Re: Weekly check-in 2/14
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: banana
Upcoming appointments: 24th with my OB
How are you feeling?: Feeling ok. Life is chugging along nicely. Our region is coming out of a lockdown on Tuesday which is nice....not that I'm going anywhere but still knowing I have options if I need to grab something and not having to do online is nice.
Rants/Raves: My son has had fecal incontinence secondary to a partial obstruction from constipation for a few months. Finally after xrays, ultrasounds, diet changes, a specialist and heavy laxatives he is finally back to using the potty. We have a long treatment plan ahead of us but hes finally feeling better and I'm not changing underpants 24/7! Laundry should finally slow the heck down.
Questions: natm
GTKY: What are some of your hobbies? The last year has been crazy and honestly I miss doing things for me. I used to do kickboxing and I loved it but....covid. I feel like my hobbies currently consist of dishes, laundry and snack maker.
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: an artichoke
Upcoming appointments: detailed scan on the 25th!! Cannot wait!
How are you feeling?: big and tired!
Rants/Raves: idk still too cold to play outside so I’m feeling so sorry for my little guy - he is bouncing off the walls.
Questions: natm
@tiggywiggles said - I used to have hobbies but covid has stolen them (although tbh I don’t think I would be interested in doing a ballet class right now anyway lol). My mum keeps telling me I need an indoor hobby like painting or something crafty but I just can’t get into it. Or I’ll buy all the stuff then ditch it like a week later.
@tiggywiggles Oh your poor son!! That sounds awful, so glad you are back to the potty!!
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: artichoke
Upcoming appointments: US & MFM 2/25
How are you feeling?: ok finally - headaches if I don’t stay well hydrated and feel like the covid fatigue is really setting in but that’s not pregnancy related
Rants/Raves: yesterday was a rough day - my hubby and I weren’t on the same page and was feeling down on myself. Timely text message from a friend and email from a student helped to cheer me up.
Questions: none
GTKY: What are some of your hobbies
I also feel like I used to have hobbies! I love to travel anywhere and everywhere. I used to do fun and creative things with friends like once a month and loved to try new things that give you an adrenaline rush. Those are difficult as is when pregnant (no one seems to want to let you do anything) but coupled with covid have been feeling like I haven’t had any me time in almost a year. That’s where the fatigue is really starting to set in I think! But same thing everyone else is going through! Just hard as a person who fills their cup around others not in the comfort of their own home.
@t@tiggywiggles I’m glad it finally seems like there is light at the end of the tunnel with your son! That sounds like it was rough for all for quite some time!
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: an artichoke
Upcoming appointments: Anatomy scan Thursday!
How are you feeling?: Hungry all the time
Rants/Raves: A bit of both: I’m so looking forward to my A/S, especially because DH is allowed to come for this appointment. But, we’re slated to get 3-5 inches of snow that morning. It’s still a few days away so hopefully the weather shifts by then!
Questions: No
GTKY: What are some of your hobbies? Hiking and watching reality TV shows. I’m quite well rounded over here, ha.
@tiggywiggles I’m glad you have some answers and a recovery plan! I hope your son is feeling better too.

Just copied @cammie0526’s first 3 answers 😅 thanks!
R/R: DH got to feel baby kick yesterday and I’d forgotten how fun it is to share that with him! I hope it makes it feel more real for him.
Questions: natm
GTKY: I’m really terrible at hobbies, I need inspiration! I just just picked up a cross stitching kit because I need something to do in front of the tv instead of mindless phone scrolling. I love board games but we never seem to have the energy. In the summer it’s a bit easier, I like hiking and being outside. Oh and I do like home projects and woodworking.
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a pomegranate
Upcoming appointments: ob on 3/8, as 3/12
How are you feeling?: Feeling pretty good! I was having what I think was RLP last night but it didn’t last long.
Rants/Raves: We painted the nursery this weekend so that’s fun. I would like to start buying the furniture so I can get it in there and decide on what other decorations etc would look good with everything. I guess nesting has started a bit!
Questions: NATM
GTKY: What are some of your hobbies? Mostly watching tv at this point unfortunately. I usually like reading a lot and MH and I will play board games sometimes too. I also enjoy cross stitching and am trying to find one I can do for the baby that will look good in the nursery.

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: mango
Upcoming appointments: AS on Monday, regular ob on 3/8
How are you feeling?: feeling so much more movement now and I love it. Feeling better overall. But I need to remember to eat more often
Rants/Raves: we had sushi for Valentine’s Day and it was DELICIOUS!!! Except due to covid they discontinued their all you can eat special which made me sad, I hope they bring it back after covid
Questions:
GTKY: What are some of your hobbies? I love theatre, both making it and watching it but obviously that’s a no right now. I love to bake and travel
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: sweet potato
Upcoming appointments: Telehealth visit tomorrow (my regular appt got changed because of my DH’s covid diagnosis), then AS on 3/3
How are you feeling?: definitely in that sweet spot right now. Indigestion and post nasal drip are just a daily occurrence now, so I’m used to it. Def getting more sore by the evenings, but overall I feel pretty decent. I’m feeling more and more movement too, which is so fun. Definitely my favorite part of being pregnant.
Rants/Raves: so we are hanging in there re: covid. DH is still isolated on the second floor, and it getting cabin fever for sure. The kids and I are doing good. I got a rapid test and it was negative, then my kids’ got PCR tests and those came back negative. My OB still wanted me to get a PCR test, so I’m waiting on those results still. So far so good though. Definitely not out of the woods yet. DH’s isolation ends 2/22 so only a couple more days until I can feel a bit more at ease!
Questions:
GTKY: What are some of your hobbies? I love graphic design and running my side business (Etsy shop). I also really enjoy cooking and trying new recipes.
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: endive
Upcoming appointments: check up on Monday
How are you feeling?: I feel great!
Rants/Raves: rave - our state's cases are below 2%, so they opened hospital and congregate care visits to level 1 (the lowest before absolutely no restrictions). I am hoping this holds or gets even better by July so I can have my husband and mom in the delivery room and maybe (hopefully) have my older 2 come visit the new baby in the hospital.
Questions: none
GTKY: What are some of your hobbies? i don't think I have any.... I do enjoy reading and used to be in a book club (but friends moved out of state and made it harder to do).
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: asparagus I think
Upcoming appointments: I had one today to check cervical length and had part of my anatomy scan after. I go back in a week for another length check and the rest of the anatomy scan - the tech couldn’t see some stuff
How are you feeling?: Emotional. My cervix shortened by a lot in two weeks so I’m having a cerclage placed tomorrow
Rants/Raves:
Questions: Has anyone had a cerclage? How did it go?
GTKY: What are some of your hobbies? I love to read and enjoy sewing. Last year I read 60 books and am hoping to break that this year
@bntfroggie I'm a stay at home mom and my kid started daycare two weeks ago lol. He loves it and it's been great for him to get the socialization he's been missing out on during the pandemic.
Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: July 8th / 20w +3d
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: banana?
Upcoming appointments: Fetal MRI on Monday (follow up from anatomy scan a week ago), regular monthly checkup on Tuesday.
How are you feeling?: Pregnancy wise pretty good. Lots of movement from baby, which I love
. I've either got the start of seasonal allergies or pregnancy related congestion (likely both), so I'm constantly sneezing and blowing my nose, fun (had two instances of a bloody nose, which has only ever happened to me while pregnant lol).
Rants/Raves: It's not really a rant, but I wish I was more active in this group. Just so much happening psychologically/emotionally with my dad's recent cancer diagnosis and now what could or could not be an issue with baby that I've kind of shut down so I don't get overly stressed, anxious, etc.
Questions: Anyone have any experience getting a fetal MRI, or any MRI for that matter? I've been quite anxious about it and have dealt by avoiding thinking or discussing it lol.
GTKY: What are some of your hobbies? I don't have any ongoing hobbies, I tend to have spurts of interests that I obsess about, then it fizzles out until the next interest. Right now I'm really into day trading on the stock market. And by my track record so far, I should quickly find another hobby LOL.
so far is successful. I do not have personal experience but have a friend who required one with her last baby and all went well and her daughter is a healthy toddler now.
I’m on “limited activity” for a month but it’s nothing too different. I won’t be doing any heavy cleaning, things like that. Also pelvic rest. I’m a bit crampy and sore so just trying to take it as easy as I can having two toddlers lol but H said he’d take a sick day for me tomorrow if I needed it. I’m done bleeding though so hopefully will be feeling normal tomorrow!
