Anyone else feel like everything stinks?! Seriously, everything. I know a heightened sense of smell is common, but I’d imagine that is smelling everything’s “natural” smell, good and bad. What I’m experiencing is the same smell no matter what. Chicken noodle soup, same smell. Airfryer chicken, same smell. Brown sugar oatmeal, same smell. Eggs, same stupid smell. Like rotten food/BO. It’s almost like I’ve got something rotten stuffed in my nose and that’s all I can smell. I just can’t stand it, I’m so nauseous all the time. This didn’t happen with my first 🤢
@tmk2021 I know exactly what you are talking about. Thankfully, so far I haven't had it this pregnancy, but with my first everything had the same metallic/rotten meat undertone and it was awful. It did calm down once I was out of the first trimester so I hope it does for you too.
@sliztee I didn’t. I just replaced a king with a king and I am using the old king mattress for the guest room, which is currently a queen. Clear as mud. We sleep with 2 dogs on our bed and one is 80lbs, no way we can downgrade 😆
@tmk2021 The smells are killing me too! I went out for pizza on Sunday and the basil about did me in. It was all I could do to not push it all the way across the table.
Nausea seems to be coming in full force - all day. Everything makes me want to throw up...being hungry, eating food, drinking water, moving. It makes it so hard to concentrate at work

I get super tired every now and then and occasionally I feel intermittently queasy in the afternoons. (Not terrible though - I probably wouldn't notice half the time if I wasn't pregnant and so focused on how I'm feeling!)
I’m also SUPER cranky/irritable. Hoping this passes for everyone in my house’s sake!
Does anyone else's uterus feel heavy or "full" sometimes? I had to Google to make sure I wasn't crazy, and it's apparently a thing. Maybe I just didn't notice it with DS
Gah, headaches and tiredness are my two symptoms right now.
We’re building a house and we went to the construction site last week. My dumba$$ stepped on not one, but two nails. Dr said I’m okay and up to date on my tetanus shot, but it was good and sore for the entire week. Just gotta watch for infection now, but it’s looking okay so far.
@marbellie definitely been feeling that this week. Today, I started feeling these aches that I couldnt decipher if it was gas pain or just my uterus stretching but it was in the lower abdomen and crotch area. Not fun
Well here I am, 5:45 am and deciding to cut my losses and just get out of bed. I’ve been awake since 4, and have been awake between 3 and 5 every single night this week. It’s absolutely killing me. I guess early morning insomnia is a thing in the first trimester? Anyone else have this? Why am I getting the weird symptoms only 🤣 funny thing is that I’m still late for work every day due to exhaustion and just plain hating my job 🤭
@usedtobeknottie insomnia is real! I seem to wake up at 3:30 every morning. I try to go back to sleep but eventually I have to get up to pee. On days I work, it’s especially bad because I get up at 5. I can’t get back to sleep because I know my alarm will go off soon 😩. If I do sleep well, I have the weirdest dreams.
Ok we are having the exact same thing! except my alarm is set for 6. I am trying to look out for the health of the little blueberry so when I wake up, I’ve moved my alarm to 6:30... but that just means I’m in bed and annoyed longer 😢. I hope this is a quick phase.
The weird early morning insomnia is always my first symptom when I'm pregnant. And yes the dreams! I've been having the weirdest and most vivid dreams. I can't wait until the second trimester.
Yes! The dreams! I feel like it is every night, all night - super strange and vivid dreams. I swear I’m exhausted in the morning partly from having to keep up with all the dream craziness.
+1 for the dreams! The night before my bfp I had a dream that I had a baby boy. The next day I took a hpt just as sort of a joke on dh. The joke was on me lol
The all day nausea has set in. It was pretty sporadic before, but it is literally all day now.
I went to bed last night at 8:30, right after putting the kiddos to bed. I then slept until 6. I woke up, brushed my teeth, fixed my hair, and when the kids weren’t up yet I went back to sleep. 😂 I have always powered through the 1st trimester exhaustion, but not this time lol

Ugh. I remember pregnancy and hating my job. Needless to say, I did not return after maternity leave.
Try Unisom for sleep! It’s safe during pregnancy and has been a godsend for me, as I have issues with sleeping when I’m not pregnant.
@usedtobeknottie yep, I have been experiencing this too. Some nights I get back to sleep easily, others I don't. My dreams have been slightly less kooky recently but the first couple of weeks they were totally wacky.
@sliztee I would absolutely love to never come back here! That would be the dream. I will look up Unisom thanks! I used to be on night shifts so I am ok with being tired, but I want to keep as healthy as possible... I need sleeeeep.
@doodleoodle I had a dream I had a baby the night before I took my test too! I stayed in bed for 2 extra hours because I was so sure it would be negative (it always was) and I wanted to enjoy the dream for a while lol.
the dreams are insane. Pregnancy is insane haha. I am so sorry for you guys dealing with nausea too. Can’t imagine it all at once 😬
+1 for early morning insomnia! Everyday at 5:00 I wake up. It's been hit or miss if I fall back asleep. I tried a unisom for the first time last night and so even though I did wake up at 5 (and fell back asleep!), I felt like I slept really soundly 🙌🏼
For my fellow nauseated mamas, I was digging through my old pregnancy stuff from my first and found some of those acupressure seasickness bands you put on your wrists. I forgot how much they do actually help me, especially with that lower grade constant nausea. It doesn't get rid of it, just takes it from a 5 to like 3, and takes the edge off. If anyone was looking for something else to try out. ❤
@artsiefartsie I should try mine again. I had them on last week and then after my first covid vaccine, while I was waiting to make sure there were no ill effects I started to feel numbness in my hands....which I realized were due to the seabands. Sigh. But I'll give them another go, this nausea sucks.
@artsiefartsie and @eggsandwich2019 I put mine on yesterday for most of the morning and afternoon - I was surprised at how well they worked.

I currently can’t keep anything down 😩🤢 I’m struggling so hard. I was throwing up so fast this morning that I couldn’t even keep up and almost choked on it and made this AWFUL noise and now my throat hurts as well 😒
@sonovia they can fluctuate A LOT from what I’ve heard. Good job trying not to freak out... I know it’s got to be hard. Hopefully your next appointment is soon so you can be reassured ❤️
5 weeks tomorrow. My tummy feels sort of queasy when it's empty and my appetite has increased. I'm just trying to eat small meals/snacks throughout the day to avoid nausea. I feel exhausted all the time. I just folded a pile of laundry, and I feel like a ran a marathon. I also have had a crampy feeling in my lower left abdomen all day. Sore boobs, omggg so sore. My first pregnancy was not like this at all. 😓 I had so much more energy in the early stages and less symptoms.

This is so refreshing for me to read. I definitely feel much worse this time than my last. I know part of it is general mom-of-a-toddler tiredness, but the accompanying symptoms are just making me miserable.
@jenniferjoy37 Oh my gosh so much gas! My whole abdomen is uncomfortable and I am rivaling DH with my farting and burping

5+1 today and I've noticed that I'm more tired than last pregnancy already 🤣 last time I felt hyper-energized but this time I've felt like napping everyday for the last week.
My stomach had been super gurgle-y the last couple days whenever I eat anything that’s not super bland 🤢 I don’t remember this from previous pregnancies....
