@mc0303 I agree with @mindyb2019 virgin river is so good! Have you watched schitts creek or Santa Clarita diet? Stranger things is also super good. Not corny or romantic but if you like true crime documentaries making a murder is really interesting.
@mc0303 I just finished the new season of Virgin River, I would say that because we are all pregnant there should be a tw* with it due to stillborn being a frequent topic it discusses. But I do like it! H and I are watching Queens Gambit together, it isn’t the cheesy romcom that Virgin River is, but so far I like it, but it is about chess, so if you find that boring you may not like it. And I am watching Private Practice as well. It is a spin-off of Greys Anatomy with Addison Montgomery as the lead character. It’s an older show, but I never watched it when it came out.
@MelissaMay82 Schitts Creek is my favorite!!! And I loved Stranger Things. I haven't watched Santa Clarita Diet or Cobra Kai. I'll have to add them to the list.
@ramzlau Loved the Queen's Gambit! I didn't watch Private Practice yet though. I'm a diehard Grey's fan, but I really didn't like the cross-over Private Practice episodes so I never gave it a chance. I'll have to try again!
@mc0303 the Netflix Christmas movies are fun. There's one about an advent calendar that's cute and some other fun ones on there if you are looking for corny romantic.

My nails all peel during pregnancy no matter what I take. My toenails are super short bc they keep breaking and super sharp bc they are peeling. they're so sharp I ripped an 8 inch tear in our bottom sheet last night!! So looks like I'm getting new sheets for Christmas lol.
Thought y'all would appreciate this - I just got all excited because I got an email from my OB's office that my test results were back and I was like wow they said 7-10 days for my NIPT but maybe it got done faster (I had my blood drawn on Wednesday) so I went and logged in and.... I tested negative for gonorrhea and chlamydia.

My Verifi test came back and negative for downs!! I'm so happy. And they emailed my best friend the sex of the baby. I'm FREAKING out not knowing hahaha! I think we are going to find out on Wednesday
Omg im soo happy!! I decided to try out my doppler again today. Im 14 weeks and I finally found babys HB. Yay 🥰 it was between 157- 163 when I found it. Such a beautiful sound.
@mindyb2019 yaaay!! Best sound ever!! @ruemcclanahan congrats, that's great news! I think I'm getting you mixed up with someone else, for some reason I thought you already knew your having a girl. Maybe I'm just getting internet vibes 😆
I’m starting a registry to get nailed down what I need to buy this time around. Thankfully we saved most everything from DS. There are a few things we gave away that were super bulky and took up too much space to keep. Also a few things I want that we didn’t get before. Man this stuff adds up fast, but at least starting registry gets you a completion discount a month or so before the due date lol. We won’t be having a shower this time around so anything we want is on us!
@sgrn18 I’ve been thinking of doing the same thing with a registry. I really just want the completion discount 😁 I’m gonna need really big ticket items like a new baby monitor and a double stroller.
I had a friend who had her 2nd baby last night. She lives 10 minutes from the hospital. She labored at home as long as possible to minimize her COIVD exposure. They left for the hospital at 6:45 because things were getting going and they figured baby would be there in a few hours. Half way to the hospital, her water broke. By the time they got to the hospital lobby the baby was on it's way. The hospital won't let anyone to go to areas of the hospital without an official escort due to COVID. So the baby was born in the lobby while they were waiting on an escort. Like literally she is on her knees screaming while they are making her wait and the baby's head is born. Then when they stood her up a little to help her onto her back, the baby came the rest of the way out and went down the leg of her sweatpants. Her husband and doula had to pull down her sweat pants in the lobby to get the baby out.
Both baby and mom are doing well but jeez! I am the first one to say have COVID protections in place, but really? A pregnant lady about to give birth can't get an immediate escort to the labor ward or the ER?!? I am so upset for her.
Edit to add the baby was born at 7:14 so they were waiting in the lobby about 15- 20 minutes from when they arrived.

@DoubleUp8 OMG that is horrifying! DH is already freaking out about COVID restrictions when our we have the baby. I think I will not be sharing this story with him. He already told me (mostly joking, I think) that he wants to go to another state to give birth. Not gonna happen, my friend...

I was so appalled they did not prioritize her! Is is horrible that my first thought was that a male staff person of some sort thought "oh pregnant lady screaming and being overly dramatic" so they didn't take her seriously. I bet that person will never make that mistake again! Especially if they have never seen a live birth, it is messy and something you do not forget.
I was already telling DH since we live 25 minutes from the hospital we are not leaving at the last minute.

@DoubleUp8 Holy Sh*t! I have no words! I may actually do the hospital tour even though I did it last time just to ask questions about their new protocols and such. I can’t imagine them not trying to get her to a room ASAP. That is insane to me.
@DoubleUp8 oh my God!! 😳 Thats horrifying! Poor thing. Thats my greatest fear with giving birth, that I will be stuck somewhere else and have it randomly somewhere. I would be devastated.
My SIL gave birth in a hotel lobby earlier this year (preCovid) and I am absolutely terrified that could happen to me. We live a little over an hour from the hospital, but I have a crazy low pain tolerance so I should be fine lol.
@DoubleUp8 omg! How crazy! I feel so sorry for your friend for such a bad experience with the hospital. That is horrible for them to be that way! Glad that baby and mom are doing well
@DoubleUp8 omg your poor friend!! What a horrible experience. Can’t believe they couldn’t bring her in right away, I’m glad they’re doing well now though! Hope she got extra pampered after.
