WAYDTGKU: Letrozole & TI, PNV, OPKs

R/R: This weekend was really nice! I had a blast with my coworkers on Saturday and we got to relax a bit on Sunday. DH put in our window AC units to help us survive until we get central air in a couple weeks. Now I just have to survive these last 2 weeks of school in buildings that aren’t air conditioned (except for a few rooms like the auditorium) despite it being 90 degrees outside.

R/R: My family has a cabin and property and my grandma always had a huge garden there. I took it over last year and it was so hard because of deer/wildlife and weeds and only going there on the weekends. This year we replaced the entire surround and brought in new dirt etc. a total face lift. I got to check on it and only lost a couple plants but have so many more coming up. Gardening is so exciting to me! Lol.
    CS/Q:

@gingermama29 where I went to school didn’t have ac and I totally feel for you! Hopefully these last 2 weeks go by quickly for you!!
  • awelloawello member
@gingermama29 I take it the school is older if the buildings aren't air conditioned? But yay that you got window AC units (for now) in your home to help you not melt. It's been close to 90 degrees here, but it's been cloudy the last few days (thankfully).

    Month/Cycle: 2/2

    CD: 18

    WAYDTGKU: BBT, PNV

R/R: I have my ultrasound this morning on my uterus to check for fibroids or any other growths or abnormalities. Surprisingly not as nervous as I thought I would be, but still praying they don't find anything wrong.

CS/Q: I *think* I ovulated, had a temperature spike this morning, but waiting a few days for FF to confirm it. I had a spike on CD 14 that got my hopes up, but my temp had dropped back down.

  • Month/Cycle: 4/4

    CD: 11

WAYDTGKU: BBT, OPKs, PNV + vitamin C

R/R: It's the last week of school before summer break! In-person classes finished last week, so this week should be fairly lowkey and a great transition into summer.

CS/Q: Nothing here. I haven't been ovulating until CD 21-24 so still got a ways to go.

@gingermama29 I have been there on the non-ACed school front! It's the worst. Hope the last few weeks aren't too unbearable!
  • @gingermama29 yay good weekend! I remember being in school with no ac. Our library was the only room that had it. I was in the library most of the time anyway, but that gave me extra motivation to hang out there.
@paytonpedro that sounds great with the garden! We have veggies that need to go in the ground but it's 90 and I don't wanna.
@awello fingers crossed on the ultrasound for you! I wonder if they can tell you if you've ovulated since they'll be looking in the area anyway.
@trails15 woo almost break! And I feel you on the "late" Os, I usually ovulate between CD25-30, so I'm excited for a potential CD23 this time. :joy:

    Month/Cycle: 8/7
    CD: 25
WAYDTGKU: bbt, cm, opks, cinnamon supplements
R/R: Another hoooot day today. Probably going to spend it doing cross stitch and homework.
CS/Q: I'm 95% sure I ovulated on Saturday, which gives us good timing. Still having EWCM is throwing me off a little, because I've never had this much good EWCM for this long, but we'll see.

  • @fantasyflyte I love that you do cross stitch! I sew a little bit (clothes/ simple blankets) but I've been wanting to get into needle work too.

@trails15 Hello! Welcome! I am forgetting from your intro - are you a teacher/staff or student? Either way, yay! You made it through what was probably a very challenging year. Enjoy your last week!

@awello FX you ultrasound goes well and there are no surprises!

@paytonpedro Wow, that sounds fun and rewarding! Gardening is exiting for me too.

@gingermama29 I'm glad your weekend was nice! I hope the next two weeks fly by for you.

    Month/Cycle: 5/4
    CD: 12
    WAYDTGKU: Mira, letrozole
R/R: I can't believe it is already Monday. The weekend was not long enough. My allergies are horrible this morning and I really want to take a Claritin D, but I'm resisting. Rave is that I should have a slow work week, so I should be able to catch up and be fairly stress free.
    CS/Q: Not yet.
  • @gingermama29 Exciting about the central air! Hope you're able to stay cool in the school building.. I am super lucky to work in a new school with AC.

@paytonpedro that's exciting! My husband is super into gardening but it's just not my thing. I am in awe of anything who has the patience and skill to grow food!

@awello FX they don't find anything wrong at your appointment. Keep us updated!

@trails15 congrats on finishing the longest year ever! I've still got 2 weeks to go.

@fantasyflyte soooooo hot! FX you O'ed bc that timing does look good!

    Month/Cycle: 13/12

    WAYDTGKU: CBAD, PNV, charting

R/R: Realllllly struggling these last 2 weeks of work. I thought that it wouldn't be so bad since I know that I'm not going back next year, but that's not what's been happening haha. I was in such a work avoidance mode this weekend that I re-read the first and second Harry Potter books which I haven't done since high school. Now I've got a pile of work but still no motivation to do it.

Thanks for the well wishes, everyone! Ultrasound went well, the only thing they found out was that I have some condition called adenomyosis, in which cells build up in the uterine wall abnormally. Not sure if anyone else here has it? Apparently it doesn't affect TTGP. Also, she noted that I ovulated from both ovaries this cycle, so yay.
  • b_1029b_1029 member
@awello this sounds so familiar, I think one of the Ttgp grads had this. @inthewoods23 @kiki047 @keikilove do you remember by chance? I think it was someone in the IF thread?
  • @b_1029 I've been here too long to remember :D It very likely would be someone in the IF thread as I've seen it referenced when talking about immunology issues.

  • @gingermama29 🥵🥵 good luck!!

@paytonpedro come to my house and garden for me 😂

@awello that's a good temp spike! Was the previous one at a later time or after alcohol?

    @trails15 happy almost summer break!

@fantasyflyte I always have EWCM after O, usually 1-2 days, but sometimes 3. Makes pinpointing O a bit more difficult if my temps are wonky! FF will give you dotted CH if you go to 3 days after, just FYI.

@fameonmain2 how did you stop at book 2?? I would have been compelled to reread them all 😂

    Month/Cycle: 0 AL
    CD: 19
    WAYDTGKU: BBT/cm, opks until I re-regulate
R/R: getting some vacation plans booked for the summer and it feels good! Going to have a fun beach week with family. Taking advantage of my benched status and doing all the vacations when we don't have to worry about timing, not drinking, etc.
CS/Q: I think I may have ovulated in the last couple of days, could be CD 17 or 18, only because today's temp was a "normal" 1-2 day post ovulation temp  Like 60% sure. Of course I slept in yesterday (1 hr later) and had a high temp, and in general have slept poorly all weekend because I have a cold, so who knows 🤷‍♀️

The opks I took were all really low and looks about the same, so I don't think anything is moving in either direction.

  • awelloawello member
@pajamstagrams the previous one was because I was moving around a lot, I think. I didn’t sleep very well. It was taken at regular time, no alcohol.
  • Month/Cycle: 3/3

    CD: 14

    WAYDTGKU: OPKs, vitamins

R/R: Sorry I have been MIA lately! I was out of town at a memorial and have never been good at mobile bumping. I also managed to forget my OPKs at home (brilliant) so this cycle will be a bit of a mystery. I’ll probably hang out here another day or two and then just hope I O’d and scoot over to TWW. Glad to be back with you all and hope it’s a great Monday!

    CS/Q: Nope

  • @gingermama29 Yikes, good luck staying cool at school!

@paytonpedro Awesome job on your garden!

@awello Glad you got ovulation confirmation!

@trails15 Yay for the last week of school!

@fantasyflyte I am always amazed at how many body anomalies I find when I am actually paying attention. Always makes trying to find a pattern fun.

@kgg2241Hope it’s an easy week for you!

@fameonmain2 Hope you find a little motivation (or something else to distract you, haha)

@pajamstagrams Ooh, what beach are you heading to?

  • @abjm0325 haha I keep my location pretty vague, but it's within driving distance of where I live 😉 it's not the best, but it's still a beach!

@awello yeah that might do it. Poor sleep will get you!
  • @kgg2241 oof, allergies are so rough right now.

@pajamstagrams haha, I ran out of time! I'll be reading at night before bed I'm sure :) Love the vacation planning! I am jealous.

@abjm0325 maybe forgetting the OPKs will be a good sign for your cycle? I'm usually less stressed when I'm not worrying about the OPKs.
  • @b_1029 I'm pretty sure @emmasemm has adenomyosis, and from a quick search also @jrm_14 (who I don't think is active anymore). From what I know about it from my RI group and other general research, it absolutely can and does affect fertility. That is what Gabrielle Union has and credited for her inability to get/stay PG.

@kiki047 I'll have to research it more. I had never even heard of it before being diagnosed with it today. It not affecting fertility was just what my doctor said when I asked her.

  • keikilovekeikilove member
    edited June 2021
@awello Ditto to what @kiki047 said. Two doctors think I have it but no way to be certain in my case without invasive surgery, which we are not doing. It’s basically endometriosis inside the uterine lining instead of outside the uterus. There is no treatment for adeno except to eat anti-inflammatory foods and take anti-inflammatories for pain. treatment for adenomyosis is sometimes treated the same as treatment for endometritis/or endometriosis: 2-3 months of Lupron Depot and/or several months of doxycycline. The Lupron Depot puts you into a state of menopause, I believe, so women like me with diminished ovarian reserve are cautioned against that because it could oversuppress to the point where we don’t produce eggs anymore. If you have tons of eggs left/good AMH level then you may be OK to try that Lupron Depot treatment. Or try the antibiotic route and see if you respond well to that. But most people will say that there’s no treatment for adeno and you have to just take good care of your body and hope for the best.
  • @fantasyflyte super amateur question but are cross stitch and embroidery the same thing? Just like all X’s? I’ve recently started doing some hand embroidery but am like super beginner. It’s definitely calming. I’ve just been Pinteresting everything lol.

@kgg2241 curious why you can’t take Claritin? Is it the “D” part? I take Claritin almost daily, especially in the spring and fall. 😬 Am I missing something? Should I not be? I hope your allergies ease up for you soon!!

@fameonmain2 my husband usually doesn’t have the patience for gardening either but this year really helped out and got his hands dirty. It was nice that we could do it together.
Sounds like you’re almost to the finish line! I hope these last two weeks can start going by quicker and nice and smooth for you!

@pajamstagrams as long as it’s a veggie garden I’m there! Something about all your hard work coming to fruition is so rewarding for me. Now flowers on the other hand are just meh.
A beach vaca sounds so nice right now! My BIL lives in key west and wants us to come visit but we already made plans for all MH’s vacations this year. And I’m weary to book something for next year if I’m KU. What a good plan to take advantage of the time you have now!

  • @fantasyflyte oh I totally would get excited for that early O!

@kgg2241 school-based staff! Although I think after this year everyone involved in education is uniformly and equally excited for summer break :)

@fameonmain2 I know how hard it is when everyone else is wrapping up school and you're still going, so hoping these last two weeks go quickly for you!!

  • @paytonpedro yeah, I just worry the D part will dry up my CM. I might be crazy but that's what TTGP does to ya 😅.
  • Ooof sorry for posting and ghosting today.

@paytonpedro gardening is so satisfying! I have really gotten into it this year.

@awello no it’s not really an old building. It’s just not common for schools to be air conditioned in NY for some reason. Glad what you have shouldn’t affect ttgp.

@trails15 I’m jealous that you’re on your last week!

@fantasyflyte oh fun! I also do cross stitching. What’s your current project?

@kgg2241 ugh allergies are the worst! Mine have been flaring up terribly lately. Hope you get some relief soon!

@fameonmain2 I’m super jealous that your school is air conditioned! And I feel you so much on struggling with these final 2 weeks. So ready for this insane school year to be done.

@pajamstagrams your beach vacation plans sound amazing!

@abjm0325 mobile bumping can definitely be a pain, though I’m pretty much an exclusive mobile bumper.
  • @paytonpedro sort of, cross stitching is a kind of embroidery, but not all embroidery is cross stitch. There's a lot of other embroidery stitches out there as well.

@gingermama29 I just finished a pretty peonies project (photo in spoiler) and right now I'm working on a family tree for my MIL. She's into genealogy and I found a cross stitch chart of birth month flowers, so I've drafted up a pattern with the flowers and everyone's name in it, hoping to finish it for her birthday.

  • awelloawello member
@emmasemm thank you so much for your reply! I've been trying to read up on adeno, but we're super early in TTGP (only 2 cycles in), so I have my fingers crossed. I will definitely DM you if I have any questions. Thank you again!
