Baby girl names

My niece is named Layla, but I really love the name Lyla. Is that weird to use a name so similar? Would you be mad if someone named their baby similar to yours?

    Go for it. They are similar but still different names. It’s not like they’re siblings who will spend every day together and possibly cause confusion. I would suggest Lila just because I feel like it’s the more common spelling (ie, they won’t forever be correcting people’s spelling of it).

    If you aren’t that close and have lots of nieces and nephews, go for it. But if it’s a cousin you expect her to be close to, I wouldn’t do it.

    I think it's cute that their names are similar. I wouldn't be mad if someone name was close to mine.
