I definitely used the term food baby on Saturday.

Does anyone own a pair of Timberland boots? Are they as comfy as people say they are? My mom is going to get me a pair for Christmas but I'm so worried they're going to feel big and clunky on my feet. Googling photos gives me very little in picturing how they may look with my style of pants and leggings. Maybe I should just make a quick run to a store to try them on?

@inthewoods23 I vote for going to try them on. I do that with most everything and then I will find the best price online and order it.

@inthewoods23 I have never worn those so I have no clue but I have made the mistake of ordering shoes online like that and hating them when I finally got them. So if you can, I would go try them on.

I’ve never had Timberland boots. I did order some shoes that were a Black Friday release, purely FOMO since they were only available for 4 days (I can always return them right?). I was going to just sneak them in the house but MH told me last night he was buying himself tools so I felt justified after that.

On the Timberland boot front - I made a quick trip out to DSW yesterday to try them on and see how they look on my foot. They are super comfortable and are not obnoxiously bulky. I look forward to unwrapping them at Christmas

@emmylou78 I did the same Monday lol. The DSW cyber monday deal had everything 30% and boots online were an additional 20% off so how could I resist. My mom used the deal to buy the Timberlands for me as a gift and I bought myself a new pair of snow boots.

I have my cat at the vet to get his rabies shot. The lady asked me how sedated he is. I don’t think he is that sedated at all. I think I needed to give him twice the amount I gave him this morning. So she said she is going to take his vitals which includes checking his teeth. 😳 I asked why she would do something that would make him mad and more likely to bite before giving him his vaccine?! I told her as his owner I’m requesting that his teeth not be checked and to give the stupid vaccine through the carrier if they need to. I will have to call the animal control people and see if they can give him his shot if they can’t do it here. I’m so frustrated. She actually said he was awful last time. 🤨 My cat is not awful when you treat him right.

@emeraldcity1214 why in the world do they need to CHECK HIS TEETH. So not important in light of a vaccine. I also have a cat who's been labeled as "aggressive" by the vet and I just tell them not to do what they can't do, get the shots done, that's what's important unless he has a specific medical reason for the visit. They listen. That's so frustrating, I'm sorry.

@fameonmain2 She called me and told me she couldn’t give him the shot because he was really aggressive towards her and That she couldn’t get him back in his carrier. So she asked me to come in. I went in and as soon as I picked him up he melted into me and started rubbing his head on me. So I asked if she could just give the shot while I was holding him. She did and he didn’t even fight. I told her he had never been aggressive when I have taken him to the vet. I’m also always in the room petting him and keeping him calm. 🙄

@emeraldcity1214 You and your poor kitty! I'm glad that's over now. What an ordeal! Is this your normal vet? Sounds like they can use a course in bedside manners.

@acleverusername This isn’t my normal vet because they are booked up months in advance. Which is why I had to bring him here to begin with. I have used them before with my dog. They diagnosed his cancer and helped me keep him comfortable until he passed naturally back in March. I have never had this issue with them.

@emmylou78 I don’t go in at all since COVID. They come and get your pet from the vehicle. You sit and wait for however long it takes because they don’t do appointments either. Except they gave me an appointment for today. He was just so calm when I held him. After that I realized he was pretty sedated and I’m glad I didn’t give him more. Ugh, I doubt I use them again.
