Any Friends fans out there?? I was reading about the reunion episode that they just finished shooting and should be releasing later this year. I'm cautiously excited about it! That was one show that I feel just wrapped everything up so perfectly in the finale, and I was nervous when I initially heard about a reunion episode. It sounds like it will be unscripted and more of a "walk down memory lane" type of thing, so it should be fun to watch.
I'm so over this colder weather! It's been so sunny and beautiful outside, just chilly. I've only got one pair of maternity pants that fit me right now so I've been wearing capris and it's too chilly for that lol I just want to chill out back with shorts and a t-shirt and be comfy!

We made a long weekend trip home to visit my family in Ohio for mother's day. It was great until my brother & his family were leaving. He kept jabbing my arm because "it's fun to make your skin turn white!" So i went to knock his hand away and tell him to cut it out and I hit his wrist and he tried to make me look like the bad guy. I ended up storming off upstairs in tears because, despite me telling him for the last i dunno, 25 years that he pokes/hits/touches way harder than he thinks, it always hurts, he tries to turn it around and make himself look like the victim. Like, okay, kid fights are fine for siblings if you're still 10. We're both in our 30s and it's time for him to grow TF up. No wonder his 4 kids are heathens. I think his wife got offended too that we "came in town on Thursday" (we really came in on Wednesday) but only saw them for a few hours on Saturday. Had they known we were in earlier, they would have been over at my parent's house every night...there's only so much I can take of my brothers family. We don't have a great relationship (can you tell??) and that's why we didn't tell them we came in earlier.

also this damn preggo bloodhound nose, there’s this weird smell in our living room and I can’t figure out where it’s coming from or even if it’s entirely real since nobody else seems to smell it??? It’s also unseasonably cold today so I hate to open the windows.
@paulpaw I definitely struggle with that. My old coworkers said I got very straightforward with both previously... it’s like I’m pregnant and I have zero time for y’all’s BS
I bought a few oversized button downs from an online thrift store, thinking they'd be good for late summer if the weather is cool, and would be good for BFing into the fall and winter. I guess I didn't look closely enough because one of the shirts has little spikes on both shoulders 🤦♀️ It's like hostile architecture in shirt form. Guess I won't be burping over the shoulder in that one.
@penny624 I forgot about that Friends reunion! I agree, it was all wrapped up so well and they were going in different directions so I didn't really see how they could do a proper "reboot" sort of thing, but if it's more a reminiscing thing that might be good. Or I'll watch it and feel annoyed that they didn't just leave well enough alone.
@CanadianGamerMom Agreed, it's BS here too. I love me some leggings but I'm getting very tired of wearing them while it's cold and windy. Supposed to get better here starting tomorrow though! I just want to wear a dress and feel like less of a slob!
@paulpaw I struggle with attitude filter on a regular basis, pregnancy makes it 100x worse. Work emails were...um...direct?? by the time I went on mat leave last time. My poor husband deals with my sass all the time and it's just so much worse these day
Today's fun activities include packing up my son's extra toys while he napped (haha, sorry kid) and then measuring the faces of his favourite stuffies for my mom to make them teeny tiny face masks. He turns 2 next month and there are a few places that will enforce mask wearing and he refuses to wear one. So I'm getting desperate over here!
We went on a belated Mother’s Day hike yesterday which we figured would be about 2h of walking - ended up being closer to 4. I can barely move today 😂 lots and lots of steep climbs/descents!
I think there must have been something in the air yesterday because I was super cranky too. I was at work and we were BUSY so I didn’t even open this app. It just felt like everything was 10x harder than it needed to be. I even had someone group message both my managers and my managers’ manager on a secured text message thread where they tried to throw me under the bus for something. Thankfully the higher ups think my reputation for being a bulldog for my patients is a positive thing because I did not hold back in my response. I’m very happy I am not working today.
I'm already a very direct and to the point person(which a lot of people view as rude). But when I am pregnant I become so much worse. I am so short with customers. Last time I was pregnant a customer was complaining about how he had weeds in his lawn, I calmly explained that he hadn't had his weeds sprayed yet. It escalated to him yelling at me, and calling me names for a good 15 minutes. I eventually snapped told him to go f* himself, got into my truck, drove down the street and cried for another 15 minutes before calling my manager.
@lmcw I wait until it's over and then binge the whole thing...but lately I haven't wanted to watch anything serious...the world is too sad/crazy right now all I want to watch is mindless comedy
It’s in the 50’s warm and sunny and I just put the baby down. I plan to spend the next 2 hours sitting on my deck in the sun listening to my kids play in the backyard. I love these sunny Alaskan days. They make the snowy dark days worth it.

Sitting on my bed tearing up at the end and then there wasn't another one right away! I was very okay with 2 episodes back to back those first couple weeks lol @grizzlymama86 this is where your plan to binge it all later would be a better idea!
@chewie5990 I really debated watching this season for that same reason, but I have so few shows that I really love that I was just excited to have new episodes. I found the 3rd season a lot harder to watch since it was airing near the end of my first pregnancy and then after my son was born; a lot more feelings about it while having my own baby!
I'm sure I'm not the only one who loves crafty fun projects. This is my latest project. My grandma got this rocking chair for Christmas in 1953. Pretty much every kid/grandkid/great-grandkid (minus one great grandchild) since then has had a chance to sit in the chair. I decided (with grandma's blessing of course) to bring it up to date a little. It came to us in rough condition (my brother's kids aren't gentle in anything they have), so I want to reinforce the frame, maybe sand and refinish is, and of course reupholster it! I can't wait to do it. I just ordered the fabric and tacks today. I'm also going to try to collect photos of everyone who's sat in the chair and make a collage and use the existing fabric to cover a frame and gift it to my grandma.
@williams-jen that’s awesome!!! We moved to be closer to my family a few years ago and it’s so wonderful, especially with young kids around!
Our house just got wrecked this weekend. My husband got really bad, sudden seasonal allergies and I pulled a muscle in my butt/lower back which is making it hard to walk. Hoping tomorrow brings some relief from our issues 😝
@williams-jen That's so great! When we move in a few weeks we'll be 10 minutes max from my inlaws and I am SO looking forward to having them so much closer!

This weekend was so beautiful, I feel so much more energetic after a few days of good weather! Took our little guy to the park both days, got some work done outside, got some packing done for the move...going to bed so tired but very happy!
We got bad news from our realtor today re our appraisal and FHA loan the buyer wants to use. We had a hardass appraiser who wrote down about a crawl space and may disqualify the house from FHA eligibility although we used a VA loan which has the same requirements almost. It’s bad news because we don’t want to have to list again and find another buyer with our settlement two weeks away. 😫
@whatabout2ndbreakfast ahhh that sucks!! Can a house not have a crawl space for an FHA loan? Because I feel like that's a pretty common thing? We went through a similar thing when we sold our first house. The appraiser gave us this long list of stuff we had to fix, and the buyers were doing an FHA loan too so I feel like they were extra stringent! But we had bought that house with an FHA loan initially, and those things we had to fix were there when we bought it....pretty ridiculous!
@penny624 the issue is there is not a crawl space under the dining room so there isn’t access to pipes under there. There’s a ~1 ft space but not a real “crawl space”. So unfixable! there’s a bit of a list of other stuff too- all things that weren’t needed when we bought! Sucks how the appraiser can have such different opinions!
@whatabout2ndbreakfast this seems very unusual for a FHA appraiser. He must have been having a very bad day. We’ve bought FHA 2x, the first they had to fix a small area of peeling paint and our current house I can’t even remember them saying anything. What’s the options?
