@MelissaMay82 I haven’t been to that particular restaurant but I loooove crab boil spots 😆 There’s a chain out here called the Boiling Crab and it’s literally my favorite place.
Are you from DFW?! Or is it just a coincidence that we have a Boiling Crab here too?

  • @legallykate I’ve heard it is so common for it to take a few days to diagnose breaks in toddlers. They are so resilient and casts don’t seem to phase them. Definitely harder for the momma’s heart. Hope the three weeks pass quickly and your week gets much calmer!
  • @legallykate I'm so sorry to hear she fractured her arm. That's so tough when kids are little and unsure as to how to tell us they are in pain or need. I hope these weeks pass quickly for you.

I have been MIA as DH was traveling for close to three weeks and all household, child taking care of, and work took priority. I look forward to being active again as I missed you all over these few weeks.
  • @tilournextadventure you’ve been in survival mode the last few weeks. I’m the default parent 98% of the time, but for almost the first full year of DDs life I was the only parent 98% of the time because of Hs work schedule. That is mentally and physically exhausting and you’ve been doing it while pregnant.
  • @klj0228 thanks for that. ❤️ It's mentally exhausting and I praise that you do it (almost) full time. Three weeks was enough for me.

Thankfully, I do not do it anymore.right around DDs 1st birthday DH decided to quit his job, I was getting ready to go back to work and he took a much less stressful job with daytime hours. It made a huge difference in our marriage and our child actually got to know him. I could do it again if I had to, but it was so tough.
  • @mc0303 you guys have been very quick and on top of this move! I’m impressed. Did you find a dr willing to accept you in your new area?
  • @klj0228 I did find a new practice but I hope they’re not regretting it 😅 I’m already on a first name basis with the all receptionists and nurses because we’ve been on the phone so much. I think they might refer me to a MFM doctor but this practice will be my home base 🤞🏽. I honestly don’t know how we’re managing to pull this move off. We’re hurrying to be in our place right at 28 weeks. Moving is so much harder with a toddler emptying everything once it’s packed 😩
  • I'm having a really hard day. The same food that I've been eating every morning for the past 10 weeks is now spiking me.
Lunch that used to give me great numbers is now spiking me
My fastings have been high two days in a row now. I just feel so discouraged 😭😭😭
3 days ago I was vomiting all day and my sugars were like 50-70 all day so I just don't know what's going on with my body but it's so frustrating.

  • @ruemcclanahan, any chance you’ve had more stress recently?? I’ve definitely mentioned it before but it contributes. Some of my highest numbers were during my final exams with #1.

@mc0303, omg it’s all so soon!! Try and take it easy so no more false contractions. And yes moving with a toddler is just ridiculously inefficient. Good luck with everything!!

  • Wow! @mc0303 you are moving so fast! Good luck with packing and then unpacking with toddler. Also snacks for the flight, I feel I never have enough. Pack way more than you think you will need.
  • @ruemcclanahan I’m so sorry! That has to be super frustrating. I don’t know how you then find foods to eat if your “safe” foods so far are suddenly causing issues.
  • @ruemcclanahan Oh no! I can imagine that is super frustrating because I am still figuring out what spikes me and what doesn’t. To just have it figured out and it throwing you for a loop again would be a horrible setback. If your fasting numbers are high, try to eat another snack during the night. If your blood sugar gets too low during the night your liver kicks in and it spikes your blood sugar. Like AkuzReve said, my numbers spikes when I was getting ready for baby shower because I was stressed about getting everyone out the door on time. Maybe try a 5-10 min walk after each meal too. Hope something helps!
  • @legallykate I’m so sorry to hear about DD. My toddler son just got out of his long arm cast after 5 weeks. He is a climber. He cried for a few minutes while I ran around panicked trying to figure out where to take him and call my husband who was working to meet us at ER and by the time I got his coat on he had stopped crying and didn’t cry again. My husband even messed with his arm, once we got to the ER, and thought he was fine because DS didn’t react. He still had his coat on though. I explained I knew it was broken because I saw his arm.

It ended up being broken in 2 places and had to be reset. He was fine and acted like the cast wasn’t even there, but it is very traumatic for us parents. He cried for about 5 minutes and I cried for about 5 days. Don’t be too hard on yourself. If I couldn’t visibly see his DS arm was broken I wouldn’t have known either. I hope your DD gets better soon!

@mc0303 we moved during second trimester with my DS, but just down the street. You’re so on top of everything! Having a toddler puts packing up and moving on a whole different level. I hope the contractions stop for you.
