I don’t understand why someone would want to be very active on another (very popular) forum and also be active here. I want to give all of you as much support as I can and I can’t imagine keeping up with that on two different forums.

To be clear, I am saying this because of a specific person that was active on both but I’m not calling anyone out because I’m sure there are others and I just never knew. So this is just my general thought on the matter.

However, to link this to my comment in UO, I find it especially odd that someone would be in this situation and also express the need for the TTC 6+ months thread here. Aren’t there pretty much no rules on other forums and you can just say what you want anywhere? It just doesn’t make sense to me.

@bows22 I have wondered this same thing. The only explanation I could guess at is that the other forum may have more members, so maybe there is even more to learn from other people?
I belong to other private groups on FB for my reproductive immunology issues. It’s the only way I’ve been able to learn everything I’ve needed to learn to get to the bottom of my issues. But I will say that this has consumed a ton of my time and energy. MH knows it’s helped us a lot, but my hours on these sites has definitely caused some friction between us at times. I can’t imagine belonging to and being very active on two pregnancy sites just for the fun of it.

@keikilove agreed, I can't imagine being active on two sites for for the heck of it. Like if you're not getting the kind of support you need from one of them, go somewhere else. Don't straddle the line.

MH was initially extremely jealous that I spent so much time on TB and had all these people to talk to when he had nobody to turn to. He used to get really snappy when I'd be on my phone (even if it wasn't TB related) and accuse me of confiding in them/you more than I did in him. Then I had to explain that since they don't know the ins and outs of our daily lives, it takes me more time to explain how I'm feeling and why, whereas we're living it, I don't need to explain it to him, he sees when I'm upset and he can offer support in the form of a hug or can take over chores if I need a break, etc. Over time he has come to really appreciate the support network I have through TB and will even say things like "did you talk to your girls about it? What do they think?"

Anyone that needs more than one site for support clearly isn't in the right place.

@bows22 I guess my FFFC is that I do lurk another sort of forum, but basically just because I am on the app (I’m not sure if we can mention names of other apps, but it is color themed...) for other reasons and I came across a sub that is literally just memes and jokes about the vagaries of TTC and so I followed. I don’t post because I am way too lazy for that, but I do do save some of the funny ones!

I had saved these for Friday funnies, but I forgot to post it haha

@kiki047 my DH was like that too. Jealous that I had a place to talk about all this stuff while he didn't (not that he'd be one to want to chat with people anyway!). I've been more open with him about the conversations we have here and he's really noticed how I've made connections with others here and I think that makes him happy that I'm happy doing it. He also loves when I tell him that you all laughed at one of this jokes.

I have a FB group I’m apart of that has sub groups for charting and one is TTC. It isn’t anything like this though. It’s basically a place where you get help with interpreting charts and you help other people interpret their charts. I like looking at people’s charts because it helps me see a wide variety of different things so when I’m trying to decide what is happening in mine I can compare it to things I have already seen. I have been apart of that group for years. It doesn’t have a community feel like TB. So I don’t really view it the same.

@emeraldcity1214 Same with my FB groups. They are more medical/factual/links to research & articles. Nowhere near the personal connections that TB provides.

@keikilove Exactly. Those groups have so many members and different people posting all the time. I don’t even recognize anyone’s name aside from a few that post regularly. I’m also a member of the Tempdrop FB group but they announce things in that group about the device and the CEO is active in that group. I can post about issues I’m having and get help troubleshooting or speak to someone who runs the support team. Which I actually did with my recent issue. It was much faster than waiting for email responses that take up to 48 hours to be reviewed.

Ok, my unrelated FFFC is that I almost always bump from my phone, and I don’t get options for how big the gifs are that I save to my phone. Once in awhile I log into TB from my laptop and I am appalled by how large some of my gifs are. I’m sorry everyone! If you have any tips for me to fix this, lemme know.😳🙃

@keikilove 😳 I only ever mobile bump and it literally just occurred to me that gifs are different sizes. Have I been starting threads with massive gifs!? Am I that clueless boomer?!

I know my gifs are probably huge but it’s that or nothing @inthewoods23 that does make me feel better because I always do try to spoiler it unless I’m starting the thread.

@keikilove there is a way to fix it but it involves going into the desktop version of the site on your phone and it’s too much work for me (my second FFFC maybe?)

@inthewoods23 Thanks for the “Spoil and DGAF”! 😄 Sometime I’m even too lazy to spoil because my phone loves to play games with the spoiler and I get stuck in the box, or get triple spoilers within each box etc. aaaahh, the joys of bumping.

@keikilove but why do I remember the instructions being posted so clearly that I was able to find them in 5 minutes? Why am I not using my brain power for something better?

Although it might have stuck with me because I was so afraid that lulu was going to hate me and my giant gifs
