Re: March FET Group (Frozen Embryo Transfers)

  • @vlr2015 congratulations!!! Do you have any plans for 2WW?
@ashleyhj29 FX your lining is where it’s supposed to be for a transfer 🤞🏻
@thezaltyberger how is it going? Did AF show up? This process is so out of our hands....

AFM I have my lining check this Thursday, so hopefully it’s growing. Also got my second COVID vaccine on Saturday, so that is out the way. I try not to think about FET to control my anxiety....planning to find some meditation music if something
  • @dukie001 can you believe it?? NOTHING! I’m on day 32, starting day 33 tomorrow...ridiculous. I am worried. I’ve always been super regular except the month before my wedding I was over a week late, AF started on day 34, that was the longest I’ve gone. I’m definitely not pregnant. I called the clinic and they said not to worry, but if I get to day 35 then I should come in for bloodwork and an ultrasound...

I’m so glad you’re getting vaccinated @dukie001!!! One less thing to worry about. I’ve had good luck with meditations on Headspace, maybe that could work for you too? Grow, lining, grow!!! Keep us posted!

  • @ashleyhj29 how was your lining check?
@dukie001 praying for a great number for you Thursday!
@thezaltyberger sorry things are in limbo...that's so frustrating

    How's everyone else?
  • @thezaltyberger sorry to hear you’re in waiting limbo. Every little extra wait can be so annoying. I’m sure you’ll get it soon and be back in the swing of things. Glad to hear the clinic will see you on day 35 though.

@vlr2015 congrats on your embryo transfer! Fingers crossed and sending sticky vibes to you!

@ashleyhj29 hoping for good news on your lining check!! 🤞🏻

@dukie001 good luck with your lining check tomorrow, and congrats on being vaccinated, that’s amazing ☺️👍🏻

AFM: I’m just plugging away on estrogen and prenatal vitamins. I have my lining check next Tuesday March 16.
We are in Ontario Canada, and it’s syrup season! So we have been busy collecting sap and will do our first boil this weekend to get delicious maple syrup! Yum, I can’t wait :)
  • @thezaltyberger I've had a cycle or 2 that just didn't want to start either. Sometimes stress can cause a delay. Fingers crossed for you :)

@vlr2015 how're you feeling?!? super excited?!

AFM: My lining was barely at 7mm yesterday so they've added 2 estradiol vaginally along with the 3 orally and I took another delestrogen shot this morning. I am literally FULL OF ESTROGEN! Luckily, my numbers arent skyrocketing so they aren't concerned. I had them check my prior transfers lining and I was between 8.2 and 9mm so I guess I'm on the thinner side. I don't have an issue with them implanting either, it's just getting the baby to stay and not MC. Would that have anything to do with lining? The lovenox should help with any clotting issues that may have caused my last MC. If all goes well tomorrow at lining, I'll transfer on 3/18.

  • @ashleyhj29: I am so glad your lining is almost at 7mm!! Hoping for even better number for you tomorrow.
I am excited and anxious. I get hopeful and then at the same time feel afraid to get too hopeful. Physical I feel ok...few cramps and twinges here and there.
  • @ashleyhj29
Oh, man, I feel for you on the estrogen. I'm just on patches every other day and I still feel like crap with horrid headaches (I guess from the hormones??). And tired. I fell asleep at 8:30 last night -- after napping from 7 pm until 8 pm!! Hopefully it helps to plump up your lining! I'm not an expert of course, but I think lining quality is going to be mostly related to implantation and very early nutrition for the embryo/fetus. My understanding is that as long as it's above 8, you should be fine -- pregnancy rates slightly decrease for lining between 7 and 8, but have no change for linings above 8 (and I think it can peak at 14-16 mm!!).

    @vlr2015
Do you think you'll test early? My first transfer I just felt so defeated and hopeless that I didn't even think about testing at home -- so I was totally surprised when my first beta was positive. But that can either be a nice surprise or a bad one....I'll probably not be able to avoid testing this time around.

  • @mbradfo2: probably will test...been trying to test out trigger and it's almost gone. I think I'd probably rather know so I can be prepared if beta is negative.
  • Had my lining check today, it went well and was at 9mm. FET will be as scheduled on 3/19.
@ashleyhj29 how did your appointment go?
@thezaltyberger I’m thinking about you, I really hope AF showed up!!!
  • Here's something to distract us from upcoming transfers and TWW --

Anyone reading something good (or watching a good show)?
I finished the Wars of the Roses series by Conn Igulden (I think that's how you spell it) and am currently taking a break by re-reading "The Hot Zone" (about an Ebola outbreak). I love scientific thrillers like The Andromeda Strain and historical fiction.

  • I'm so disappointed...my lining didnt increase yesterday...if anything, it may have decreased. My MD is on vaca this week so the covering MD said to stay on meds and come back Monday for my final lining check. If it's still stalled/decreasing, I'll stop estrogen and wait for my cycle to come and start all over again.
I'm a little bummed, but still have a little hope that it may increase by Monday. If not, I would much rather have a canceled cycle than face another miscarriage.
However, we have a vaca in May...going to our timeshare in St. Maarten. I would love to either be SUPER pregnant by then or wait to transfer until after the vaca so I can be at peace and not worry about every little movement, feeling, etc while in another country.

  • @BusinessWife I am now taking 3 estrace orally, 2 vaginally and 1 delestrogen injection every 3 days. Originally it was just the 3 estrace orally...then added in everything else. I wonder if my lining didn't have a chance to recover after my MC...my January + February periods were fairly light...or if this is just a one-off?

  • @ashleyhj29 oh no. I noticed my lining grew a little better when I was drinking tons of water, plus all the Pom juice, beets, beef leaver - all increase production of red blood cells
  • @ashleyhj29

Ugh, I had been hoping for better news with all of the estrogen you are taking now. I do agree - better a cancelled transfer than a m/c.  Did you get a D&C for the m/c? That can effect lining quality. Good news if that is a cause, it will likely return to normal after a few months. Since you only had two cycles after your m/c, it's very possible it might not have had time to recover fully.

Study regarding lining with a history of D&C:

    https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3785913/

I had my lining check this AM and all looks good to go (around 8.3 but trilaminar which is normal for me ) so we're sticking to the schedule. I think @dukie001
and me will end up being transfer buds -- i'm scheduled for 3/19

  • @mbradfo2 Yey! Great!  We can obsess over the wait time during TWW together 🤣
  • @dukie001 @mbradfo2 rooting for you two!! Almost at the transfer date!
  • @thezaltyberger I’ve been thinking about you, hope your AF showed up and you can finally start the cycle
  • Thank you @dukie001 ❤️ but no luck yet, not even any cramps, on day 36 today :( I don’t know what to do or what’s happening. Going in for an ultrasound and blood work on Monday...
  • @thezaltyberger
I had a similar experience with my period when I was waiting to start. The ultrasound showed a large anovulatory follicle and the doctor said once that went down, my period would likely start (it was secreting hormones that were preventing my period from starting according to him). I forget whether you are coming right off the stims (so all of the follicles should have been harvested in your ER) or a break month.

  • @dukie001: congrats on your lining and transfer date!
@ashleyhj29: I'm so sorry...I was hoping with you for a great lining! Keep us posted on next check
@mbradfo2: yay lining! Wishing a great transfer
@thezaltyberger: sorry you're still waiting on Aunt Flo... being in limbo is frustrating!

My beta is end of this week. I took 3 different home tests this afternoon and all positive! One was digital and other 2 lines. Tomorrow is 14 days since trigger so I don't think it's the trigger still...but trying to not get too excited just in case. After 6 previous failed IUIs and 5 previous failed transfers I don't want to get too excited yet.
  • @vlr2015
A strong positive with a digital is awesome!! I would call your RE's office to let them know and maybe see if they want to schedule your beta earlier. FX!!

@ashleyhj29 sorry to hear about your lining. That must be a little frustrating and upsetting. Better to wait and have all your stars aligning before going ahead with a transfer. I’m interested to see if/how they will adjust your meds. Hoping for a better lining next month 🤞🏻
  • Thanks everyone! I will be getting beta Thursday...so will keep you posted.

@ashleyhj29: so sorry things didn't work out this month. Praying for next to be great!
  • @vlr2015
    Nice!! FX for thursday's results!

    @ashleyhj29
It always sucks to have to cancel and postpone, but better than transferring and getting a BFN. FX for your next cycle!

AFM Not enjoying the progesterone. Started Sunday and already getting the side effects, yay. Progesterone has always given me really intense hot flashes and just a general feeling of being hot + malaise. Plus it was actually super hot yesterday and DD wanted to play outside a bunch (plus we did sprinkler time over the weekend since it was nice). We'll probably be doing more sprinkler time today since I don't hear the landscapers outside right now. It's a great way for me to lounge on a patio chair while DD burns off energy -- yesterday we walked over to the playground and swings twice which got me sweating a bit! -- ..but with the progesterone, being outside is not much fun. So I'll be a melted mess by the end of the day.

  • @mbradfo2 same here. Yesterday I was at work and my face and left ear were burning up and then later when I was at hope my face was burning and red. I checked the temp and it was 99.3. I didn’t put it together, but now I do
  • I had my lining US check and bloodwork this morning. Everything looks good, lining is at 14mm so I’ll be starting progesterone on Thursday and transfer is scheduled for Tuesday afternoon🤞🏻☺️
  • @sfield21 wow 14mm!!! That’s awesome, I was never able to grow it that thick
  • yeah  @sfield21 holy crap! 14mm is awesome!! Mine never really budges past the 8.0 - 8.9 range. I think maybe a 9.3 once? Should be nice and cozy for your embaby!

  • Well it explains my fairly heavy periods! 😩😒
  • @sfield21
Lol, I was gonna ask about that! I usually have pretty light periods -- one day of heavy-ish pad changing and then the rest is just spotting.

  • @mbradfo2 I usually wear tampons but the first day or two I’m burning through super tampons and soaking a pad almost every hour. It’s extremely annoying. It’s definitely been heavier since having my daughter and I’m sure the estrogen plumping meds aren’t helping these last few months.
  • Hey guys!
Those who take Medrol prior to transfer, do you take it 5 days prior to FET or on the day of FET too
  • Wow @sfield21 14mm go you!!!! Hang in there with the progesterone, almost there!

AFM AF FINALLY showed up with no warning Sunday night on day 38!!! Man do I feel relieved. I cancelled the Monday morning bloodwork/ultrasound and I’m starting letrizol tonight. Nice to finally take action.
  • @thezaltyberger Yes!! That’s great news!! Wow, what a long road to start a cycle. Happy that you’re able to start up again! 👏🏻☺️
  • @thezaltyberger Yeeey! Even though it took forever, it’s nice to actually start the process. I never heard of Letrizol, what does it do? Is it estrogen medication?
  • @thezaltyberger
It was lurking there all along...! What's your schedule now?
