Trying to be better at posting the weekly/daily GTYKs. This is an old favourite - feel free to answer just one, or all of them if you're so inclined.

1) Win - What's a small (or big) win you've had this week?
2) Wine - What's your favorite drink to have/make when you've had a hard day (doesn't have to be wine)?
3) Whine - What trivial thing is bothering you this week?

1) Win- I can literally not think of one. I went and voted yesterday even though I didn’t feel like leaving the house, so I’ll count that.

2) Wine- Ive been sick so right now it’s camomile tea and black berry brandy. Soothes my throat and my headache!

3) Whine- I just got a text from work that they’re reinstating their mask mandate and I’m so bummed. I got the WORST mask-acne. I haven’t worn a mask since the mandate was dropped in early summer, and my face has cleared up so much. So I’m straight pissed at the prospect of looking like a damn teenager or meth addict again. Ugh.

1) Win - I finally feel like I'm not psychotic anymore, which is hopefully a good sign that my hormones are stabilizing post-IVF.
2) Wine - my drink of choice is prosecco usually.
3) I'm making every effort to buy local and support small businesses for xmas gifts this year but my inner cheapskate is really struggling with the prices on some things and it's making me feel very Scroogey, even though I'm glad to be giving my money to someone other than Amazon.

1) Win - became a manager as of this week.
2) Wine - it's definitely wine. Starting to transition into full-bodied reds & whites as the weather turns.
3) Whine - my ovaries are swollen. Waaaaaaaaa.

@paytonpedro Go you for voting. As a non-American, I don't understand how having elections every year is productive in the sense of getting ppl to vote. Don't you get some major vote fatigue?

@kiki047 x-posted. I hear you on buying local; it's something I struggle with too... and mostly fail. But part of the reason is that my family is notoriously difficult to buy for, so I really have to go searching for something specific and those are hard to find in local stores.

@acleverusername there are elections every year, but they're for different things. In my state, we have local elections (town-level like mayor/selectmen/town council, board of ed, etc.) in odd-numbered years. In even-numbered years, we have congressional and state-legislature elections. Even-numbered years may also have President (every 4 years), Senate (every 6 years), and/or governor (every 4 years but opposite president). Different states have different schedules for their governors and state houses, I think.

1) Win - I moved on to the content of my cross stitch this week after spending a million years stitching the frames

2) Wine - I don't drink, I eat more, so I'd say Ben and Jerrys Peanut Butter World ice cream (except for today because it's a Target Exclusive flavor and my store doesn't have it in stock today and I'm salty about it)

3) Whine - umm, see above about the ice cream lol. AND they didn't have my back-up favorite flavor in stock either! So I had to settle for third place! What kind of world is this?!
