People who spot before their periods regularly - have you spotted before a BFP?

Hi everyone. I’m another mom TTC (3rd child). I spot regularly 2-3 days before my periods - it’s been that way since before I had my first two children. We conceived them without the use of any meds, so it seems like there isn’t a hormonal issue causing the spotting. And I’m not here about finding the cause of the spotting - I’ve discussed it with my doctor already. I’m here because I’m wondering if anyone who regularly spots before every period has ever spotted like their period was coming, but then gotten a BFP a few days later. This happened to me in what turned out to be my first pregnancy (and I 100% thought it was AF coming). I thought, once I got my BFP, that it must’ve been implantation bleeding. And maybe it was. But I’m wondering if early period spotting can still happen if the egg hasn’t implanted yet - but then when the egg implants and hcg starts to build up, the spotting “turns off.” Thoughts on this? Has this happened to anyone?

    It's against TOU to ask if you're pregnant, even in a roundabout way. Take a test if you think you might be KU.

    If you are close enough to AF to spot, couldn't you also turn a test?
     But no, that never happened to me. I just had a d&c for polyps and it seemed like I spotted much less, fwiw

    Thanks for letting me know. Let me be clear. I’m not asking if I’m pregnant. I know that no one here can tell me that. I am literally trying to specifically find out if anyone who spots regularly has ever spotted like their period is coming and then gotten a BFP a few days later. I am loosely testing a theory, not asking for someone to tell me if I’m pregnant or not.

    yes - this time around I’m pretty sure AF is coming. 🙄 I’m only 7 days dpo (my cycle is short - 22 days - which is why I’m close enough to be period spotting), so I’m not sure a pregnancy test would register yet.

    @mvt2003 thank you for the constructive, not snarky, advice. This was my first post ever in these forums and I just went with the board that matched my current situation (trying to get pregnant). You are right, however, that I probably could find a more well-suited board. I'll definitely take your advice. 
    That said - I'm sorry if I upset or triggered anyone, I was just trying to find out about people's experiences. I'd delete the post if I could figure out how.
