Re: PGAL w/o 12.2
Previous loss(es)?: MMC April 2021
How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically?: I am feeling good, emotionally. Physically I have nausea and I vomited (!!!) which I never got with my first pregnancy. It's giving me a lot of confidence and then I hear a little voice in my head telling me not to get too excited.
Any appointment updates?: First appt and scan 12/13. UGH! so far away.
Rants/Raves/Questions?: My mom is out visiting! We haven't told anyone but I think she suspects. I had her come out because my husband is traveling and I didn't want to be alone during these few weeks just in case. I want to tell her, but I am so scared of telling anyone until we've had an US. Part of my coping is sort of pretending this isn't happening.
Any milestones coming up?: I'm not getting a scan until after I got one for my first pregnancy so it's hard to say. I'm not really focusing on milestones timewise, just trying to get to my first scan and see a heartbeat. My last pregnancy I went in at 8 weeks and the baby was measuring a week behind and saw a heartbeat. Then two weeks later started bleeding, got an emergency ultrasound and baby had only grown a week and no heartbeat. Had a MC 2 days later.
GTKY: what is your favorite winter activity: I'm really not sure! I grew up in Southern California so we didn't really have winter activities. Now I live in Maryland but where I am winter is pretty mild. Not a lot of snow but we do get ice. My favorite winter activity is leaving so I don't have to deal with it lol. Or just staying inside!
Previous loss(es)? a MMC in Aug - baby never grew past 6+3 but not diagnosed until end of week 10
How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically? physically much more nauseous this past week and up and down with eating, which is just annoying. emotionally getting worried/excited for my upcoming appointment.
Any appointment updates? saw OB at 6+4 and baby measured 6+1, which i know is within range of normal but so wished it was on target or further along to be past the dating last time. HR was 114bpm, which doc said was fine but he wasn't enthusiastic about, and I was diagnosed with an SCH. I have an upcoming appointment tomorrow at 8+4 to check on the SCH and make sure babe is growing
Rants/Raves/Questions? i just really hate first trimester, i always feel like garbage the whole time and it's hard to do my normal stuff. I also work in mental health and spend an hour at a time with people with minimal breaks, and it's really hard to pretend you are okay for an extended time when you just want to puke. It's also really hard because last pregnancy that we lost, i felt all the awful symptoms up until a few days before my D&C even with baby not growing fo rweeks....so part of me is really worried that is happening again. I"m not reassured at all by symptoms really and just hoping that they are all worth it this time
Any milestones coming up? i'm anxious for my appt tomorrow and to see babe growing beyond where our last babe did
GTKY: what is your favorite winter activity? sleeping. I actually really like to run/walk outside in the winter. it's so quiet and the cold air is so refreshing. I'm a little worried about running this winter in the Midwest due to ice and being pregnant so may just stick to walks. I also really like baking cookies and other comfort foods.Secretly hoping things all keep going well with baby so i can eat however many xmas cookies i want and blame it on the baby

@quelinda99 - I love how happy you are that you vomited haha! Pregnancy is a trip!
@runnergirl2018 - Best of luck at your appointment. I'm taking a moment to close my eyes and cross my fingers for you.
@peppylilfoxy - I'm so happy you are here. I cried reading your intro and it made me feel so connected to you. I'm also a multiple loss mama and we've been through more than our fair share of hardship. I'm pulling for you mama.
@bumblebee0210 - I feel ya on the ultrasound PTSD girl. That shit is realllllll.
Weeks/EDD/How many times a mom? 9 weeks on TB tomorrow, July 8th, One Living Child (almost 4), 6 Angel Babies, and well one in the oven.
Previous loss(es)? MC at 6 weeks prior to my son, chemical in Oct. 2019, MC at 11.5 weeks in Feb 2020, Loss at 22 weeks due to Turner's Syndrome in Oct 2020, chemical loss in Dec 2020 and a Ectopic loss in March 2021 where I saved my organs but had to do a 3 month round of chemo called Methotrexate. What a journey.
How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically? I feel like shiiiiiiiiiit lol. I've never had too rough of a time in any pregnancy yet (no vomiting) but this go around I just want to be laying down 24/7 with no responsibilities ever. I'm so bloated, my skin is an absolute train wreck, and I feel like getting any actual work tasks done is just impossible. Emotionally, I'm still in a good place - just taking my vitamins and taking it day by day.... that's all I can do. Whenever I get anxious I imagine tying a ribbon around my baby and up around my heart. If they baby leaves they can take that piece of my heart with them, but it always makes me feel like they are a little more secure in there to envision that tether.
Any appointment updates? I missed my ultrasound date due to sniffles and have yet to reschedule (probably because of ultrasound PTSD 😂) nothing an ultrasound will tell me that my body won't tell me in it's own time.
Rants/Raves/Questions? everytime I am in one of these groups I'm just totally stunned at the costs that our American neighbours have to pay for basic health things. And no guaranteed parental leave! My gosh, I don't know how you all are doing it! Props to each of you. I forget how good we have it in Canada and I hope all the things that are universal here become universal there someday soon too. In my last group people asked the Canadians a ton about how our Healthcare/Maternity leave etc. works (there is a lot of misinformation in the States about it!) but if you have questions, I'm happy to share!
Any milestones coming up? 75% of the first tri done!
GTKY: what is your favorite winter activity? All of them! I'm Canadian! Lol. But especially starting seedling indoors in preparation for a beautiful and successful summer garden.
@runnergirl2018 hope everything goes well for your appointment tomorrow! Let us know how it goes
@peppylilfoxy what your friend is doing for you is such a wonderful thing!
@bumblebee0210 I'm rooting for you! Hopefully the holidays can be a good distraction from how much longer until 1st tri is over
@rubyrose_0919 you're welcome! That's a lovely visual for when you're anxious ❤️

Dumb question maybe, but I lean towards considering myself a 4th time mom. My third baby was a loss but still a baby to me. 😢
Previous loss(es)? 1 MMC in July
How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically? Emotionally, I’ve cried about things that are super sweet. Also, cried over the thought of needy kids this holiday season. Physically, I’ve felt nauseous, had a migraine the past two days, sore boobs and exhausted. Hoping that’s all good signs!
Any appointment updates? Tomorrow!! 🥳 I’m so nervous. We found out at my 8w appt in July that baby was measuring 6w1d and couldn’t find a heartbeat so I’m praying this baby is growing in track and we will see a heartbeat tomorrow.
Rants/Raves/Questions? Raves- my dog ate grease out of the grease trap on our smoker and puked it up. I cannot deal with the smell and my poor husband has to clean it up on his birthday.
Any milestones coming up? I feel like every day I still feel symptoms past 6w1d is a milestone.
GTKY: what is your favorite winter activity? I love sitting at home with a cup of coffee, under a blanket when it snows! Once it’s done, I like to be outside in it.
@quelinda99 I hate ice but it’s so pretty on the trees!
@peppylilfoxy i love watching curling on the Olympics!
@bumblebee0210 I know what you mean about not feeling hopeful despite having symptoms. I was the same way with my loss. Hopefully that’s not the case for us this time around.
Weeks/EDD/How many times a mom? 6w5d/July 24/4TM
Previous loss(es)? Miscarried in august
How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically? Emotionally pretty anxious and excited. Nausea is really kicking in. I didn’t have any symptoms with my loss, but I know that’s not a guarantee either. But I am glad to have something.
Any appointment updates? Baby was measuring 2 weeks behind this week but that was based on LMP and I’m hoping it’s off a bit anyhow. We saw a great heartbeat though. I have another ultrasound on dec 8.
Rants/Raves/Questions? I wonder if there will ever be a point when I feel a little bit of relief this pregnancy
Any milestones coming up? If I make it past today I make it past my loss day
GTKY: what is your favorite winter activity? Probably everything Christmas related: movies, lights, songs, etc
Previous loss(es)? Three losses in 2017, blighted ovum in October.
How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically? Physically, I'm feeling more symptomatic than any of my other pregnancies which has actually helped my anxiety just a bit. Yesterday, I went to the bathroom and saw brown blood and flipped out. I've never had bleeding during pregnancy and had a good outcome, so I called my OB and fit me in same-day. Confirmed pregnancy in uterus with a heartrate at 127 measuring 6+4. I was so, so relieved in that moment.
Any appointment updates? Next week, 12/9 for my official intake appointment. I'll be 7+4.
Rants/Raves/Questions?
Any milestones coming up? My blighted ovum and loss were at 7+3, so coming up on that milestone next week as well.
GTKY: what is your favorite winter activity? Cuddling in front of a warm fire and drinking hot cocoa.

What a great due date to be able to enjoy the summer! Doing what works for your family is always the best choice, it stinks that people are being so judgy! I'm just glad we have choices, in my last BMP group some women were back to work 48 hours after giving birth!
With my son, my husband took 2 months and I took 16 months and that worked out great. It was nice to all be together for the first 8 weeks or so! Maybe your partner could use the time to take the summer off with you?
