it in my precious pregnancies too. I read that the mucus plug starts to form around 7 weeks, so probably related to that.
  • Dry heaving pretty regularly. That’s a fun time. Not actually throwing up but just my body trying to and then a lump in my throat for like 15 minutes. Rinse repeat. Anyone else?

  • @paytonpedro yes to the CM. It’s so much! Sometimes it takes a ride and goes swinging 😆😆 isn’t it too early for that?!

  • @and_peggy & @maggiemadeit ok thank you for making me feel normal! Lol. Or normal-ish…? 😅
@maggiemadeit when I was active in TTGP, we had a few who gave us horrifying pictures of bodily fluids, so I had to specify!
@and_peggy Yes. Me. Dry heaving all day. It’s making my stomach muscles hurt! I’ve got a day and a half’s worth of dishes in my sink and I can’t even do them. When I try I’m just dry heaving the whole time. I’m glad there’s no actual vomiting but the constant gaging is pretty miserable!
  • @paytonpedro yes to the mucus! I haven’t had it every day but I have noticed it a few times.
  • I don’t know that this is necessarily a pregnancy symptom at this point, probably more like a “bad sleeping position” symptom or an “I’m getting old” symptom. but dang my knees have been hurting the last 2 days! Probably should figure that out before it turns into an actual pregnancy symptom huh?
  • @itsme215 Did you get a covid booster in the last two days? Because that randomly killed my knees!
  • Here's one I forgot from last time: some mild hair loss! Feels like a preamble to postpartum hair loss 😅  it's calming down a bit but for like a week there it was heavy shedding
  • @wisewitch222 I did not but good suggestion! I’ve heard of that messing with peoples joints. I got mine in October and it was like the worst flu ever for me for about 36 hours afterwards. Fun times!
  • @paytonpedro I would have never thought to ask it, but YES, the CM production is out of control. Just a really weird pregnancy symptom.
  • @paytonpedro add me to the CM in excess club. It has been one of my first symptoms in each pregnancy and didn’t go away while pregnant with my daughter. TMI  I would change bottoms often bc it would feel gross
  • @mehugg I have the opposite, my hair grows crazy thick during pregnancy, and then it all falls out and I am nearly bald postpartum. I'm still growing out baby hairs from my last kid, and he's almost 3!
  • @wigglyicecream ok here I am going through 2+ pairs of undies a day 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I mean, it’s just weird for me because I’ve always been dry-er.
  • @paytonpedro I would suggest panty liners but I don’t like how they feel so I just deal with it. And same, with the exception of about to start AF and personally being pregnant
  • @maggiemadeit oh I totally get there too, it just starts with shedding. I've accepted I won't have "normal" hair until I'm done with the kid having. Thick headbands 4ever
  • @paytonpedro @wigglyicecream +1 for the excess CM club lol. It happens with all of my pregnancies and starts so soon and lasts the whole pregnancy. Lovely  :#
  • @aukeev yup, me too
    @and_peggy 🤣 I can relate!

  • Well, I'm down 3lbs. Not exactly what I had in mind. I'm sure its fine but obv don't want that trend to continue.

I just cannot eat enough bc all the aversions and nausea.
  • I'm super jealous of people whose nausea gets better when they walk. Every day I think I'm feeling better and then I get up and do something that involves being on my feet for more than 30 seconds and I feel sick again. I feel so useless!
  • This is a random one, ladies, but does anyone have any experience of the effect of jet lag on pregnancy symptoms?

I’m 7w2d and I just flew back to the UK from a 2 week vacation in the US, and all of a sudden it feels like my pregnancy symptoms are ‘off’. I’m obviously still very tired but the morning sickness I had started to get regularly in the morning isn’t really there anymore? Trying not to worry too much but it’s my first pregnancy so I’m worried about everything, lol.
