  • @claireloSC it's from an SNL skit parodying US! ....OMG I haven't seen Us, because I am bad at scary movies and I just watched the preview and even that was too much.😱
  • I’m such a scaredy cat. I don’t watch anything scary. We are watching Virgin River on Netflix and they only just alluded to this guys death last night and I hated it!

  • Scaredy cat here too! The other night MH started watching New Mutants (which is described as a superhero horror film) while I was in the basement with him. I had to get him to walk me up to our bedroom because I was too scared to go up alone. And that was just being in the same room as a scary movie, I was looking at my phone and eating snacks.

@emmylou78 which season of Virgin River are you on??
  • @pickle-chips I’m on the next to last episode of season 2.

  • @BourbonBiscuits I also had to step back a little due to my anxiety getting the best of me, you're not alone! Glad you got to hear the heartbeat again and that that's helped a little.

@claireloSC congrats on the house, that's so exciting! I can't imagine how frustrating that must've been to get so close to closing and have it fall through.
  • @emmylou78 i used the Haakaa with my other babies and its totally worth it! i already have an extra!
  • You and I both, friend. I’ve been pretty absent from our other shared group too.
  • ^^ @BourbonBiscuits man I suck at this, been too long since I’ve properly bumped!
  • @claireloSC, SO exciting!! We had planned to sell and buy this summer...but with prices being what they are, we decided to wait. The housing market in my area is INSANE right now! Congrats on the house, and I hope things work out like you're hoping!!
  • I am getting a coffee aversion and so every time the GTKY about coffee shows up, I feel a little bit nauseous. So crazy! The notifications for unread replies is haunting me but I can’t open it!

  • @emmylou78  Sorry that was me!  Lol
Crazy how just thinking about it can affect you!
  • Thank you @cyanope and @the_most_happy! We signed today and awaiting on the seller to sign their side. Market is sooooo crazy here for sure. Even in winter it's 20% higher than last winter. We made 7 offers over the summer and only had one accepted. Every house was going like 50k over asking. Just pure insanity.

  • I participated @bonanza1226! The aversion has only come up in the past few days! 🤷🏻‍♀️ Hormones ugh.

  • That’s exciting @claireloSC! We just moved in august. I sold my house, moved, and got married in the same week! We had 9 showings in 9 days and had an offer on the 9th day. Bummer was it took 2 months to close just because the banks are all backlogged from covid. It took 2 months to close on our new house too. I certainly didn’t get 50k over asking, but I made a profit nonetheless.

  • @claireloSC 🥳 so exciting! I hope the sellers sign their side and you can breathe a sigh of relief soon! I did not enjoy house shopping/the stress of closing at all and that wasn’t even in a pandemic.
  • @claireloSC congratulations!!  So exciting for y’all!!
We are buying a house too and should close mid-February!!  It’s been a long process, at one point we were one of 33 offers!! 😱
  •  @claireloSC eek! Congrats on the house! Fingers and toes crossed for you!!
  • @claireloSC YAY! We just bought our first house in July and it was such a tough road. Fingers crossed all goes smoothly!!
  • Thank you guys so much!! <3 The house process is seriously so stressful!

  • Oh man I had 2 very vivid dreams last night. One was an explosion and the other a stabbing.  Almost went and crawled into bed with MH scared like a toddler 😴
  • "The World Health Organization released new guidance about Moderna Inc.’s Covid-19 vaccine this week, recommending generally against the use of the vaccine during pregnancy except in those at high risk of exposure or having a severe case.
“In the interim, WHO recommends not to use mRNA-1273 in pregnancy, unless the benefit of vaccinating a pregnant woman outweighs the potential vaccine risks, such as in health workers at high risk of exposure and pregnant women with co-morbidities placing them in a high-risk group for severe Covid-19,” the guidance said. The agency said its recommendations would be updated as more data become available.https://www.wsj.com/articles/who-recommends-against-moderna-pfizer-vaccines-for-most-pregnant-women-11611775138?mod=e2tw

Not sure how to feel about this guidance, but wanted to share for those considering the vaccine. Not that I've been offered it yet, but I am not sure which way I will go. Would love to have it but it makes me uncomfortable that kids aren't able to get it but I would be giving it to my baby.

  • @claireloSC I saw that report as well. So many unknowns with the vaccine, I wouldn't feel comfortable receiving it while pregnant. Not that I've been offered. Now, if I were not pregnant? Sign me up!

  • @MegStark Yes if was not pregnant and got offered it, I would definitely go for it.

  • @claireloSC The amount of conflicting information is so frustrating. I just had my 12 week appt today and my doc cleared me to get the vaccine. I've been trying to schedule an appointment online all day since. I'm still inclined to get it if and when I can. Pregnant women classify as a high risk group, so I'm able to register.
  • @surrenderdorothy same, and i actually got the moderna vaccine already at 9 weeks. it stressed me out but i'm in southern california where the numbers are crazy, and i'm waiting to begin a job in a hospital soon, so i talked to my OB and decided to get it. this new info doesn't make me feel great but ultimately i was more concerned about the unknowns of COVID vs the vaccine. but yea it's highly highly personal.
  • @claireloSC thanks for posting it. its so hard to know what to do. i cancelled my dose in December. I might get my first one in second or early third trimester. I know people go both ways on it. No right answer.
  • @claireloSC any news on your house?!
  • @emmylou78 I’ve started getting a coffee aversion as well. When I make it for my husband the strong aroma makes me nauseous.

I’ve decided I’m going to wait on the Covid-19 vaccine, I’m a SAHM and I don’t go anywhere. But I just learned that my rubella antibodies didn’t show up on my blood work (which I had no idea they were checking for). So the doctor asked if I wanted to do another test that’s more sensitive (assuming she means a titer?) but if that’s negative I’ll need the series after baby arrives. Which now I have more questions would I need to get the MMR series again or is there a booster?
  • @claireloSC Very exciting about the house!  Such a stressful process.  We built a house about 4.5 years ago and that was the worst.  I hope it all works out for you!!!!! So exciting.

I am also holding off on getting the vaccine.  My cousin (who is trying to get pregnant) keeps sending me all of these articles about how it's fine for pregnant women to get the vaccine. I already told her I wasn't getting it so it's starting to get on my nerves.  My GP and my OB both advised me not to get it (I exclusively work from home) and I feel more comfortable making decisions with them than what my cousin gets from the internet.  I've started ignoring her texts when she sends them hoping she'll get the hint.
