    @CanadianGamerMom - Solidarity. DD (who is a great sleeper) has been very resistant to bedtime and nap time lately. Fortunately once she’s down she’s down for the night, but it’s been meltdown central every time we try to get her to go to sleep the past week or so. I actually think she may sense my pregnancy because she’s going through a bit of a regression in general. Terrible twos are coming in hot over here. Send tequila... oh wait!

    Just a PSA.....

    The liquid magnesium I have been taking has completely taken care of my constipation problem. Things are moving great and I sleep better at night. I take it at night because apparently it can make you drowsy. I usually just take a stool softener but I won’t be needing any of that at all. I don’t think I will ever stop taking this magical stuff!!!

    @agea Yeah, we had the boys, the youngest kids, sharing for awhile but then my oldest was having trouble going to sleep and being on her own (she's never liked being alone at night) so she wanted to go back with the boys. For awhile we tried getting the boys down first and then my girl would go to bed but then she kept being more and more difficult when it was her turn, so we stopped doing that. 

    My husband took over putting them to bed everynight, even though he often doesn't get home until their bedtime, so I'm definitely not complaining about that. He often doesn't shower or eat until the kids are asleep, last night was just a combination of a bunch if things that made me in a grumpy/impatient mood. Usually the kids aren't terrible once they're finally in their beds

    @krash_ I was JUST thinking how I finally understand what they say about having smaller meals, more often. It’s the only way to get through to dinner! Just tucking in to my 3pm “snack”

    Yes I worked out at lunch and then had a small thing of leftovers and was starving already. Plus if I get hungry then I get nauseous and then I feel like I can't eat at all.

    Crazy how different the boards are now, you can’t even lurk current month groups for the birth announcement thread because there’s nothing there. Most BMB leading up to ours have little or no activity. It’s bizarre. 

    It’s like they hid the boards, it took me a while to find them this time around.

    @paulpaw Those boards have likely moved to a PG here on TB or moved over to FB. You likely won’t see any birth announcements from any BMB at all.

    @paulpaw TB never fully recovered after the exodus. It’s so slow. I haven’t been on the other boards where everyone settled in awhile because people keep getting pissed about something and then they move again. So I quite trying to keep up. Now I don’t have the time to lurk and post on that many boards.

    I’ve been trying to get DH a PlayStation 5 since literally before Christmas. I didn’t feel so bad about not getting it for Christmas because our 5 year anniversary is in may and I thought that would be a good “big gift” for him then. Well here I am 4 weeks out and still have not been able to get my hands on one. I even follow all the bots on Twitter that alert me when they restock and I can never purchase one. 

    So I think I need to pivot and come up with an alternative gift. He’s so hard to shop for. He loves experiences. Tickets to things. But....... here we are still in Covidland! I’m so seriously stumped and starting to stress.

    @runningonindie I'm going super low stress with gifts (as I have for the last year, lol). Our 9th anniversary is next month and DH is getting a leather valet tray with "I carry your heart with me" engraved in it (he wrote that poem in my card on our wedding day). Thank GOD he started giving me traditional gifts every year and we've stuck with it. Do I think he actually wants or needs a leather valet tray? Absolutely not. Does it fulfill the obligation to get an anniversary gift? yes. lol 

    Pretty much everything I put in his stocking at Christmas is stuff I'm now using myself. I've stunk at gifts this year, but we're both just kind of, over it. 

    The traditional 5th year gift is wood. Does that help you think of anything? I got DH a bottle opener mounted on a piece of wood engraved with our last initial that year. He got me a sign for the house the was engraved with our names and the year we got married.

    @krash_ nope! My response would be, whatever your child will eat 🤣

    A helpful hint though, if you need to use formula and use one of the two big brands, sign up for coupon checks from both brands and find another mom that uses the other brand and have her do the same. Then send each other the checks you won't use. Then you get double the checks. 

    I think I only paid full price once or twice for my son, and I sent a twin mom tons of coupons for her kids too.

    @krash_ yeah that one seems odd 

    @paulpaw I feel like part of the reason the boards are slow are because they’re hidden ! They’re hard to get to in the app esp if you didn’t intentionally go looking for them. That stinks about the baby announcements. our 2018 board was still doing them on TB even though we moved to fb. 

    @runningonindie MH is hard to buy for. I wish we would have started the traditional gifting like marymh80 suggested! We don’t really do anniversary gifts beyond dinner or a trip

    @whatabout2ndbreakfast yeah for my 2017 BMB & 2019 it was no problem to find on the app (in fact it was so easy to find that that's how I found the BMB in the first place). This time I thought it had disappeared and took me a long time to find it even though I knew what I was looking for.

    My anxiety got the best of me last night.... I’ve had soooo much pelvic pressure and Braxton Hicks and google had me convinced I have a incompetent cervix. So I got dressed and dragged my 4 year old with me to the er because I wasn’t going to get any sleep 🙃 It was a waste. They checked his HB, checked to see if I was having contractions and made me pee in a cup and sent me home. It literally did nothing to fix my anxiety and I’m not even sure why 🙄 I have my 20 week appointment tomorrow so I just have to hold out until then.

    btw, do we have a FB group yet? It’s soooo much easier to post there and be active 🤣 so I was just wondering!

    @ladylynn222 I’m so sorry!!!! I know the feeling. I’ve come so close to doing the same. I’m also eagerly awaiting a Facebook group! My last BMB switched over closer to due dates but I have more thoroughly enjoyed checking the group on that app.

    @runningonindie and @ladylynn222 I am also patiently waiting for FB transition...my last bump group switched to a private bump group before moving to FB..not sure we haven't really talked much about plans to move here. We were private around 20 weeks though and then moved to FB around the time everyone started getting into the 3rd trimester. Maybe time to put together a poll soon to see what everyone is thinking about when/how to move over

    @ladylynn222 when you have your scan tomorrow, the most accurate way to check cervix is on an entirely empty bladder with a transvaginal scan, so don't be afraid to express that's what you want! My cervix went from 5cm on full bladder to somewhere around 2.5 or 2.8cm on an empty bladder 5 minutes later.

    @runningonindie @chewie5990 last time I didn't transition to FB (transition happened right before babies were due) as I use DH's FB and didn't want to creep everyone out. Probably only 10% of the board didn't have FB and so it was like a desert wasteland on BMB! And it really stunk as I never got to find out how the other deliveries went. So this time everyone will have to accept that I'm using DH's FB and its not some weirdo trying to join, lol.

    @sleepydaze I don’t feel comfortable having a male profile in a FB group. Sorry. Just create your own if you want to be apart of it. 

    I personally am not ready for the FB transition yet. It’s still early. I would rather us go to a PG before we transition to a FB group.

    My 2018 board waited until sometime third tri to move, there was a vetting process involved also. Basically you had to be active on TB to move over. A couple people made a list of all the active people and then sent them messages asking for their FB names and then sent them group invites. Once in the group people could also say usernames who were less active or just active on certain threads but that they thought should move over and they were voted on. I feel like it’s a bit early to move now but I also do like the FB platform better! I’ve never used a private bump group before.
