Sleep issues (me, not LO)

I cannot get used to this whole sleeping thing, and its been a month!

I've never been much of a napper, I always did better getting all my sleep at once. But now, since I get up with DD at night, I nap during the day when she does. Seeing as it still doesn't add up to much sleep, I'm surprise I'm actually having trouble sleeping at night!

Now DD sleeps a few good chunks during the night, but when she (and DH) fall asleep, I have trouble getting to sleep, which means I'm behind a few hours and when DD wakes up for good in the morning, I'll be dead tired.

Its so frustrating because it seemed easier in the beginning, and now its just catching up to me! I hate laying in bed for hours watching the clock :(

I wish LO could be STTN age, but not be that old yet because I like her being little. I also do enjoy the night feedings and the time we get alone to cuddle :) So I guess I can find the positives of walking around like a sleep-deprived zombie LOL

  • Maybe it is time to take a good look at what your routine is. For instance, the bed is for sleeping and not for reading or tv watching. Maybe you can take a hot shower before bed time? or do something you find relaxing?

  • I am with you girl.  I am just trying to remember that it won't last forever.  It is 3:45 and I am still up, my DD has been asleep for several hours.  I am waiting for her to get up for her last feeding.  I hope you get some rest.
