Upcoming Appointments? MFM sometime this month? Next OB appt is 12/30
Cravings/Symptoms? Fatigue is easing up a bit!! I crave chocolate and hot cocoa is one of my go-to safe drinks.
How are you doing? Rants/Raves/Randoms? I had an ObGyn appointment today and things looked really good! I got my NIPT drawn and we talked about the possibility of a gentle c-section and we're going to look into what we can do to make my pregnancy/delivery experience as normal and easygoing as possible. I do start seeing maternal fetal medicine soon because of my history of complications but that's more of a precaution than anything else. I'll likely be delivering between 36 and 37 weeks this time around barring complications necessitating an earlier delivery.

  • @ashaislurking I'm so glad you are being so proactive about planning your delivery as much as it's possible to do so, FX it is smooth sailing for you until at least 36/37 weeks. I am also expecting to deliver around 37 again with my history of preeclampsia so we could have early June babies close together!

Upcoming Appointments? Next Wednesday (first OB appt)
Cravings/Symptoms? Craving Granny Smith applies, oatmeal cookies, and still McChickens lol; my symptoms have become mostly tolerable with my nausea wristbands, and I am trying a humidifier tonight for my nasal issues
How are you doing? Rants/Raves/Randoms? I'm doing so much better the last couple of days, I think I am finally emerging from my funk and am close to ready to fully embrace and enjoy the rest of this pregnancy  :)

Upcoming Appointments? Lots. Dec. 15th for NT at the MFM, telehealth appt 12/16 with my OB to go over all the genetic results, and then Jan 15th for the 16-week checkup
Cravings/Symptoms? Still feeling like crap this week. I don't want to complain since I know many have it worse...but feel like crap.
How are you doing? Mostly ok? Getting anxious with all the milestones this month, but taking it as best I can
Rants/Raves/Randoms? Kiddo's still there, they couldn't get a heartbeat on the Doppler so had a quick ultrasound to confirm that things are OK. Apparently I have a huge bladder, ultrasound tech and why I'd been holding it so long, but I'd gone to the bathroom less than an hour before so I think I just have a crazy system (this isn't the first time it's been an issue, I had to partially empty twice during an ultrasound in a prior pregnancy).
    Questions? None right now
  • @ashaislurking chocolate is one of my go-tos right now also! I had a fairly gentle RCS with ds2- no clear curtain, but it was lowered so I could see ds2 being born and I was able to have skin to skin while they stitched me back up. It was great.
@legallykate glad you are feeling good! I'm wondering if I'll have an earlier-June baby too- in the fb lovenox group I'm in a lot of members are induced/csectioned 36/37 weeks. Planning to ask my Dr at the next appointment.
@akoros glad everything was ok at your appt! I feel like my bad days are starting to space out a bit (except for the exhaustion!)

Upcoming Appointments? Thursday at my ob for nipt and us. The MFM was supposed to call this week to tell me when I can get in there but I didn't hear from them so they're on my Monday list. Also seeing the rheumatologist Thursday to start going over the results of my bw from the hematologist. I feel like I'm constantly in and out of drs offices this round.

Cravings/Symptoms? Still fresh fruit/veggies, strawberry ice cream, Mexican, and cold. Very similar to my cravings with DS1. Naseua is starting to ease up, but exhaustion is still very real.

How are you doing? Rants/Raves/Randoms? I'm ok, this pregnancy still doesn't feel real. I'm worried about the rheumatologist appt. The hematologist said several times that the flags in my bw are seen in lupus patients, so that's her concern. It's not necessarily lupus though. I've had some health issues over the last two years though that could fit with a lupus diagnosis so just trying not to get myself worked up. Anticipating having a lot of blood drawn on Thursday between both appointments so trying to drink lots this week and will have food on hand.

Upcoming Appointments? I have an appt with my OB on Monday. Then I have another ultrasound on Dec 21st at 15 weeks to check my cervical length in case its too short.
Cravings/Symptoms? I crave ice cold milk at dinner time with my meals and lately its been green olives too. Symptoms have been backaches daily, bloating and horrible leg pain in my upper right thigh. Boobs are still tender a bit too.
How are you doing? Doing ok I guess. Really struggling with the fact that im having a boy and not my dream girl. I have cried every day since finding out. I cried again in the bathtub last night and cried myself to sleep. Im trying to find some joy and attachment in this pregnancy but there just isn't any there and that worries me. I have an appt on Monday morning to talk to my therapist about it. Im scared to be open and raw with her and be judged.
Rants/Raves/Randoms? So excited to go cut down our Christmas tree tomorrow with my husband and step daughter and decorate the house tonight. We do it together every year for the past few years now.
    Questions? None right now.
  • @mindyb2019 I'm sorry you're struggling. Don't be scared to tell your therapist, though. Her (his?) job is to be in your corner and a safe, non-judgemental space. That's the beauty of therapists, it's not like a friend or family member who you'll have to see for years on end and deal with their opinions.
  • How far along are you? 13+2
Upcoming Appointments? 12/31 but planning on rescheduling
Cravings/Symptoms? Still in the all carbs camp. I am thinking about eating more veggies and protein, but not there yet.
How are you doing? Rants/Raves/Randoms? I upped my Zofran, so I am actually able to play with DD and get things done around the house and that helps me so much mentally. I am also looking into a prenatal workout program which will help as well with the mental and emotional stress of life. Rave: We decorated our tree last night!
