@gusgus14 WHAT???!!! That is CRIMINAL. It’s just one uterus, one person doing the u/s, one appointment—who cares how many babies are there?!
  • @ccmrc143 my thoughts exactly! I mean, I knew as soon as they are born it’ll be double everything for doctor’s appointments but now?! Totally caught off guard.
  • tf? that's insane!?!

  • My mom is going to make me lose my mind. We had the highest number of new cases reported since the start of the pandemic today. And my mom, aunt and grandmother are going stay at the casino to eat the butter Monday night. I’m gonna lose it!

  • @mkc3888 a casino😬 that just sounds like a breeding ground for covid.

  • @mkc3888 what does "eat the butter" mean? I googled it before asking, I promise. I hope I can use it in a sentence myself tonight.
  • @ec1212 I googled it too but I couldn’t find anything 😂
  • @ec1212 @ckmb_1250 same.  glad i'm not the only one!
  • English is my second language so I just assumed I didn't know that saying 😅
  • What are you guys doing for a covid safe babymoon?

I "scheduled" a home babymoon the week end of Valentine's day, we could just splurge, order in all our meals and do a home spa type of thing. Yesterday, I thought that maybe we could spend 1-2 night in a really nice hotel in our city and do the same. I think if we do with that I'll do it earlier in February to avoid Valentine's Day price.
  • @gusgus14 it probably is buffet 😂😂😂
  • @mimser we’re not really doing a babymoon because we already have a vacation scheduled for the spring with our daughter but for that we’re renting a cabin near Great Smoky Mountains National Park and don’t plan on eating in any restaurants or anything. We are planning on a train excursion but won’t book anything for that until we’re closer to March and we’ll reevaluate based on the numbers then. If we have to nix that part we will.
  • Doh! Buffet is probably right. I was thinking it was some insider gambling saying!!

But that makes it so much worse!! Who wants to eat from an effing buffet with Covid? Are they even legal right now?!!
  • @gusgus14 i think you are right!!

unsure if we are even doing a babymoon.  if we are, def not calling it that.  we had plans to do a big house expansion this year and have been putting it off.  now we are scrambling to see if it can be done by the end of april.  being due 5/23, i cannot imagine entering May without a nursery to furnish/living elsewhere.  though maybe depending on timing we will try to go somewhere end of jan/early feb.  DH already seems like he's itching for a vacation!
  • @mimser we aren’t doing one mainly because we have a toddler and no childcare (we haven’t even been on a date since last December 😬) but if it was just my husband and I, I think the hotel idea sounds really nice!
We are thinking about doing a beach cabin type thing a few months after baby is born, as long as baby is doing well with feeding etc.
  • @mimser I was trying to book a hotel for our second anniversary, because during our first his dad had a health emergency. But I got such a good deal on a suite, that happened to have two beds, that he wants to make it a family thing. It would've been a great babymoon. Nice hotel, good restaurants. I have a 6 weeks to change his mind, but the real problem is a then 15 month old who can't last two hours without me. 😅
  • @mimser before this current covid spike, we were going to do an Airbnb in the mountains where DH can ski and I can hang out by the fire with the dog. I bet we can still make it happen but probably more like March instead of Jan or Feb. I love the idea of staying in a local nice hotel or getting all takeout and doing a true staycation at home!
