@kgg2241 I love stalking the new boards! I’m rooting for folks in TTGP (although I wasn’t active) and it just helps me believe this pregnancy is progressing. Yay babies!
A couple months PP with my son I was diagnosed with stage 1 melanoma. I noticed the rogue freckle looking darker during pregnancy and that’s what prompted the derm visit. It was successfully removed from my forehead with surgery and minimal scarring. Normally they’d see me every 6 months for skin checks but since there MAY have been a pregnancy component last time (hormones may cause skin cancer changes) I go in every 3 months while pregnant and BF. That visit is today. I’m not worried really, I haven’t noticed anything weird. But it still makes me anxious. That diagnosis was so scary with a 3 month old at home and I think I kinda block out that experience until each check.
@rachelredhead thinking of you today! I am sure that had to be a very traumatic experience to have postpartum when emotions are already out of sync. Also, good job being proactive and going in for checks.
just chugged a whole bottle of orange juice and it tasted sooooo good. Any now i have a stomach ache. Welp. Also, i think all of my posts are about food/drink. Which tracks for me in general.
@morgantu@rachelredhead Orange juice is what gets me through pregnancy! I think it is all in my head but I'm convinced it is what keeps my nausea away each morning 🤣.
Maybe someone will know what I'm talking about. When I was pregnant with and nursing DD, I used an app on my phone related to medications. One of the universities in Texas ran a program to analyze the safety of medications during pregnancy and for nursing moms. Otc and prescription medications were all rated. Now, I can't remember what it was called! Anyone know about this app?
@Panaceia I have used that, but not it. This one was exclusively medication related. I believe they even ran a call center to be able to ask questions.
My first big trip out of the house in many weeks for something other than a doctors appointment was to Costco for soft serve, which I had been craving for days. I sat in the car while my husband went in, but I still call it progress to be somewhere other than in bed. It was soooo good! @morgantu I also had a stomach ache after I ate it 🤦♀️
I dunno about anyone else, but the pregnancy dreams are insane, detailed and exhausting...
Last night, I had a dream that I went into labour, and had my baby. But then there were suddenly 4 of them. And no one wanted to help in any way, because the one thing someone "helped" with, was to start feeding my 3 hour old baby, rolled up ham, and turkey and peas. I got upset and cried, and everyone said "if you don't like how we are helping, you can just do it all alone!" 😅
@goldfishcraker yep! They really are so weird and i remember them sooo much better than non preg dreams. I remember a specific one with DD1 where i just put her in a folder on the counter and left about my day. I had a similar one last week about this baby where i just go about my day and then ask if anyone has fed the baby or knows where the baby is like 6 hours later. They always really freak me out.
@goldfishcraker I get INTENSE sex dreams when I'm pregnant. Wasn't so bad for my 1st pregnancy, but no partner for this one, so the frustration makes them worse....😅
I was on pelvic rest all of last pregnancy, and have been all of this one so far too. So far, this one has been less bad for me...only 2 or 3 sex dreams. But my poor husband 😅
I went though my bin of maternity clothes and realized everything is for summer, or it is a size too small. So I went shopping! Except stores don't actually carry maternity in the store anymore. I guess it is time to order online in multiple sizes, try on, and then make lots of returns. What a waste of time! But I did have a mall pretzel, so that's a win!
