@sliztee haha I love that term. I didn't start napping until 3rd tri last time, I think having a toddler this time around doesn't help 🤣
Random side note, I told my husband about momnesia setting in after and that that what keeps society going. So he asked me in the middle of labor and right after if we still want more than one kid. Joke was on him because I still said "of course!"
@marbellie kudos to you for even talking to him during labor. Last time DH was trying to coach me and I snapped at him, “Will you please just stop talking!” You must’ve really been trying to prove a point lol
@doodleoodle haha, I love that! I was on day 5 of labor at that point and was so excited to finally be admitted into the hospital. He should've asked at night 3 of no sleep instead 😴🤣
Still feeling super queasy all of the time. I have started taking B6 and unisom (haven't quite figured out how much unisom to take) as per someone's recommendation...maybe @sliztee ? It definitely seems to dial it down but I still don't feel great. Sitting in a recliner helps, too bad I can't do all my work while supine lol
I hit 6 weeks today and my morning sickness is out of control. Everything is making me gag. I’m trying my best to hold back and not get sick because, in my experience, once I actually vomit I’ll vomit every day. I just googled when morning sickness peaks though and it said week 8-10 😫
also, my 5 year old just told me she thinks my belly probably hurts because there’s a new baby in there and then asked, “what do the cells that daddy gives you look like?” because apparently, she asked him where babies come from and he told her the daddy gives the mommy some “daddy cells” lol I mean, he’s not wrong but I swear to God if she asks me how I got those cells I’m going to have to run out of the room. I’m not prepared for this.
@doodleoodle "daddy cells" 🤣🤣! My 4 year old doesn't understand why I can't just push the baby out now.
I feel you on the trying not to vomit, once I start actually throwing up my body doesn't want to stop. Although, with my son my morning sickness was horrendous about 6-7 weeks then slowly faded until 12 weeks when it was mostly gone. Hopefully your's won't keep getting worse.
@artsiefartsie haha do they think a baby the size of a blueberry (or however big your baby is now) would be so cool? I tried explaining to my kids how little babies are when they first start forming and my oldest is still going around telling people that she was my smallest baby because when she was born she was the size of an appleseed 😂
@eggsandwich2019 Yep, I suggested it! Did you take the Unisom at night? It helps me sleep. I take the B6 in the morning with my other meds and it has helped with the nausea quite a bit!
@sliztee The unisom definitely helps with sleeping. I just talked to my dr on the phone and she said she is happy to have me try b6/unisom and she'd call in a prescription for zofran so I have it on hand just in case. I was feeling really averse to taking anything but honestly it's so hard to get anything done and doctors say these are all safe so I've decided to trust science. I can't tell if this pregnancy is worse than my previous one, but certainly chasing after a 2 year old and working (I'm a college prof so I don't teach in the summers, which is when first tri occurred last time) is not helping anything.
So had the first vaginal ultrasound this morning. Around 11 o clock I wiped brown discharge. By 4 the brown only got darker. Now I seem to have them everytime I wipe, the color seems stable. No cramps. Is it something to worry?
@sthlm_21 spotting after an u/s and is very common. They really dig around in there and any implantation/old leftover blood can be pushed out or it could have irritated your cervix. I wouldn't worry, unless it picks up quite a bit.

Thank you. That’s reassuring. This is the first time I’m bleeding after an ultrasound and dread was sinking in. Hope it clears tomorrow. Thanks again
My mom gave me some really good words of wisdom. I told her how when I have symptoms, I’m miserable because of them and when I don’t have them, I worry something might be wrong. She said, “embrace the good and nurture the bad” and I thought that was some really good advice I’d pass along
@marbellie omg I’ve been having a lot of trouble staying asleep just because my dreams have been so monotonous. Like just going about my day at work or something just as not exciting

Haha that's literally what woke me up this morning and I couldn't go back to sleep even though it is my sleep in day (MH gets Sunday morning)
I spent Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nauseous night and day and vomiting fairly frequently. I was absolutely miserable - thankfully my RE called in phenergan. I slept for 24 hours and haven't thrown up since yesterday morning. Thank God because I was not sure I would make it the rest of the first trimester
