March Symptoms

Re: March Symptoms

  • Looks like lots of us without many symptoms. Maybe we are late bloomers? Last two days have been extremely “burpy” for me lol, so that’s a start. One day at a time ☺️.

  • @sliztee I just gave my husband an ultimatum to get a new mattress before I get that far along! I was so miserable at the very end with sciatica.
  • @sliztee The hip pain was KILLER for me! And it started at the beginning of my second trimester! I hear glute exercises help a lot with that, so I've been trying to get some squats in as I can.
  • I am super struggling. The spotting came back and prior to today I was having some nausea and now that is gone. Logical me knows that spotting can happen and everything be fine but its really a mind F when it happens.

  • @teamginger13 I'm so sorry, that struggle really does mess with your mind.  Is there any way your dr could get you in earlier just to soothe your worries a bit? I know a lot of doctors will if they know you are really stressed about it. Sending comfort your way ❤
  • @teamginger13 Seconded, I would see if your doctor will see you sooner just to hopefully give you some peace of mind. I hope you're able to find some calm and reassurance in the meantime.

@teamginger13 I'm sorry you're still having spotting - any blood is just super disconcerting. I spoke with my doctor this morning and he didn't seem phased at the amount of blood. I was told unless I was filling a pad an hour or having severe cramping then I shouldn't worry too much. I could have gone for an ultrasound but I have one scheduled for Tuesday so I am just going to wait until then unless it worsens. I agree that if it is causing you lots of stress see if your doctor can get you in.

@artsiefartsie I have no experience as this is my first pregnancy but I know most of my pregnant friends have said they didn't have many symptoms until weeks 7 or 8. I understand wanting the symptoms for some reassurance - hopefully little bean is just giving you a chance to ease in before they spring everything on your in the next couple of weeks :)

  • @mkp0903 We upgraded to a king-sized bed when I was pregnant with Arlo! Loved the space (especially with a giant pregnancy pillow), but still had a ton of hip pain regardless of how comfortable the mattress is. Womp.

@amostpeculiarmlle Now that you mention it, my hip pain might have began in the second trimester as well. As referenced above, we got the new mattress when I was around 20 weeks. Yikes. I'm going to try some prenatal yoga for hip stretches when the time comes!

@teamginger13 I'm so sorry your headspace is clouded with worry. I can't imagine how it must feel to experience what you're going through. Big hugs <3
  • My sense of smell is through the roof! The other day, I smelled my son’s dirty diaper from a room away, and I can’t go into our mud room without being overpowered by the smell of rubber boots 😂
  • Keep getting painful gas bubbles but no gas today 😂
  • Nausea has most DEFINITELY arrived now. This freaking sucks but at the same time it’s reassuring lol I want to throw up so bad (I keep gagging) but I’m worried about the baby not getting it’s nutrients - anyone else have this mindframe?

  • @jackie_dunny yes I have a very similar mindset, but mostly I just hate throwing up, and even when not pregnant once I start throwing up my body doesn't want to stop.  😆

My last doc explained that even if you throw up right after eating that your body almost never gets rid of everything,  it only gets rid of about half so you are usually getting some nutrients.  And the baby takes everything before you get any so the baby will be fine.

It made me feel better about the vomiting lol
  • @jackie_dunny @artsiefartsie Chiming in to say your bean will be just fine, even if you’re struggling to keep things down. Crackers and bread are your friend, and maybe blend up some fruit/leafy greens with water into a smoothie? Maybe drinking your nutrients through a straw will help 😂
  • I started getting pretty dizzy last night, and I think I’m ok with it, I guess it can be normal after some extensive googling. My hubby sat on my glasses last night, so currently have my frames electrical taped and not at all straight. Mix the dizzies with my very wonky vision, and this is just a hoot. Now I can’t tell if I’ve started morning nausea or if it’s a side effect of all the vertigo 😂 still craving obscene amounts of seafood!

@sliztee good call on drinking nutrients! I hope that works for you @jackie_dunny I’m glad you’re reassured now at least!
  • @usedtobeknottie I get vertigo/inner ear issues when I'm pregnant too. I totally feel your pain.
  • @artsiefartsie thank you for the reassurance! It wasn’t something I expected at all
  • @usedtobeknottie I’ve been getting occasional dizziness as well! Usually drink a glass of water helps me!

DH is currently on his way home from work picking me up some crackers and I added sausage to the list because I’m suddenly really craving it 🤤 will make sure it’s throughly cooked first!

And thanks for the reassurance about the nausea @artsiefartsie and @sliztee definitely makes me feel better

  • I have been having some kooky dreams which interrupt my sleep - I also wake up super sweaty. Totally fun. I've been taking magnesium before bed to try to help with this and I think it's working somewhat although it's not foolproof, obviously. Before I started taking the magnesium I would wake up in the middle of the night and stay up so it's an improvement over that.
  • @eggsandwich2019 Unisom works wonders for keeping me asleep and is perfectly fine to take during pregnancy.
  • @jackie_dunny you could eat like, a single egg a day and your baby would be fine. Relax, girl. Lol
  • Mmm...eggsss 🤤
  • @doodleoodle I misread your post and thought I missed some news that pregnant women were only supposed to have 1 egg a day now 🤣

    I'm on a 2 or 3 a day kick lately 🤤

I had to reread it too  :D
  • I do love a good egg! Somedays I can eat them and others the texture makes me gag. @jackie_dunny I completely agree with feeling reassured by the nausea! I hate it but also I know it means a growing baby.

I have been having such bad gas pain, at least I think that's what it is, I'll get sharp pains under my ribs and upper abdomen. I also am able to rival DH with my burping and farting!

  • Sorry, guys! Eat all of the eggs you can stomach
  • @usedtobeknottie Even when I'm not pregnant, I sometimes get dizzy spells from low blood pressure, and as @jackie_dunny said, a glass of water and sitting down for a bit is usually enough to let it pass. I'm not sure if that's specifically the cause of what you're experiencing, but at the very least some water and rest likely couldn't hurt!
  • @eggsandwich2019 my husband was taking magnesium at night and stopped because it was causing night sweats.
  • Has anyone experienced chills? I dont feel sick just every now and then I get a wave of chills coursing through my body, even under my weighted blanket
  • edited March 2021
@sonovia I was freezing cold for my entire 5th week straight and I still get chills off and on lately. I’m not sure how normal it is, but you’re not alone there!

@mayoduck thank you, the water did seem to help a bit this morning
  • el_3el_3 member
@sonovia @usedtobeknottie You’re not alone! I’ve had some chills and felt really cold off and on all last week as well.
  • The chills are likely from an elevated BBT. I’ve been having them, too! I slept under two comforters last night.
  • I also bounce between freezing and then super hot.  My internal thermostat apparently wants me at a very precise temp 😆
  • Thanks for the feedback ladies. Glad to know Im not alone @doodleoodle @leigh_4 @usedtobeknottie
  • I didn't even think about chills as a possible symptom (I'm often cold) but now you all have me wondering if I have been feeling a bit colder than usual (as I sit here under my blanket with heated slippers on and still feeling chilly)!
  • I guess I’m experiencing some brain fog. Thought I had started dinner but discovered I didn’t plug in the crock pot.
  • Ugh the nausea is just low grade and constant at this point, and it peaks first thing in the morning and in the evening.  Eating/snacking helps for a bit but absolutely nothing sounds good.  Blegh
  • @usedtobeknottie I got horrible vertigo in my last pregnancy. It was the worst towards the end though. I’d stand up and everything would just spin. Thankfully it went away after I delivered.

@artsiefartsie add me to the mild nausea that lasts all day. I thought this morning it was worse because I was anxious for my US but it didn’t go away even after I saw everything looked great. Trying a smoothie for lunch since the cold seems to help.

I totally ended up ordering a new mattress. Going to put the old one in the guest bedroom, but now I have to get a new bed since the old one is a queen and the old mattress is a king. Maybe my sister will stop complaining about having to sleep on a queen when she comes to visit.
