I told my mom about the baby yesterday. She's super excited! She already texted me this morning and said she wishes she could come over and hug me and we could start making plans. I have no idea what she wants to plan at this point, but I can tell she's really happy
For some reason I've had a lot of anxiety about telling my parents. Going to tell my dad and his wife on Thanksgiving when I call them. I hope he's as excited as my mom was!
I’m telling my parents on Friday with my sister. We were going to this weekend but my sisters husband was going to be out of town so we waited.
I’ve been looking around for free baby boxes lol I’m a sucker for freebies. Walmart’s doesn’t require anything but creating a registry. You don’t even have to add any items lol
@sgrn18 I have been looking around for free baby boxes too lol. Im also a sucker for freebies. Cant go wrong with free lol GL with telling your family on Friday. How fun!
I got 2 free baby boxes from amazon last time! And a free one from buybuybaby. I’m not planning on creating a registry this time but I might for a free box from target. I’ll check out Walmart too.
I am supposed to go to the lab tomorrow on the hospital campus for my NIPT. I have to call OB in the morning to let them know that I am still spotting and if they want me to get a rhogam shot and/or see me. That’s also on campus so I’ll just do it all in one trip depending on what OB wants me to do.
Also FWP I did a big Whole Foods order for thanksgiving and other stuff we need for the week. They were sold out of turkey, I had to get chicken. And I couldn’t get a pick up time before Tuesday. I told DH that we should have gotten the turkey from Whole Foods when we did an order last week. Chicken will be fine though, it’s just doing to be the 3 of us (me, dh, dd).
If anyone is breastfeeding, Medela sends a free box of stuff too. I just signed up for it.
My mother moves in with us this week. We will be telling her when she arrives. We haven't told many people, okay 3 so far, as we are really cautious. I'm concerned she may tell some family members. This should be interesting.
I think I am getting pink eye. I woke up at 4 in the morning and my eye was all red and gunky. After all the stuff with my dad's eye this fall I had a really hard time falling back to sleep, even though I am sure this is allergic pink eye from my marathon dusting session yesterday. (Like the kind where you move the furniture and attack the dust bunnies.) So annoying. Luckily my doctors is going to squeeze me in today. Fingers crossed I can get a steroid drop and get this resolved.

@ellieemc26 your mom's reaction was really sweet! Hope it goes as well telling your dad and stepmom. I feel the same way about telling parents/my family; I feel like I'm going to get in trouble even though I'm 35, married, with a steady job.
@DoubleUp8 oh no! I hope you can get to your Dr today! Do you have any saline solution you can rinse your eye with today? That might help clean it out if anything's still in there.
I *think* I found the hb on my doppler today. I'm 8+6. Had the usual whoosh whoosh and 90-120 range show up, but had about 2 seconds of 169, 171 and then gone.
I'm so proud of my cervix lol I had my biopsy from my colposcopy last Friday and my OB said I would bleed for a few days and so far all weekend and today I haven't bled once! Yay!! Maybe its a lot stronger then I give it credit for 😆 I have been preparing myself for blood/spotting and nothing 🤷♀️ So glad i didn't have to deal with that.
@_orchid_ yep supercervix 😄 not sure when. They always say a week but I've had this done before and I didnt get my results for like 2-3 weeks because of covid. Its slow. I dont expect it anytime soon.
Ok, has anyone here watched that new series/show on Facebook called “ 9 months with Courteney Cox”? There is 2 seasons. It follows different couples of different age groups, genders and sexes etc around for 9 months during pregnancy and the things they go through and face. Some losses and struggles etc so it can be a bit emotional and triggering but it’s soo good. Very eye opening. Highly recommend!
@ellieemc26 your mom’s reaction sounds cute! I too am also nervous to tell any of my family. I’m worried about a lot of judgement with this being #4 and I am the rebel child so I feel like I will get some smart comments.
I am so nauseous all day every day. My OB prescribed some medicine which seemed to work but it made me so tired that I slept all day when I took it Saturday. I tried the unisom and vitamin b6 today but that didn’t seem to work at all. My nausea usually goes to around 15-16 weeks but I am praying it will end soon (I’m only on week 9). Other than the nausea, looking forward to a long weekend just hanging out with my husband and little ones.
It's pink eye. I knew it was. Got the drops, hopefully it clears up before Thanksgiving and isn't viral. If it doesn't start clearing up in 24 hours, I will have to go to the eye doctor.

I bought a ring sling impulsively 🤷🏻♀️ It’s a chicibeanz weft and I’m in love and it’s not even here lol. I’ve never used a ring sling before so hopefully as I’ve been baby wearing before it’s easy to figure out 😂
I'm so confused. I went to pick up my prescription. There was an eye drop and an ointment called in by my doctor's office. I took the eyedrop since we had discussed an eye drop 3 times a day and left the ointment. I get home and call my doctor's office. They say that they called in an ointment not drops, but it's fine to take the drops. Then I read the fine print on the drops and it says no big studies have been don on this drug, but in a study of the medication orally, 4 out of 120 women had incidence of congenital abnormalities (3.3%). Not sure I want to risk it, for how mild the pink eye is, so I guess I am driving back to the pharmacy for the ointment. I should have just taken both. Maybe she changed it after we spoke because of the pregnancy thing? so weird and stressful!

Today my husband learned about the existence of the pelvic bone. He went to pick me up and stopped halfway, saying he didn't want to put pressure on my belly. I told him it's fine, since at this stage the baby is still tucked behind my pelvic bone. He was astonished to learn that I have a bone there, and then his mind was *blown* when I told him that he has one, too.
I think I need to run over my doppler. Im 11 weeks today and I decided to try my home doppler to find the HB. Well Negetive!!! Still couldn't find it and I spent at least 10 mins looking. I was crying today and started freaking out to my husband thinking my baby isn't alive anymore. I think this doppler is causing me more anxiety then I need 😢 What if something is wrong? Why can't I find a HB yet? Now I keep thinking the worst and my PGAL brain is going to dark places.
@akoros That is hilarious but also something MH would think too.
@mindyb2019 It can be really hard to find! Take a deep breath and try not to let yourself think negative. You may want to set it aside for a few more weeks. And if you are going to keep trying are you using gel? It helps!
@klj0228 thanks! I’ll give it another try today. How do you push thru with the unisom making you more tired? I’m already exhausted and taking half a sleeping pill wiped me out even more. I usually drink coffee but I’m lucky to get water down right now so my normal caffeine isn’t an option at the moment
@dogmom5 supposedly if you take it at night it will still help. There are a few mamas here that it worked for well that might have some tricks for you. @mc0303 any advice? I get HG so my doctor very quickly moved me to zofran based on my lack of ability to keep any food down.
@mindyb2019 it's still very hard to find! Second @ramzlau, are you using the gel? When I think I found mine the other day I was laying flat on my back, but being propped up has helped me before. I usually need an empty bladder to do it so that I can push down. If it's causing a lot of anxiety, don't do it- especially this week when you have the stress if waiting for the colposcopy and NIPT results ♥️ @ruemcclanahan oh no!! I'm dreading preschool closing again. How did DS take it?
@_orchid_@ramzlau yes, im most definitely using gel. I usually put a good size glob on there so I can move the probe. I usually lay flat on my back too and kinda put a pillow underneath me like the you tube videos say to do. I mostly do on an empty bladder.Nothing had worked for me so far Maybe I just really suck at it lol Its causing me alot of anxiety so I think im going to leave it in the closet and not touch it for a while. Especially this week for sure as im waiting for big results that make me nervous.
@mindyb2019 if I can't find it after 5 mins, I give up and let my husband have a go at it. I usually start along the sides near the pelvic bone and look for the whoosh whoosh sound (sounds like wind in trees) - that's the placenta. Then you know the baby's nearby. It's soo tricky though, you might hear the heartbeat for half a second, and if you shift a tiny bit, you lose it again.
