Chart Stalk and Questions May 2021

Re: Chart Stalk and Questions May 2021

  • @babyodo  That's really cool that you have noticed such a consistent pattern for yourself!  Like you said tho, bodies are different, and the specific temps are semi arbitrary.  They can depend on different things to a person, or the same person for the same cycle may get different readings with different thermometers, too.  So less critical than following any set pattern of specific temps, is that the overall biphasic temp shift is happening. I know that personally my temps are not so specifically consistent from chart to chart, but that doesn't mean I'm not ovulating.  What I have seen, is that my pre-O dip is usually right there at or around 96.9, or as low as 96.8, but for sure 97.0 or lower.  But that doesn't mean that the a dip to the same temperature is necessarily indicative of ovulation on another person's chart.  As an example.

  • @kgg2241 thank you I appreciate it my ovaries are just trouble makers 😫

@fameonmain2 so I’ve not had any cycles for about 4.5 years and my periods returned some what regularly within 3-4 days apart 3 months ago. Prior to that my periods were somewhat irregular but I still had them every month they could maybe be up to 6 days off.

@BusinessWife so they were solid CH until today. I agree with your analysis and that’s worded better than I could do it. I mean if I’m actually ovulating today or tomorrow that could be just fine. I’m just worried about it not happening which no One can really control. However I’m glad I caught my temp this morning! I know I’m going to need to be patient all the waiting it so hard though. Looking like I’m back to the BD.

@babyodo yes I’ve been concerned about my post O temps the last week and a half. I’m really thinking I didn’t O once I have more months to compare I’m hoping this gets easier

Aaaaannd I just realized I switched OPKS yesterday was the 1.38 today earlier was the 1.08 and now it’s negative at 0.6 but potential was diluted. Thought I’d update for accuracy sake
  • @daisy0322 no advice or thoughts here, just sending a creepy internet hug because being confused by your body is so hard.
  • In continuation of ovarian mystery - my OPK is still high today but does seem to be slowly fading it’s a 1.06 today instead of a 1.08. However last night it was lower. Am I allowed to post a screen shot of them here? I’ve not really used these things much before and the app for some reason keeps giving me different numbers so I take the middle one
  • @daisy0322 There's an OPK help thread pinned at the top of the board for posting pics of OPKs

@daisy0322 Sorry you’re going through this annoying confusion. I have a few thoughts about everything you’ve posted, hope it may be helpful!
    1) I understand that you said elsewhere on the board that you have POI. Your chart and symptoms also sound like you could
possibly have PCOS. You may want to ask your new doc to run hormone tests to determine if this is the case.
    2) Your chart looks like you either already O and should be expecting AF any day now, or you are expecting O now. Either way, I’d ask for a progesterone test the next time your chart indicates that you ovulated. You want to have this test done 7 days after ovulation to see whether your progesterone confirms O, and whether your progesterone levels get high enough after O to sustain a pregnancy. Right now, if you did already O, your temps suggest that maybe your progesterone level isn’t consistent after O.
    3) I’ve done several Letrozole cycles and they always result in 3-4 large follicles in a cycle despite me being AMA & having DOR. My RE is only monitoring my bloodwork from a distance right now, because I’m not in danger of having too many follicles. Hope this helps give another view of why you may want to try Letrozole.

  • @inthewoods23 I was told to take 600mg Ubiquinol. I’ve heard others say on various forums that it should be 600 of CoQ10, but only 300 of Ubiquinol since it’s twice as
potent/accessible by the body as CoQ10. I’ve seen other women say they are taking up to 1200 CoQ10 (these are women with DOR) so I just stick with 400 or 600 Ubiquinol depending on what I remember to take on any given day.

  • @keikilove thank you! Yes I’ve been tested for PCOS and it’s negative-3 times. I think that’s good insight though if I’ve already ovulated - I have had to take progesterone in the past. So maybe I think the next few days I’ll know more. I really appreciate your insight. I’ll definitely ask the Doc about letrozole when I see her next month! Shes ended up saying she didn’t want to do clomid but she had ideas but I don’t know what they are yet. I actually think I may be ovulating now or having another false surge. But it’s a guess as good as any. Thank you again 💕
  • @daisy0322 speaking of progesterone, you can get Proov test on Amazon or on their website to help you confirm if you O'ed. If you order now, it's likely you get it by the time you need to test (7-10DPO). Note, they suggest a baselines test after AF, before FW, but it's not mandatory.

  • LOL; yeah, basically it's fine to get into the habit of POAS every day of your cycle. OPKs, then Proov, then HPT. Might as well get used to it!

  • I truly can’t decide because obviously I’m bias.... I was sick over the weekend. Saturday I felt not great all day and ended up getting a fever later on, Sunday I had a fever off and on. Definitely throwing out Sunday’s temp. But Saturday makes a huge difference (of course) I also slept with a fan in me all night because I was tossing and turning and hardly slept. On the bright side I’ve generally been sleeping and waking up at a more consistent time so I do think my temps are more reliable than they were two weeks ago... Here’s my charts, I truly appreciate how much everyone had been helping me with my broken ovaries -

If I throw out both days I was sick

If I only throw out the day I woke up with a fever (annnnd the spoiler boxes won’t work)

  • @daisy0322 Yeah, it's a tough call, and I think unfortunately only time will tell.  BUT!  I do think since you were sick both days, that is a valid reason to flag those temps for FF to discard.  And since that's what gives you CH, (dotted, but at least it's something), I don't see anything wrong with that.  Hopefully it pans out!  KEEP TEMPING!  It's nice how the post-O temps are smoothing out for you now, which should make it a lot easier to interpret, the more consistent the temp times are.  It will be nice to see if they stay elevated for you in the coming days.  Curious - what detection method are you using?  i.e. Advanced, FAM, Research  Do any of the other methods give you solid CH? (leaving both sick days marked as such)
  • @BusinessWife so on research i still get dotted lines... I usually use advanced. I do know the last time I took provera I temped and my temps were never a ton higher
