Weeks/EDD? 7weeks/ 8-11

Previous loss(es) (share as much or as little as you like)? Mc at 5 weeks in July

How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically? Emotionally I’m trying to stay positive and doing a pretty good job! My hcg was great and we saw a heartbeat at the u/s. Physically, it’s the exact opposite. I feel like death. A cold swept through my house (yay for kindergarten!!) and we’re all just getting over it. I feel so absolutely fatigued it’s debilitating. I’m super nauseous most of the day and although no vomiting, I’ve been super close. I’m also having all the food aversions.

Any appointment updates? Next appt is 1/3/22

Any big milestones? Not this week.

Rants/Raves/Questions? We’ve decided we’re going to tell our boys on Christmas, which means the rest of our family they see that day will also find out. We do a video on Christmas morning every year just saying merry Christmas and what Santa got them, so at the end I’m just going to say “oh, one more thing! There’s a baby in my belly!” and catch their reactions! I had a dream about it last night that my video wasn’t working and stupid H stopped recording too soon and didn’t get it. Lmao. I’m super nervous that it’s too soon, but it just feels right so we’re going to roll with it.

Weeks/EDD? 7+4 // 8/7

Previous loss(es) (share as much or as little as you like)? BO + D&C at 13 weeks 9/9. MC at 7 weeks 2015

How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically? I feel like trash. I’m on the verge of throwing up but I’m okay. The extreme exhaustion seems to have left the building. Emotionally, so much better now that I’ve been in to the OB.

Any appointment updates? Went yesterday. My OB could see the anxiety in my eyes and didn’t waste any time. She scanned right away. I didn’t even have time to be emotional. My BP is already high, which has been a concern in multiple pregnancies, and has led to pre-e. She’s going to start me on baby aspirin after my next appointment.

Any big milestones?

Rants/Raves/Questions? I’m already thinking about so many things. I’m just really grateful for a baby, a healthy baby.

How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically?

Had an ultrasound on Monday. We saw twins but only 1 had heart beat. So happy to see that heart beat, sad I lost another baby, a little relieved I won’t be having twins, terrified I’ll lose the other baby.

Any appointment updates? First appointment with OB on 1/4

Any big milestones? Passed my loss milestone this week

Rants/Raves/Questions? Anyone with experience losing a twin? I read some scary stats, but have been better about not googling the past few days

@fuzzywombat I think someone else on this board had a twin loss. I forget who. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Weeks/EDD? 5 weeks, 8/25

Previous loss(es) (share as much or as little as you like)? Preterm labor at 30 weeks, son passed 5 1/2 weeks later.

How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically? Feeling better now that my 3rd beta showed a great increase. And my progesterone was through the roof. But feeling nervous that my Dr had me stop my progesterone supplements. I know she knows what she's doing being a fertility specialist, but still nervous in changing anything that got me pregnant.

Any appointment updates? first ultrasound 1/3.

Any big milestones? My big milestone will be passing 30 +4, as that's when my son was born. I'll be happy to graduate from our fertility Dr onto my regular OB, as then I'm sure we'll be outlining the plan of care for this pregnancy. Being high risk, I believe there will be frequent monitoring which will be nice.

Rants/Raves/Questions? we've told 2 sets of parents, 1 side of siblings and a few friends. We still have 1 more set of parents and siblings to tell, which I think we're going to do tomorrow on a Zoom call (they're all out of state) I feel like at this point and the loss that we had, we need all the support we can get. The whole getting past the first trimester is a moot point for us, as we know it can happen at any time really. I still feel weird telling people so early. BUT everyone has been so excited and very supportive so far.

Weeks/EDD? 5+3 Aug 22

Previous loss(es) (share as much or as little as you like)? 2 CP, MMC @9 weeks and MMC at @14 weeks

How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically?

Physically starting to feel pretty crappy. Emotionally, I’m still anxious AF. I’ve had two sets of good betas now but with my MMC my hormone levels looked good too so that only gives me so much reassurance. Even with a healthy pregnancy since my losses it’s hard to believe this could actually work out.

Any appointment updates? First ultrasound is Jan 3rd. I have PTSD with ultrasounds and even if it goes well I don’t know how relieved I’ll feel. With our 14 week loss we had seen a heartbeat 4 times and had normal NIPT results so I’m always waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Any big milestones? Not yet

Rants/Raves/Questions? I’m still not sure when to tell close people, I’d love to be able to send an ultrasound picture to surprise them but if we get bad news I don’t want to either pretend like the pregnancy never happened or be like hey we were pregnant but now we’re not. So I’m leaning towards telling people a few days before the ultrasound and then just updating after it’s over. But I also feel like a downer with so many losses and feel like people are probably sick of my pregnancy drama so part of me also wants to keep it to myself for a while.

@coco2787 I get what you mean about not telling anyone. I won’t be sharing with our family until I pass the first trimester. I’ll feel comfortable telling my kids at that point, and they can spread the news.

Up until yesterday, nobody but DH knew but after my scan, I told a few friends from previous bmbs so I could have someone to share with. But I’m really liking the secret from my family.

Previous loss(es) (share as much or as little as you like)? CP in Sept

How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically? Well, covid has made its way into our home. So that was stressful. But everyone is doing great. My OB got me monoclonal antibodies last night, even tho my symptoms were very mild, and today I feel completely normal. So normal I don’t feel pregnant, so that’s a PGAL mindfuck. I did take a test today, which turned + basically immediately.

Any appointment updates? Nope, still Jan 20th

Any big milestones? I started bleeding last time at 5w, so to get past that milestone feels big.

Rants/Raves/Questions? Just sad to not see family at Christmas.

Previous loss(es) (share as much or as little as you like)? MMC at 8 weeks in August

How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically? Physically, all over the place. I'm finally getting the constipation handled with fiber gummies, but the gas is overwhelming! Some days I feel fine, others ick. Today, I was hungry every 2 hours. My boobs are so swollen and heavy I had to bust out my old nursing bras and buy a few more. Oh and the exhaustion and sleeping like crap doesn't help.
Emotionally, I'm at extremes. Either happy, or stressed, or angry. And I feel for my husband dealing with the emotional roller-coaster that is me lately.

Any appointment updates? None. Calling next week hopefully to make one once my insurance card arrives. Hoping I get all the labs/scans done since I'll be 10 weeks as of 1/2

Any big milestones? If this baby is still alive, I made it as far as my last pregnancy.

Weeks/EDD? 5+ weeks, Aug 23

Previous loss(es) (share as much or as little as you like)? Early loss in August.

How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically? Emotionally I’m still trying to decide if this is really happening. I had really wanted to tell our families tomorrow when we’re all together, but now that it’s almost here I don’t feel so sure. They know about our loss, and I don’t want to drag them through another, or get their hopes up, in case this isn’t really real.

Any appointment updates? I wish. Waiting so impatiently for my first appointment at 10+ weeks.

Any big milestones? I think making it to 6 weeks next week will feel good. I didn’t make it that far last time. But of course I know anything can happen at any time.

Rants/Raves/Questions? Just grateful for the PGAL ladies sharing here. Checking in with you all and hearing your perspectives helps me so much. Thanks for sharing ❤️

Previous loss(es) (share as much or as little as you like)? 2 previous losses, one before DS @ 6 weeks and the other after DS @ 7 weeks.

How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically? Constantly nauseous, sore boobs, tired.

Any appointment updates? No new appointments until 1/10.

Any big milestones? Making it to 7 weeks and seeing a healthy baby on the ultrasound really improved my overall anxiety.

Rants/Raves/Questions? Despite being on vacation for the next week and a half, I'm stressed with all the holiday plans we have and wishing I could just vege at home instead.

I think fiber gummies can cause gas @returning_bump_member, Colace and magnesium glycinate are both pregnancy safe constipation meds and might have fewer side effects

Ugh @maggiemadeit I could not handle waiting until 10 weeks to be seen 😖

Previous loss(es) (share as much or as little as you like)? 2 CPs from IUIs in 2016, assumed I could never get pregnant naturally

How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically?
Feeling okay physically, sore boobs, occasional nausea but no puking yet, more tired than usual
Emotionally, I’m excited but trying to stay calm and also super scared about losing it because I feel like this could be my only chance since it took 7 years to get this one

Any appointment updates? 1st appt yesterday was good, got to see the baby and heartbeat even though she didn’t tell us how fast it was. Next appt is on 1/7

Any big milestones?
Just yesterday’s appointment. I never thought I would have a sonogram of my actual baby to put on my fridge but I do! Leaning towards telling my family tomorrow.

Rants/Raves/Questions?
What would you do in this situation: I got blood work and a pap done yesterday and the doctor said the nurse would call next week if anything was concerning. I got an email that the results are in my patient portal already this morning. It’s Christmas Eve. I don’t want to look and freak myself out all weekend over something that may or may not be concerning and ruin Christmas. I think I’m just going to wait until Monday and see if the nurse calls. If not, I’ll check myself and call her if I see something that seems questionable to me. I’m not really *expecting* anything bad since the appointment yesterday was good, but you never know. If there is something bad, there’s not really anything I can do about it now anyway since everywhere will be closed for Christmas. It’s still tempting to look though.

Weeks/EDD? 4+5, due 8/28

Previous loss(es) (share as much or as little as you like)? Stillborn daughter 7/28 at 21 weeks. I experienced PPROM at 20+2.

How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically? Emotionally excited & scared, but excited. Physically just fine, a little nauseated but nothing major.

Any appointment updates? Labs done, waiting for doc to call us on Monday with results but he’s already said first ultrasound will be week after next.

Any big milestones? Not yet, getting past 21 weeks will be my big milestone

Weeks/EDD? 5w 6d (8/21 due date)

Previous loss(es) (share as much or as little as you like)? First pregnancy ended in MC at 5-6 weeks. Then shortly after had a healthy pregnancy with DS.

How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically? Mild nausea and aversion kicked in recently, which is giving me great peace of mind (w my MC I never got to the nausea phase).

Any appointment updates? Intake appt (via phone) is 1/7, then in the weeks following we'll schedule the first ultrasound.

Any big milestones? I'm strangely relieved to have entered the nausea/aversion phase. I'll be grateful for a positive first US.

Weeks/EDD? 7+6. 8/10

Previous loss(es) (share as much or as little as you like)?

I’ve had two losses. My first loss was a MMC in January of 2018. I found out I was pregnant right before Christmas. Had brown discharge and then the night before my 1st appointment I had red bleeding. Went to urgent care and there was no HB. it was very hard bc I had an early US just a week or so before and there was a heart beat. My first appointment turned into an unmedicated D&C in the office which was hard. My second loss was January of this year 2021. I got pregnant right before Christmas again and this time it was coronal ectopic. At my dating US they couldn’t find the baby, they didn’t but didn’t tell me anything was wrong at first. Printed me pics and let me see the HB. Then the dr came in and told me the bad news. My dating US turned into another D&C this time in the OR bc of the position of the pregnancy. The dr wasn’t able to get all of it and the pregnancy tissue continued to grow and ruptured which led to emergent abdominal surgery later in the month. So I’ve been pregnant 4 times for Christmas and this pregnancy is due the same month as my other two losses.

How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically?

Emotionally I am slightly relieved after today’s appointment but still kind of numb. It’s hard for me to connect to this pregnancy bc of the timing. I think I will feel better as I get further along. Physically I feel like garbage. I don’t remember being this sick with my daughter or tired or anything.
