Re: Covid
Pregnant women have been getting the vaccine for over 9 months now and they haven’t seen any increased risk of miscarriage or complications.
I’m only posting these because you said you were still unsure. I have nothing but total confidence in the vaccine, and I really hope that you’ll reconsider. It’s just getting so bad with Delta. I know it’s kind of a scary decision, but tens of millions of people have gotten it and the documented issues with it are so unbelievably few and far between.
Exactly. What worries me the most (other than my young kids getting covid) is the impact on hospitals. The vast majority of covid patients in hospitals are unvaccinated. That just doesn't affect those people. It affects the people that need a hospital bed for other reasons, yet can't because people with entirely preventable sickness are using them. My mom has MS, and is extremely susceptible to pneumonia and UTIs. She could literally need to go to the hospital tomorrow, you just don't know when it might hit. If my mom is ever denied space at a hospital because of someone's poor decision, when her need for medical care is ENTIRELY up to chance and out of her control, I will become borderline homicidal.
I am by no means anti-vax. I'm up to date on all approved vaccines and so is my one year old daughter.
Also, I did consider a tattoo once and decided against it due to the unregulated inks.
What else should I say? I am human too. Thanks to those that spoke up on the other side.
Sigh. I've struggled with this for the whole year. And with everyone in my life poking me about it.. I'm getting tired.
I hope that makes sense. 💕
I'm curious how many people out there really are ill-intentioned about not getting the vaccine.
Plus, I thought the ICU beds (at least by me in WA) are full of all other sorts of illnesses.. not covid. Hospital capacity is definitely a concern, and is impacted hugely by how the hospital is run & the season.

We have been consistent with vaccines--we hosted Christmas when DS was 5 months everyone was required to have a flu shot. And my parents and cousin (who would be spending the most time around our son) were requested to get the tDap. We currently don't let >12 year olds into our home unless vaccinated.
