Upcoming appointments: first prenatal appointment tomorrow and NT scan on Thursday - also finally getting the crack in my tooth fixed Tuesday wahoo!

How are you feeling?: a lot better - still tired but eating normally again which is so helpful.

Rants/Raves: just a bit happy to be getting back to normal routines again tomorrow - although I’ll probably be regretting I said that by dinner time tomorrow lol

Questions: I swear I have been feeling baby the past few days - seems too early?? Anybody felt baby this early before?

How are you feeling?: ok. My yeast infection seems to be getting better, and I am almost done with the abx for my UTI. My nausea is better - it comes and goes, and I think what was really triggering it was my indigestion. Ever since I started Pepcid it’s gotten progressively better.

Rants/Raves: Tomorrow DS goes back to school. I am unsure how I feel. I sort of wish they started back remote for a few weeks, but he is only there Mon/Tues then remote the rest of the week. DD’s daycare is closed for the week due to a Covid case, so I get a whole day with just her tomorrow.

GTKY: What is your New Year's resolution and how is it going so far? Just taking it day by day. 2020 was enough of a crap year, I’m going in with LOW standards for 2021.

@canucklehead123 I swear I felt it last night going to bed. I felt light tapping in my lower abdomen, like below my belly button. Tapped like 4-5 times then didn’t feel it again. Seems so so early though!

How are you feeling?: So extremely tired still. Plus I’ve gotten some post nasal drip going on now which is irritating my throat so that’s fun.

Rants/Raves: I’ve worked 120 hours the past 2 weeks but finally had this weekend off which felt amazing. I’ve done literally nothing but lay on the couch and watch real housewives today.

Upcoming appointments: Jan 14 we have an elective ultrasound and my first real prenatal visit after that. Planning on telling DD that day!

How are you feeling?: been better lol just so sick of being sick all the time. And sick of being grossed out by everything. The texture of my skin, the way my hair feels in the shower, the way literally everything smells, I’m just grossed out by everything. I feel mentally in the dumps a little that I can’t seem to find any relief. It wasn’t this difficult with my first and she was TOUGH

Rants/Raves: I guess how I’m feeling is also a rant lol. I have to say that my being sick has made my DH and DD best buds which is nice to see. All day long she yells “daaaddddyyy” for this or that. Tonight she wanted to eat dinner with him in her room all by themselves. Normally that would hurt my feelings but it feels good to be able to go unnoticed for a while and sleep through some of the nausea/exhaustion.

How are you feeling?: ok most of the time. I'm getting headaches which sets off bouts of nausea. I'm really ready for the second trimester energy which is currently no where in sight

Rants/Raves: Schools are all online this week which I'm stressing about. A grade 2, SK doing online learning plus my 2 year old running around while my husband is on zoom calls all day. Wish me luck!

@canucklehead123 Yay for getting your tooth fixed! I’m sure it’s a relief to get that taken care of. Also, I started thinking I felt baby move around 11 weeks too. I disregarded it as way too early, but I’ve been getting more prominent feelings so I don’t know, maybe it’s possible? Can’t wait until that first unmistakable one though 🥰.

@pharmd93 Wow, what a busy workload you’ve hard! Glad you were able to fully relax this weekend.

How are you feeling?: Don’t want to jinx myself, but I think I’m finally turning the corner on the first trimester nausea and fatigue. I’m back to cooking, cleaning and changing poop diapers; I think my husband is very happy 🤣

Rants/Raves: The Bump app has been so buggy for me, argh 😣.

Questions: When does 2nd trimester officially start? Why do I keep thinking it’s 12 weeks and then am shocked that it’s 14 weeks (same thing happened last pregnancy lol).

GTKY: What is your New Year's resolution and how is it going so far? I don’t really do specific resolutions, just sort of a reflection of my priorities and a reset of my habits and routines. So far it’s going well, and I’m pretty hopeful about some new habits I want to implement.

@navete I was at my doctor on Monday and asked if I was officially in second tri (was 12+2) and she said yes, and I was also cleared to have my dental work! I was confused too cause the bump app says 14 weeks but I think my doctor knows best lol!

@canucklehead123 I think there is some discrepancy most say between 12-14wks is the start of the second tri.

@navete I felt my second start to move around 16wks so you are almost there!! I love the first little nudges!

@navete I am also trying so hard not to peek at the NIPS test. Knowing I can just click a button and see it is such a terrible temptation!!! I know I'll be so mad at myself if i do it though.

@navete @canucklehead123 @bntfroggie I feel occasional bubble/flutters at night when I am laying down too but I'm 15 weeks tomorrow so probably still just gas bubbles. I am hoping in a week or 2 to really start to feel baby though!!

How are you feeling?: Great. If we hadn't been trying, I would really have no indication I was pregnant other than the missed periods.

Rants/Raves: We're going to rip up the carpets in the bedrooms upstairs and put in new flooring, and there's a big unfinished room in the basement that we're going to frame out and finish as an office/playroom. We're going to pick up the flooring and lumber this weekend. I love a good renovation project!

How are you feeling?: pretty good. I don’t want to speak too soon but I think the fatigue is easing up.

Rants/Raves: baby behaved so perfectly for the ultrasound yesterday! It amazes me how much they change between 8 and 12 weeks.

Upcoming appointments: Just had one yesterday! NT scan was good and got NIPT blood draw too. Met my high risk OB and she was amazing. I’m starting progesterone shots at 16 weeks and will have cervical length checked regularly and we’ll take it one step at a time. I feel really good about everything

How are you feeling?: good! So much less nauseous/pukey

Rants/Raves: So wtf was up with that coup 😳 freaked me out for the inauguration 😬

@DuchessOfCambridge as a Canadian I was glued to CNN all afternoon in complete and utter shock. I'm happy things are simmering down and my fingers are crossed for a smooth inauguration but honestly, I'm nervous.

@DuchessOfCambridge That was some crazy stuff going on! I live about 45 minutes from DC, so far enough removed to feel (physically) safe... but on the other hand, I want to get the hell out of Dodge during the inauguration next week.
