Hi guys, I missed last week, but trying to be more present again.

    Weeks/EDD? 22w

Previous loss(es) (share as much or as little as you like)? MC April

How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically? Emotionally I’m a mess, but not from this pregnancy. Honestly, when it comes to the pregnancy I feel mostly guilt. I should be so happy to have this baby and most days lately I just pretend I’m not pregnant

Any appointment updates? I went on Monday, they were so good about everything and got me in and out in 10 minutes - I go back in three instead of four to get back on schedule

    Any big milestones?

  • @gembud i'm so sorry you're dealing with so much. Your son and this baby are lucky to have a mom that cares for them and loves them so much. I hope you're able to find some small ways to take care of yourself.

    Weeks/EDD? 19+4 3/20

Previous loss(es) (share as much or as little as you like)? 1 MMC in 12, 1 MMC and 1 CP in 20

How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically? physically i'm ok. Sleep is my biggest complaint, and i can't get the snoogle quiiiiite right, but i'm doing ok. Emotionally getting into anxious territory. Thought i was feeling baby pretty well early this week, but yesterday and this morning haven't noticed anything. I know that's "normal" and i have been busy and distracted, but it just ups my anxiety.

Any appointment updates? AS and  OB check on monday. really hopeful everything goes fine and i can relax for a while.

Any big milestones? nah, just chugging along at this point.

Rants/Raves/Questions? rant+rave. rant at the supply chain issues (rant into thin air as it's not really anyone's fault) but rave for me because I'm almost done with DD's birthday (dec) and Christmas shopping! Need to work on the rest of the folks, but she's the most important :)
  • @gembud
    Thinking of you.

    @morgantu
    Ahhh! Not Christmas shopping! Lol
I’m like halfway, would have probably been closer to done but we just had a big car repair come up so we’re treading lightly for a bit… kudos on getting yours nearly done though!

    Weeks/EDD? 21 weeks +1 day/ due March 9

Previous loss(es) (share as much or as little as you like)? PPROM resulting in stillbirth, long and drawn out back in 2019.

How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically? Still so much insomnia most of the time and I’m worried the antibiotic the OB wants me on for the duration of my pregnancy is already messing up my bowels (TMI) just two doses in…
Emotionally still pretty shaky and anxious, just taking one day at a time.

Any appointment updates? 11/3 at MFM for Cervical length scan, 11/10 regular OB

    Any big milestones? Not sure.

Rants/Raves/Questions? Anyone ever been on cefaclor while pregnant? That’s the one they want me on every night until delivery. I’m trying to make the best of it, but unfortunately it’s triggering me.
Not sure if talking BMs is too far, so forgive me, but I have IBS and antibiotics like that tend to make things get progressively er… looser with lots of painful gas. I was on a similar antibiotic in the hospital when my loss was completed.
Along with my water being broken for an extended period, they’d had to surgically break my hymen because I had managed to become pregnant with it intact.
Thus the antibiotics were to prevent/ ward off infection in both cases.
However, I had horrible diarrhea and cramping and I had begged them for some meds to help things, because they gave me something the night before.
It was a different group on shift though and before I knew what was happening they shoved a metal speculum up inside to check me, which was excruciating because I was recovering from my hymen surgery.
I’d been having contractions nightly, but this made them get more painful and regular and ultimately led to the stillbirth.
I don’t know if things would have been different without the exam or if I’d just dealt with the diarrhea on top of everything, but as dumb as it sounds already feeling some upset in that direction after two doses just makes me feel anxious. :/
  • @gembud Do not feel guilty! Loving A so much and taking care of him so well shows what an amazing mom you are! Luckily when they're inside babies don't really need us much. Focus on A! This little guy will be just fine, and when he's here and you see how much they love each other it will be so obvious that the best way to take care of one is by taking care of the other ❤ You got this mama!!!!

@morgantu I was literally crying to my doctor about feeling movement on Monday. I was feeling it pretty consistently, and then nothing for like 3 days. She reminded me how small baby is still and how much room there is to move around in there...and also reminded me that even at like 23, 24, 25 weeks it will be the same and that consistent movement won't happen until after like 32 weeks. Which I rationally we know, but I was still like *yeah...but I'm not feeling anything today...* 🤣 And I hear you on supply chain issues! I did all my Christmas shopping in September (we have St.Nicholas the first weekend of December and then regular Christmas and New Year's end of December, and the Ukrainian Christmas beginning of January, Ukrainian New Year's mid January, and then DD1's birthday end of January...so everything at once) and I still haven't received a lot of it. I'm hoping it gets here by the end of November though. I'm worried when DD1 picks her bday gift (which we won't do until all the Christmas and New Year's celebrations are done) that it won't arrive in time...

    Weeks/EDD? 19+3 / March 21

Previous loss(es) (share as much or as little as you like)? MMC 2017, MMC 2018, CP 2020, MC 2021

How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically? Physically still sick, although slightly better. I just have zero appetite now and no desire to eat anything. There is some work drama going on with my sister and some health issues with my oldest niece that have me super stressed out. Plus my knee is terrible and I can barely walk...which is fun. Emotionally still super stressed and anxious...I don't think that will go away ever...but I'm starting to feel more connected to this little boy. I need him to stay strong in there and come home with us as planned in March.

Any appointment updates? AS on the 3rd, OB 17th, GP 29th etc...

Any big milestones? Nope...just holding my breath for the anatomy scan next week...I need that to go well...

Rants/Raves/Questions? My cousin told us she is expecting a boy at the end of February (it's her first and she is like 11 years younger than me) so my mom told her that I'm pregnant too...and then decided to tell the whole family since she told my cousin...which I'm fine with. She did ask me first. I figure at this point if something were to happen I would prefer people knew...
  • @faithmovesmountains isn't adulthood something? we just sprung a leak in our roof and i'm thinking the repairs will be "christmas gifts" for hubby and me  :#
@Panaceia Thanks for the reassurance. Your dr is right, i know.... but still! (i know you get it). If everything goes well on monday I'll probably have like 10 days-2 weeks of optimism until i start to get antsy again.
  • I also just drank a pumpkin pie chai (i am obsessed with these from the coffee cart at work) and the baby is definitely awake now haha....That is now going to justify drinking one every day lol
  • @gembud thinking of you ❤️ Holding space for all the feelings you need to share. I think everything you have shared is 100% valid. You’re in survival mode, allow yourself to feel what you are without judgment. A and this new baby are lucky to have you, you’re the exact mom they need.

@morgantu when I need reassurance from baby I drink some ice cold water or caffeine to elicit a reaction. I say you prescribe yourself one pumpkin spice chai every day (even after movement is more consistent haha).

@faithmovesmountains I’m sorry you’ve ended up on antibiotics this time and have the past trauma to complicate it all. Have you talked to your doctor about ways to manage the increased IBS symptoms while taking it? Like probiotics or diet changes? You shouldn’t have to suffer through, and totally understand the hesitation in bringing it up given what happened last time.

@Panaceia what is up with all the orthopedic aches and pains. I feel you in that dept. My SI joint on the right side has been jacked since first tri 😭
  • Weeks/EDD? 21 weeks, March 10th

Previous loss(es) (share as much or as little as you like)? MC in April

How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically? Having more days of feeling depressed than not. Fighting hard to stay positive and doing something every day that I enjoy. Not interested in upping my SSRI dose while pregnant but going to try incorporating red light therapy daily. Lots of good info suggesting it is as effective as medication, especially in colder months.

Any appointment updates? Nothing until mid November.

    Any big milestones?

Rants/Raves/Questions? AS finally resulted but of course the official read wasn’t posted to my patient portal, just a note it had been read. Called again today and the advice nurse sent a message to one of the OB doctors. Maybe i’ll get a message tomorrow.
  • @night_nurse I'm sorry you are feeling this way and I hope you find the red light makes a difference. Also hoping you FINALLY get a call tomorrow about your scan. I'm sure everything is perfect 🥰
  • @night_nurse
May talk to doctor soon, I know in the past they were kind of ‘meh’ on probiotics, one doc even saying they don’t do much.
Still, I’d be willing to try.

I hope you get your AS results soon!
