Any big milestones?
Any big milestones? nah, just chugging along at this point.
Thinking of you.
@morgantu
Ahhh! Not Christmas shopping! Lol
I’m like halfway, would have probably been closer to done but we just had a big car repair come up so we’re treading lightly for a bit… kudos on getting yours nearly done though!
Emotionally still pretty shaky and anxious, just taking one day at a time.
Any big milestones? Not sure.
Not sure if talking BMs is too far, so forgive me, but I have IBS and antibiotics like that tend to make things get progressively er… looser with lots of painful gas. I was on a similar antibiotic in the hospital when my loss was completed.
Along with my water being broken for an extended period, they’d had to surgically break my hymen because I had managed to become pregnant with it intact.
Thus the antibiotics were to prevent/ ward off infection in both cases.
However, I had horrible diarrhea and cramping and I had begged them for some meds to help things, because they gave me something the night before.
It was a different group on shift though and before I knew what was happening they shoved a metal speculum up inside to check me, which was excruciating because I was recovering from my hymen surgery.
I’d been having contractions nightly, but this made them get more painful and regular and ultimately led to the stillbirth.
I don’t know if things would have been different without the exam or if I’d just dealt with the diarrhea on top of everything, but as dumb as it sounds already feeling some upset in that direction after two doses just makes me feel anxious.
@morgantu I was literally crying to my doctor about feeling movement on Monday. I was feeling it pretty consistently, and then nothing for like 3 days. She reminded me how small baby is still and how much room there is to move around in there...and also reminded me that even at like 23, 24, 25 weeks it will be the same and that consistent movement won't happen until after like 32 weeks. Which I rationally we know, but I was still like *yeah...but I'm not feeling anything today...* 🤣 And I hear you on supply chain issues! I did all my Christmas shopping in September (we have St.Nicholas the first weekend of December and then regular Christmas and New Year's end of December, and the Ukrainian Christmas beginning of January, Ukrainian New Year's mid January, and then DD1's birthday end of January...so everything at once) and I still haven't received a lot of it. I'm hoping it gets here by the end of November though. I'm worried when DD1 picks her bday gift (which we won't do until all the Christmas and New Year's celebrations are done) that it won't arrive in time...
Any big milestones? Nope...just holding my breath for the anatomy scan next week...I need that to go well...
@Panaceia Thanks for the reassurance. Your dr is right, i know.... but still! (i know you get it). If everything goes well on monday I'll probably have like 10 days-2 weeks of optimism until i start to get antsy again.
@morgantu when I need reassurance from baby I drink some ice cold water or caffeine to elicit a reaction. I say you prescribe yourself one pumpkin spice chai every day (even after movement is more consistent haha).
@faithmovesmountains I’m sorry you’ve ended up on antibiotics this time and have the past trauma to complicate it all. Have you talked to your doctor about ways to manage the increased IBS symptoms while taking it? Like probiotics or diet changes? You shouldn’t have to suffer through, and totally understand the hesitation in bringing it up given what happened last time.
@Panaceia what is up with all the orthopedic aches and pains. I feel you in that dept. My SI joint on the right side has been jacked since first tri 😭
Any big milestones?
May talk to doctor soon, I know in the past they were kind of ‘meh’ on probiotics, one doc even saying they don’t do much.
Still, I’d be willing to try.
I hope you get your AS results soon!
