My tiny girl was born on 2.12.21 weighing just 2lbs 3oz. I had gone to another appointment the day before and we found that her growth was still getting slower so my doctors decided it was time to deliver the following day. I was 34w5d. She arrived via c-section and has been the sweetest most content baby. She’s been in the NICU since she was born and we were moved to a children’s hospital a couple hours from home because of their higher level NICU, so my husband and I have been staying out here to be near her. She’s doing really well, but does have a few things going on that we’ll deal with as we need to. Our main thing is get her weight up so she can finally come home with us. ❤️

My water broke early AM and my body had trouble getting contractions consistent so we eventually opted for Pitocin to help get things going. Once contractions began to get super intense and consistent I opted for an epidural but I had them keep it low so that when it came time to push I could still have control. It basically just took the edge off enough to get me to transition so I felt everything when the time came. Pushed for about an hour and we were all shocked at her size and I am so thankful they didn’t tell me she was face up because that would have definitely discouraged me. I’m really grateful for my L&D team and my husband for coaching me through! We are so incredibly in love with our Rainbow Baby ❤️
