Old wives tales and gender

Who all has found out gender and the old wives tale regarding cravings has held true? It’s said if you’re having a girl you’ll craving mostly sweets and salty/spicy for a boy. 

It held true for me. Granted, I still crave spicy but mostly sweets..... especially at bed time.

    Not me. I had almost every indication it was a boy - craving salty foods, had glowing skin and hair, wasn't that sick (was just queasy for about 5 weeks in the first trimester), and it's a girl! Ironically, the only thing that was true was the ring test over the belly.

    The wives tales were about 50/50 for me.  I was convinced it was a boy again, but I was wrong! I guess the only main difference between this pregnancy and my last is that my face is broken out and my hair seems super dry, so I guess that one was correct

    I definitely crave salty more and am having a boy!  My sis in law did the ring test also and it predicted girl (but it was super early in the pregnancy).

    I’m having a girl, I normally have a sweet tooth but up until the last week or so I’ve had a pretty strong aversion to sweets. That said, I’ve felt pretty horrible except for the last couple weeks and skin has been significantly worse than normal. With my first pregnancy with a boy it was a breeze. Skin was glowing and no real food aversions.

    I honestly had no idea what the old wives' tales are for each gender. No clue. All I know is that I eat a TON of fruit every time I've been pregnant, and I've had two boys and this one's a girl, so I guess based on the sweet/salty thing, I crave sweet all the time?

    I didn’t know the old wives tales on cravings. With my daughter I craved mostly salad or cupcakes, but this time it’s a boy and I’ve definitely been craving salty stuff, which is strange since normally I’m just all about the sweets, but also craving all the chocolate. I had WAY more nausea this time, though so 🤷🏻‍♀️

    I'm having a girl and have been craving fruit salad, sugar donuts, and root beer. Typically I like sour and salty foods. So I guess the old wives tale fits!
