What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): FET on Dec. 17!!! 🎉

How are things going?: Great! I can’t believe how far we’ve come (but also, how far we still must go). I’m a little nervous about the procedure since the doctors tend to have trouble getting catheters through my cervix. But I’m planning to take some lorazepam beforehand and just hoping for the best. After a really busy work week last week, I have this week off which will be nice since I still have to get lots of Christmas shopping done!!

Any questions?: Does anyone have any funny movie recommendations? Apparently laughter is really good for after a transfer so I’m making a list of movies to watch over the few days after.

GTKY: What's your favorite holiday special to watch? Ohh I love Rudolph and the original Grinch who stole Christmas! I think I’ll have to watch those this week!

Other good options that I didn't see on the list - Anchorman, Balls of Fury, Dodgeball, Down Periscope, Norbit, Robin Hood Men in Tights, Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison. For Christmas related you could consider Elf, Jingle All the Way, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.

@misshelen86 I'm so so so excited for you! Enjoy your week off, getting ready for Thu. I'll check in closer to Thu to wish you more luck. Have you ever watched the Canadian classics Bon Cop, Bad Cop 1 & 2? MH and I just recently re-watched the original and #2 that came out in 2017 and we hollered the whole way through. It's bilingue so unless you're from QC, you'll want to have your subtitles on (I speak French pretty darn well, but I the Quebec slang gets me every time.)

Diagnosis (if you've been): hypoandrogenic PCOS, slight MFI (I'm leaving it here since morphology at 2% hasn't been great the last 2 SAs), AMA, suspected low-egg quality issue

Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): never-ending TWW

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): waiting on beta (12/17) from IUI on 12/3.

How are things going?: Honestly, after the freak out re: lining thickness late last week, I'm feeling super calm and ready for whatever results Thursday brings. I don't have any symptoms so there's that. If we haven't been successful this time, I think we'll take a break from treatment next cycle. We been doing medicated cycles since end of August, and I don't know what my natural cycle looks like anymore. Given all the lifestyle improvements MH and I have made, it will be nice to re-familiarize myself with it.

Last week I took a break from Selenium (was waiting for my Vitamin Shoppe order with a lower dose to arrive), and I definitely noticed less hair falling out yesterday when washing my hair. I've got an appointment with my PCP on Thu so I'll still ask her about it, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I found the "root" cause of the issue (GAWD, I am so punny. 🤣)

How are things going?: I’m okay this week. I’m trending upwards haha - definitely feeling better than last week. Still getting some residual hot flashes from Clomid, but I’m catching up on sleep and starting to feel more like a human. My first monitoring u/s is Thursday morning, so I’m really hoping that we see some follies that are better than they usually are on CD12. But I’m also being very realistic that this IUI may not happen until after Christmas. We will see!!

GTKY: What's your favorite holiday special to watch? The Year Without a Santa Claus, but Elf is probably my favorite “new” classic. I love them all though!

@runningoncookies OOOH! Lots of things happening for this group on Thursday! I hope it's a lucky one all around. I seriously hope the bigger dose of Clomid did the trick and that you don't have to suffer through another round and that your follicle(s) is(are) nice and ready for trigger! There is still 9 days between now and Christmas so I have high hopes for you. FX.

How are things going?: I’m stressing some about the potential results of the IUI. I keep paying attention to any little thing my body does and thinking - may this signal a success? Or is this a sign of it not being successful? My Google search history is full of queries about things like that, lol. I have over a week still before the beta test (December 23rd).

@laura-kay The SS rabbit can be such a time suck and brain fûçk (we’ll see if I get warned for that 🤣). Hopefully the next week flies by!

I’ve been mostly lurking since I really didn’t have much of an update. But, after talking, my husband and I decided that we were going to go ahead with the referral, knowing they may still ask us to wait in the mean time. I talked with them on the phone today and the fertility center is sending me the 10 page health and TTC history questionnaire to get started on the journey. I’m sure I will feel very overwhelmed when I get the packet but for now am just happy to have a next step. :-)

@laura-kay argh, I totally get how you're feeling. Are you tracking your BBT? I had found that taking temp in medicated cycles is the biggest mind-fûçk of all (thank you @chindimples04 for that idea!) so if you're doing it, the best thing to do is to STOP. Let me know if you need ideas to help the next 2 weeks pass.

@chindimples04 so happy to hear you're moving forward with referral! Hopefully you'll get more answers. And yeah, the paperwork for the RE's is ridiculous! Because I've been working with different RE's, I've had to do that 5-6 times already. I've told my husband: NO MORE.

So now I’m starting to feel stressed again. I just saw some spotting, 9 DPO, with 6 days left before my expected period. My heart drops when I see that happen. I know it could be implantation bleeding....but it also may not be that... it may just be the start of an early period. I’m feeling really jumbled up inside right now.

ETA: As of this morning, I’m feeling more and more like it may just be an early cycle start, not what I’m hoping for.

AFM...I have a GREAT update!! I have a 25mm follie on the left and we are ready to trigger! Lining looks good too at 7.9. They are having me trigger tonight and do the IUI on Saturday, which will be CD14. Considering my last 2 IUIs happened on CD25 and CD20, I’m thrilled!

@laura-kay I’m obviously not a doctor but... do you normally spot in luteal phase? If not, then you shouldn’t be starting now unless something’s wacky with your progesterone. So keep the hope alive!!! It is possible for it to be implantation bleeding.

Thanks all for the well wishes; beta isn’t until noon and then I have a slew of medical appointments so I’ll ask them not to call me before 4:30pm. I want to be home and with my hubby whenever we get the results, whatever they are.

I haven't checked in this week because there's not much to report. CD 3 u/s was uneventful although she did say there were two teeny tiny follies on my left side so hopefully lefty gets her isht together. Otherwise just trucking along with my letrozole. Monitoring u/s next Wednesday and likely triggering and TI at my dad's house over Christmas.

Well poop; the clinic lab doesn’t take samples for analysis after 10:30am so I have to wait til tomorrow for results. Oh well, what’s one more day. I don’t feel KUed so I’m not really optimistic. 🤷‍♀️

Sorry I just got back on here now, my internet was acting up all morning.

First of all, thank you so much everyone for all the kind wishes and thoughts. It meant so much to feel so much love! ❤️🥰

Transfer was a success!! I am now officially PUPO! 💕 We transferred one 4AB and it went relatively smoothly. The doctor was having a hard time, not because of my cervix, but because my uterus was way over to the left. I barely felt the catheter go in this time, just a small pinch and the embryo was placed in the right spot. I wasn’t feeling well yesterday, probably from the anti-anxiety meds I took. But today I’m feeling good and just taking it easy.. eating my pineapple core and watching funny movies.
Unfortunately, with the clinic closing for 2 weeks, they haven’t scheduled a beta date for me. They asked me to poas Dec. 28th (11dpt). If it’s positive, I am supposed to contact them the following week. If it’s negative, I am supposed to stop my meds and wait for af. This seems really strange, to not have a beta after this whole process.

@misshelen86 Congrats on being PUPO!!! So glad to hear that the catheter was not an issue this time around! It sounds like you're doing a great job of 'enjoying' the TWW. I hope this time flies by for you and ends in success.
As far as the beta, can they give you/email you an order that you can take to another lab or clinic for blood draw? That's what my RE does: they email it and I just go to the blood draw place.

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?): Welp, I was supposed to be on BCP for 21 days to prep for a January FET. But after only 12 days on on the BCP, AF has made an appearance. Have to call the clinic to see what they want to do now. Maybe it will change from a medicated to a natural transfer?

How are things going?: Fine. Holiday hectic this week, combined with wrapping up work--you know the deal. Have felt like absolute hell from the BCP, killer headaches and skin breakouts all week. But had my last work meeting this morning so that felt good to finish. And almost done with presents too.

Any questions?: Has anyone had a real period while on BCP?

@keikilove Booo AF! Hopefully you can make use of this next cycle to just HIO! 🤞🏻I can't really comment on the BCP; I had a hormonal IUD before starting TTC and I would get a period on it. It was very light though.

Welp, beta was negative as I'd predicted. So eh 🤷‍♀️Not really sure if waiting for the beta is the way to go; they check it anyways at the baseline monitoring on Day 2, so I don't think I'll be scheduling that again in the future. Oh well, onwards to the next cycle! Gonna stop progesterone now, and AF _should_ arrive in the next 4 days.

@laura-kay yes I think a CD 3 u/s is pretty normal for medicated cycles. I think the primary purpose is to make sure you don’t have any cysts because a cyst and a follicle will look the same on a mid-cycle u/s
