Rants/Raves: This week we have the preconstruction meeting for our house and I’m so excited! Our basement is going in first week of February! I’m a little nervous about keeping our house clean for showings though.

This also made me think that being pregnant during girls scout cookie season AND king cake season (south Louisiana here) is not the worst thing in the world....

@law_and_little1 I feel you on the either constipated or opposite at all times. Fun fun. As far as Sneak Peek goes, the one you just do from home I think can be pretty inaccurate and easily contaminated. Getting a NIPT test from your Dr or a lab would be much more reliable but can be expensive if it's not covered.

Rants/Raves: So glad to have DS back at daycare today. He was a beast yesterday and usually I can count on the fact that he will be back to a somewhat normal toddler by morning but this morning everything seemed to just carry over.

@krash_ My nausea definitely hits me worse in the evenings. I keep wondering if its related to maybe not paying attention to how much/often I’m eating later in the day, or ignoring my hydration. But I track everything I eat/drink and it seems to all be consistent, so I guess my body just hates the evenings.
@chewie5990 A new nephew how exciting! We designated one person we could trust to tell (neither of us could hold it in), and will be telling our parents after the first scan.

Upcoming appointments: 2/11 for u/s and first prenatal visit
How are you feeling?: Pretty OK overall. Mild cramps and nausea mostly (huge wave of nausea to the point where I had to roll down the window in the car and breathe freezing cold air on Sunday, but just the once). Breast pain seems to have subsided for bit. Fatigue is definitely real and when it hits its like a ton of bricks out of nowhere.
Rants/Raves: I was NOT in the mood to go out and run in 15-degree weather this morning, but I also didn’t want to go to the spider-filled basement and run on the treadmill. I wound up walking around my bedroom in circles for an hour instead to make sure I still got up and moved. I told my husband when he got home, and he just went down cellar with the shopvac, Swiffer, and tons of Lysol wipes to clean the workout corner for me. He knows how much I love going out for a run, and said he wanted to make sure I’m comfortable inside so I don’t have to freeze outside. He’s earned some bonus points today.

Upcoming appointments: Switching practices because I learned at my intake appointment last week that they don't deliver at the hospital that is closest to me. I live a little out in the country, so to reduce the liklihood of being one of those moms who delivers in their car, I'd rather deliver at the hospital 20 minutes closer lol. In the long run, I doubt 20 minutes will make a big difference, but it will still put my mind at ease. Because they did a "viability" ultrasound at the old practice, they don't need to see me until Feb. 15th. I hate the waiting game!
How are you feeling?: ok so.... slightly better today than I have been feeling *knock on wood*
Rants/Raves: I told my sisters we were considering Team Green (not finding out the sex until birth) and one of my sisters looked like I slapped her in the face. Is anyone else considering Team Green?

Our currently move-in timeline is looking like March. Building a house is SO much fun! I hope all goes well for y'all as well!

Upcoming appointments: I had to reschedule my US last Thursday because my sitter canceled on me last minute and I’m not allowed to bring kids to the appointment right now. The next available slot they had is next week Tuesday (2/2). Then I have my phone consult on 2/11.
How are you feeling?: awful. Morning sickness can in full throttle over the weekend. I didn’t get out of bed at all on Saturday. I’m also having horrible headaches. And I’m so so tired. I go to bed right after I put my kids down so I can get about 12 hours of sleep at night.
Rants/Raves: My rant is just the morning sickness. It’s a love/hate relationship. Hate for obvious reasons and love because as long as I’m feeling crappy I feel like things are going well with LO. I’d be pretty freaked out if I woke up with no nausea.

Upcoming appointments: u/s Thursday followed by a tele-appointment. I am so scared of the baby not having a heartbeat or something else being wrong.
How are you feeling?: Ok. I tend to feel icky and fatigued at night. I was in bed around 9 on Saturday, and that was after a 2 hour nap in the afternoon. I felt queasy this AM but it could also have been nerves about my teaching observation. Overall, the lack of nausea in the AM is freaking me out big time.
Rants/Raves: Nothing much. Trying to finish up report cards and I will treat myself to Bridgerton when I'm all done!!

How are you feeling?: Overall, I’ve been good. Tired and a bit of cramping, but that’s it. This morning though I felt awful. I felt like I was hungover. It’s better now. I’m also gassy as all hell and have been having really vivid and weird dreams.
Rants/Raves: My husband has been amazing. I’m so tired all the time that he’s essentially been doing 100% of the housework and cooking a lot more with zero complaints. This morning, I mentioned that I was craving butter croissant and then he brought some home after his dentist appointment.

GTKY: Which Girl Scout cookie is your favorite? I’m in Canada, so we have Girl Guide cookies and they’re Thin Mints or sandwich cookies (although maybe there are other regional varieties in other parts of the country? These are the only ones I know of here). Thin Mints are definitely the winner.
@krash_ If you ever get a chance to try a shawarma, I totally recommend it. It's like a middle eastern version of a taco using a pita wrap.
@JustAnotherUsername16 we likely will be team green again (we were for the first two as well). For DD, we were both convinced we were having a boy, so I was really surprised (in a good way) that time! I enjoy the surprise and then all our baby gifts were more practical as neutral clothes were apparently hard to find... I actually had to do a big shop for girl clothes once I had DD, but who doesn't like shopping for baby clothes?
@sawasap yeah I didn't know there were any other kinds of GS cookies until my last BMB! Canada is kinda out of the loop on that one. Although, the US doesn't have Smarties or Coffee Crisp chocolate bars, surprisingly.
@nasalot188 I hear you about kids driving you crazy! DS shots were postponed for 2 months and once he got them he was crazy for the rest of the week. I haven't had any outside help with the kids since September and our province is in a permanent sort of household-only lockdown with no signs of covid numbers changing. When DS was crazy last week, I felt like bawling Every. Single. Day.

How are you feeling?: I feel great first thing in the morning. Around 7 the nausea hits, which is pretty mild. Then I hit a point of utter starvation and thirst. Followed by horrible bloating and gas. Mostly though I am just completely exhausted.
Rants/Raves: My husband has been exceptionally helpful over the past week when my exhaustion has hit the hardest. He has taken over naptime and bedtime for our son which is by far my least favorite thing.

Rants/Raves: Just want to rave about DH a little bit! Since finding out about my SCH yesterday morning and being told to “take it easy”, DH literally has me basically chained to the couch. He is doing EVERYTHING! Like I already thought he was doing everything, but he is so determined to have me do absolutely nothing that he doesn’t even want me to get up and fill up my water bottle haha. He’s just the best. He’s the one who made me my buttered noodles last night after making an entirely separate dinner for us already.

We don't have nearly as many flavors as the US, so it's really sad. There's Classic or Mint Chocolatey cookies. I prefer the mint ones out of those 2, which is similar to your Thin Mints, but I think I would prefer our mint cookies.
