Trying to Get Pregnant

    Month / Cycle: 2/2

    CD: 10

    WAYDTGKU: opks, temping

R/R: just feeling very surprised by the data that I'm seeing (more below)

CS/Q: Got peak today on CBAD after only 1 day of high, and just so surprised that it's so early (my cycles used to be much longer, ~40 days); however, i'm also seeing that my test line is about equal to control on my cheapies; glad that I'm temping this month!

  • Loading the player...
  • @agesandstages that is surprisingly early! Maybe you will have several high days? I hope tomorrow brings more clarity!

    Month/Cycle: 4/4

    CD: 7

WAYDTGKU: pnv, opk, rhr, kindara, nac, maca

R/R:  I decided to keep going with the maca despite the AF irregularities, and today it is finally tapering off. So weird but makes me think I should schedule my pap and check my hormones out  with CD3 and 7dpo blood draws

    CS/Q:

  • @agesandstages I love being able to see changes and the effects of things in concrete data. It makes it a little easier to know if changes/things are or aren't different based on historical data.

@mamanbebe glad it's finally tapering off for you! It's so frustrating when things aren't the way they should be.

    Month/Cycle: 10/10

    CD: 1

WAYDTGKU: bbt, cm, opks, cinnamon, metformin for me, vit e and c for him

R/R: period came today, no surprise given two days ogf temp plummeting. kind of bummed out because we're now officially into the double digits of cycles TTC. I got a shirt at the Green Day concert last week that has a hot dog giving the middle finger, and I've decided it's my CD1 shirt because that's how I feel. For now I'm going to chase the splitting headache and cramps with excedrin and caffeine, and make the multiple phone calls I need to make today for various things.

    CS/Q: not yet

  • @fantasyflyte Im so sorry about AF and I agree that bird flipping dog sounds about right. I hope the headache and cramps take a hike soon!

    @agesandstages Yay for shorter cycles!

@fantasyflyte ugh hope your headache feels better soon.

Month/Cycle: 8?? Idk what to put here but  3 AL, and officially off the bench!

    CD: 3

    WAYDTGKU: BBT, cm, opk

R/R: welp vacation is ending a little bit early...supposed to check out tomorrow morning but leaving tonight instead. Overall it was a fun trip, minus the hiccup at the end...

    Spoiler because gross
Woke up this morning to realize the bed at our air bnb has bed bugs. I feel so unclean 🤢  so now most of our stuff is "quarantined" in plastic bags and destined for a hot bake in the sun or a trip in the washer/dryer. But I'm so worried we're still going to bring some back  😩 since I had already committed tomorrow as a vacation day, DH and I are going to try to fit in a day date in-between all the de-quarantining of our belongings. Ugh.

    CS/Q: nope

    *lurking from testing purgatory*
@pajamstagrams dude bedbugs are the GROSSEST. I stayed at a hotel one time in Mumbai and woke up to find them crawling all over me. I spent the rest of the night sitting on a metal chair in the middle of the cement floor with my luggage also in the middle of the floor next to me, and I was in tears by the time the sun rose. The Nastiest.
The best bet for killing them may be a combination of freezing and hot wash/hot dry. If you have space for it in a freezer (especially one of those trunk-style freezers) pop those sealed bags of laundry in your freezer for a few days before washing them.  Also go through all your luggage with your vacuum using the super skinny nose attachment and go through all the edges, folds, etc. vacuum any shoes you can't wash, etc. I have a friend who used to work for a government agency that counsels people on dealing with pest infestations, etc., and this is the advice she gave me!
eta: oh, and do all that vacuuming somewhere outdoors at a distance from your house, if you can.
    History
I am doing this on my own. Left ovary and fallopian tube removed due to cyst/necrosis just after birth. Right ovary and tube still purport to function.
Began TTC in Aug '18 @ age 35
5 or 6 (or 7?!) cycles using frozen donor sperm, ICI. All BFN
    Mar-Jun '19 IUIs, all BFN
Began process of referral for RE in spring of '19, blood tests confirm low AMH (.54) but all else is good.
May '19 HSG shows open tube, but ultrasound suggests fibroids
MRI in June '19 confirms two large fibroids, one growing through wall of uterus
In June '19 I move from California to Oregon, disrupting my insurance, referrals, etc. 5 months spent piecing it all back together.
Nov. '19 attempted myomectomy (vaginal approach) failed. 2nd surgery using laparoscopic method in Jan '20 is successful.
April '20 --> June '20, natural IUIs, all BFN.
July? saline ultrasound and bubble test demonstrate open tube
July '20 clomid cycle cancelled for thin lining
Aug-Oct, 3 femara cycles, all BFN
RE referral. While waiting to set up an appointment Nov-Jan,I continue with natural cycles and ICI, using a known donor, BFN...
Jan '21 more bloodwork, AMH is worse (.30), FSH high albeit not catastrophic at 13.2. hysteroscopy all good. "looks cozy!" says the RE.
Feb '21, injectables (menopur, novarel), iui, BFN (doc said the frozen donor sperm sample had the "best numbers she'd ever seen!")
Mar '21, injectables, iui cancelled due to lack of follicles, converted to at home-insem. BFN
May '21, first IVF round cancelled due to cyst.
July '21 IVF: standard antagonist. 225menupur/225gonal-f/cetrotide/5000u trigger, AFC 7; 6 days of stims. 8 eggs retrieved, 7 mature, 5 fertilize, 4 made it to blast. 3 are 4AB, 1 is 4BB. PGT-A results all abnormal.
Oct '21 somewhat improved AMH (.51) and significantly improved FSH (8.9). Maybe it's all the pills I swallow.
    Dec -21, standard antagonist. 225menupur/225gonal-f/cetrotide/5000u trigger, AFC 5; 11 days of stims. retrieval yields 5, 4M, 2 reach day-6 blast (4AB & 4BB). 1 low-level mosaic (chr. 3 deletion), 1 complex abnormal.
Feb '22 FET (low-level mosaic): CP.
May '22 egg retrieval, lupron flare protocol. HGH priming for 1 month before stims; md lupron 20/20u daily; menopur 225, follistim 225, 10k trigger after 8 days of stims; AFC 10; 13 retrieved; 10 mature; 8 fertilized. All frozen at 2PN for later thaw, grow, and biopsy.
July '22 egg retrieval same protocol: 9 days of stims; AFC 8; 10 retrieved, 8 mature, 4 fertilized and frozen.
Sept '22 ER same protocol: AFC 10; 12 retrieved, 11 mature, 11 fertilized.
From the 3 retrievals, 7 survived to day 5-6 blastocyst, from which I have 2 normal embryos!
Jan 20, Fully medicated FET, baby aspirin, dexamethasone, acupuncture, and as much woo as I can stand (which isn't very much). BFN.
July 23, Natural FET + baby aspirin. BFN.
  • @optimistgardener omg that sounds horrific and extremely traumatic. I'm so sorry you went through that! This wasn't near as bad (I just woke up and saw one crawling on the bed near me, that's the only way we knew) but I just feel so violated that I didn't know they were there for 3 days! So far we've only brought in groceries and toiletries that weren't in the bedroom (no hitch hikers to be seen), since we didn't see any evidence in any of the rooms downstairs, including the other bedrooms, hopefully we didn't screw ourselves over😬 all of our clothes and suitcases are still quarantined in the garage for now. We stripped down when we got home and all those traveling clothes went straight to a garbage bag and in to the washer, where I'm sure the extra hot water I used is going to cause the dye on the beach towels to run like crazy, so maybe my tan bra is going to get some excitement 😂 I've already (mostly) accepted the fact that I will most likely permanently ruin most of my clothes by washing/drying on hot, so maybe I'll treat myself to a shopping spree.
  • @pajamstagrams i feel you on the sense of violation. Did you get any bites? They raise nasty quarter-sized welts on me, eughgggh. Good luck with the laundry situation! Hopefully any colorful amendments from dye-run will prove interesting and not fatal to your wardrobe. The hot dryer cycle is supposed to be even more important than the hot wash.

  • @optimistgardener nope, no one has any bites to speak of! Which is crazy because i reactly extremely strongly to mosquitoes, sand fleas etc. But I don't have any bites noticable or any itchy patches. Maybe my dog got bit instead of us 🤷‍♀️
  • @pajamstagrams it turns out a lot of people aren't reactive to them!
