The nausea and constant hunger have gone away, which is nice but a bit disconcerting. Luckily I’m still exhausted. 🙃
Oh and my skin has absolutely flipped out.
  • 7w4d

All of the nausea and gagging with minimal actual puking. I probably could force it if I wanted to though. Add to those some constipation and it’s quite the combo.
  • 7+5

Nauseous often, sometimes throw up, so overall it’s not too bad! Like, not fun, but could absolutely be so much worse haha and at least I usually feel pretty good for a couple hours after I throw up

  • 7w today

it is rough waters over here. I’m a freaking wreck. The constant nausea, dry heaving, food aversions, headaches, hot flashes, extreme fatigue, and my boobs are somehow getting even more sore. Normally I handle pregnancy really well, but this one is currently kicking my butt.

  • 6w3d Tired, grumpy, gassy. Sometimes it's worrisome to not have any bad symptoms, my boobs are a tiny bit tender but nothing major and zero nausea.
  • 6w5d tired, nauseous 24/7 with a sour taste in my mouth that I cannot get rid of. Everything smells bad to me and makes the nausea 10x worse, though no vomiting yet. Sore boobs to the point where showering hurts, and terrible constipation - skipped my prenatal yesterday but still took the DHA and that got things moving this morning but I know it’s temporary 😩. I forgot how much the first trimester sucks lol thankful for the reassurance that feeling crappy gives me, but also hate feeling so bad all day. I’ve also woken up between 1-3am every morning for the past week+ to pee, and then have trouble getting back to sleep
  • Today is my first day back at work since before thanksgiving and the nausea has me feeling like garbageeeeee.  Blah.

  • @jessd0117, I forgot my prenatal two days in a row and it felt so good to not be constipated for a hot minute.  I’ve been taking them everyday again so this morning I stopped for an iced coffee to help me out.

  • @Beckyf321 I am a coffee lover and on par with my first pregnancy, it’s one of my first and strongest aversions 😭 I tried some green tea with honey in it yesterday and it helped some but it’s not the same, plus I’m nervous about tea because some herbs aren’t safe and I haven’t researched it enough to know what’s ok. Maybe I should try iced coffee and see if the cold sits better

  • I also messaged my dr today about nausea meds. I took zofran past 20 weeks with my daughter after a short stint in the ER. I had HG with her, but luckily it doesn’t seem as severe this time around 🙌🏻 I just can’t function staring at a computer screen all day while my stomach is churning. I have a high pain tolerance but a verrrry low nausea tolerance lol
  • 10 Weeks today. Boobs are still killing me. Nauseous most of the day and my fatigue has gone into overdrive the last few days. Staring at a computer all day isn't helping me stay awake Lol.
  • @jessd0117, I can’t handle hot coffee right now either, but love the iced coffee.  Small iced caramel swirl with cream only from Dunkin’.  I can only drink about half of it, though, and wish they had a smaller size.

  • 7w1d and not feeling too bad. Mostly just exhausted non stop. Boobs have been less sore and only a little bit of nausea. I’m a little weary of my lack of symptoms but just keep reminding myself I saw a strong heartbeat Friday.
  • 9+5: nausea, sore boobs, coffee aversion, constant hunger. Not as exhausted as last time. The newest symptom is joint weirdness. My hips hurt, which makes sleeping uncomfortable, and my knee keeps giving out on me. Seems too early for that...
  • My nausea has really amped up over the last several days, so finally sent DH to Target for some Unisom and B6. I need some sort of relief.
  • 8+1

Still no majorly bad symptoms. I had a small bout of nausea last week that went away when I ate some toast. I keep waffling between "wow, I'm so lucky" and "is everything okay in there? Why aren't I sick?!" I have been peeing a lot and burping/hiccupping a lot though.
  • my dr called in some B-6 and unisom to hopefully ease my nausea. It’s the worst and the past few days I’ve discovered that driving/motion makes it even worse. So that’s awesome, not! Also, wished I could sleep for like 20hrs a day right now. I’m soooooo exhausted. Here is to hoping symptoms don’t linger past first tri.

I had been really nauseous until last week, now I am starving until the food is in front of me. Then it's eat 2 bites and I don't want any more. Nothing sounds good other than chips and popsicles haha.
  • 8+4 and have entered a "must eat everything" phase... omg I had two slices of pizza at 9:30 this morning for 'second breakfast' and a full lunch at 12... still hungry!! Maybe making up for all those prior weeks of barely eating anything!

  • Anyone else super bloated? I’m 7+4 right now and feeling like I’m going to bust out of my work pants. I have IBS so am used to some bloating but this is different bloat than I usually have.
  • @pharmd93 yup, same here. I don’t remember the bloating being this bad at all last time.
  • @pharmd93 I am 8+1 and the bloating is so out of control. My work pants don’t fit, and every top makes me look like I am 6 months pregnant. Not only do I look fat, but the bloating hurts! I think mine is a mix of gas/constipation/water retention, so it’s just so so uncomfortable.
  • @pharmd93 yep! I look hugely pregnant already due to bloat.  I think it is also because all I want to eat are salty foods, which are famously bad for exacerbating bloat.  Tried on a pair of maternity pants this morning and they fit....LOL I swapped them for leggings because I really didn't want to jump on the maternity pants train this early.

  • @canucklehead123 I did the same thing this morning.
Most of my jeans are laughable now, so I'm living in leggings until I move into maternity clothes.  I only have one pair of maternity pants as I thought we were done having little ones and purged everything 🤦‍♀️
  • @tiggywiggles when I opened my box of maternity clothes, I was shocked at the number of maternity jeans I have.... Like IDK what I was thinking, I must have spent $500 on maternity jeans... spoiler alert, I wore them all for maybe 2 months - probably some pairs that I maybe only wore once (I was a July mama last time and spent ALL of the third trimester and most of the second in dresses because it was so dang hot, and also maternity jeans are just not that comfortable).

Also perhaps let that be a lesson to any FTM's out there.... don't over-invest in maternity jeans!! Invest heavily in maternity wear for hot weather!   It's so funny now the second time around and looking back at all the crazy things I spent money on...

  • @canucklehead123 thanks for the advice! I’m thinking I need to invest in some pants extenders for now and then I’m wondering if switching to scrubs instead of business casual for work would make more sense in the long run
  • @canucklehead123 I have SO many jeans and pants too! I have one box of winter maternity clothes, and I am waiting to get two boxes from my SIL who I let borrow all of my warm weather stuff. Hopefully between the three boxes, I won’t have to get too much!
  • I, on the other hand have been living in leggings for the last 8+ months thanks to Covid times. What are jeans??
  • I’m definitely living in leggings until I get some maternity clothes.  We thought Jack was our last so I gave everything away.  Thankfully, one of my friends is having her baby tomorrow so she’s passing her clothes to me.

I put jeans on this past Sunday to go get our tree.  They were already a little snug so wearing them for an hour was torture.

  • Anyone else have to sleep sitting up?  I’ve been sleeping in our oversized chair or on the couch because it makes me nauseous to lay down.  👎🏻

  • One of my favorite things about pregnancy is breaking out the maternity clothes.  It's like I have a whole new wardrobe all at once.
BFP 2/11/15 (EDD 10/13/15). MMC 3/30/15 D&C 4/3/15 "We will always love you"
DD1 - BFP 7/23/15 (EDD 3/31/16).  "We believe in you rainbow" DOB 4/2/16
    DD2 - BFP 2/9/18 (EDD 10/19/18).  "Grow baby grow!" DOB 10/24/18
    BFP 11/16/20 (EDD 7/31/21).  "Round 3 FIGHT!"
  • My friend has all of my maternity clothes. She lives three hours away since I moved, and I’m not ready to share our news yet so...just waiting 😂

  • @bntfroggie I'm with you! I've been wearing the same 4 sweaters and leggings plus one pair of jeans for the last 3 months and I can't wait to break out the bin with all my maternity clothes. I swear maternity clothes are better than my normal wardrobe.

  • Protein has been a huge aversion for me again this pregnancy, except for tuna of course... Wtf?!

  • @nopegoat interesting.... the thought of tuna is putting me off LOL

@canucklehead123 it makes zero sense to me. Chicken, turkey, pork, and ground beef even in the most mild recipes have me immediately hugging the toilet. Strong smelling tuna, fine. 😑

The bloat is real here too. I've been basically living in my husbands pajama pants. Zero effs given.

  • @nopegoat I’ve actually been craving tuna too...but specifically in spicy ramen lol. The protein aversion is throwing me off because I didn’t have it last time.

I’m looking forward to when I can enjoy eating again. Every time I think about food (what to prepare, when to prepare, simply entering the kitchen) I feel nauseous. My poor family has been eating a lot of hastily put together meals and take out 😅.
  • @nopegoat @navete I usually do have a protein aversion during first tri but it's usually just chicken (uncooked, and even grilled or rotisserie chicken usually). Now, It's mostly all meat except breaded (fried) chicken or hamburgers and bacon... so I'm basically on a frat boys diet over here.
