Upcoming Appointments? 11/16 (u/s and NIPT!)
Cravings/Symptoms? last night I decided I was in the mood for frozen pizza. That was weird. Nausea might be fading a little, but then it comes back when I have certain things. Hoping the nausea is fading and I not just me getting used to it!
How are you doing? Rants/Raves/Randoms? Tired, but hanging in there. Getting tired of hiding it, especially since my STM bump is getting hard to hide. Hoping it's not all bloat. I think there is a real bump starting now.

How far along are you? 7+2

Upcoming Appointments? TODAY. Sorry for caps, but so nervous

Cravings/Symptoms? Feeling a bit better today, yesterday I was wiped and super nauseated all day. Junk food is still all I want, every day. Anything else turns my stomach when I try to force it down. Case in point: yesterday was awful, nausea-wise, but I had no problem eating a whole box of mac & cheese and pepperoni & sausage pizza. Salad? Utterly disgusting, couldn't do it. Fruit? Forced a banana, didn't go well.

How are you doing? Rants/Raves/Randoms? Very nervous about my first scan today. I also won't see my normal doctor since she's out of town, and I haven't heard good reviews of the one I am going to see (not that it much matters, I don't have any questions and will get my normal OB next time). Work-wise, was happy to see the list of the transition team and recognize some names. We worked really well with them last time, and looking forward to working with them again.

    Questions? none right now
  • @DoubleUp8 Yay for nausea fading, that gives me hope I only have a few more weeks of this. I don’t remember it lasting more than a few weeks with DD so I bet it is just fading for you.

@akoros FX for a great appt today! I can pretty much only eat meats and carbs so I totally feel you on that.

How far along are you? 7+6

Upcoming Appointments? Next ultrasound on 11/24 (and last with my RE if it goes well). Blood work on Monday to make sure the estrogen weaning is going okay.

Cravings/Symptoms? Still no major or consistent cravings, I am starving but everything is just kind of meh. Still exhausted and nauseous.

How are you doing? Rants/Raves/Randoms? Doing pretty good this week. I was supposed to be in an all-day deposition today but it got cancelled last minute so now I don’t really know what to do with myself all day! I might just take a vacation day and knock out some home projects that I haven’t had time for.

    Questions? NATM

  • @akoros I hope your appointment goes well! Yes to eating a whole box of mac and cheese!

@legallykate I had coffee today, which I think made my stomach a little off, but so totally worth it for the normalcy of bringing my travel mug of coffee to the office, even if it was half milk and half coffee. Extra calcium, right? As the 6/1 lady, I feel like I need to lead the way in feeling better! I hope you take a vacation day and enjoy a break!

  • Going to pop in here. I apologize in advance if my formatting is wonky. I'm on mobile.
@DoubleUp8 hopefully it is actually the nausea fading for you! Fingers crossed for a good appointment next week!!
@akoros Any updates from today's appointment? Hoping for good news! Sorry your nausea is acting up. I hope it gets better!
@legallykate did you end up taking a vacation day? I hope your labs go well next week and that you can graduate from RE soon!!

How far along are you? 7+5
Upcoming Appointments? next ObGyn appointment is 12/3
Cravings/Symptoms? I've completely forgotten what cravings are and I can't enjoy food anymore. My hyperemesis is awful.
How are you doing? Rants/Raves/Randoms? I'm on IV fluids twice a week. I've been largely absent the last week because my hyperemesis has me lagging a ton in school and finals are next week so I can't afford to fall behind. I was in the hospital a week ago for severe dehydration and I now have a standing appointment every Monday and Thursday with the local infusion center. We added Reglan to my Diclegis and Zofran combo at the beginning of the week. I'm so happy to be pregnant but my body HATES being pregnant.

  • @ashaislurking Just got back, took forever! (no bad reason, they just got a new computer system so it's all messed up) So far so good, HB was 150 and size looked about right so they're going to stick with a June 29th due date for now.

@_orchid_ If I remember correctly, did you have an appointment today, too?
  • How far along are you? 10+6
Upcoming appointments? NIPT blood draw tomorrow - couldn’t squeeze both appts in today
Cravings/Symptoms? Iced lemon water and sparkling apple juice. I do eat actual food, but man are those hitting the spot!
    How are you doing? Rants/Raves/Randoms?
Had my first midwife appointment today and they did an US. So cool to actually see a little head and arms wiggling around!
    Questions? NATM
  • @DoubleUp8 I hear you on the roving nausea. Keep thinking mine is getting better, then it’ll hit out of nowhere.
@akoros congrats on a good appointment! I can’t even deal with the thought of salad right now, so good for you for trying.
@legallykate hope you took a vacation day today!
@ashaislurking good luck on finals next week! Hope your extra med helps do the trick, that sounds miserable!
  • @ashaislurking, I was wondering about you and figured it may have been the HG keeping you away. I’m so sorry. I hope your new Med helps and good luck on finals!

  • How far along are you? 9+5
Upcoming Appointments? Just had one today! Next one is 11/30. NIPT is tomorrow or Monday.
Cravings/Symptoms? The strawberry/acai refresher from Starbucks. It is the one drink I can down in minutes and not feel nauseous about it.
How are you doing? Rants/Raves/Randoms? Nausea is still hanging around but between Zofran and Diclegis, at least it is at bay more often than not. Started gaining weight and have a small bump started, good thing I am working from home for foreseeable future. I have been walking so much more though! I am happy the weather is perfect fall for long walks!
Questions? Anyone ever done the NIPT too early? Debating between going tomorrow which might be 9+5 or 10? Or if I should wait until Monday just to be sure.

@DoubleUp8 Yes! For real there is more than blump there! Even the OB commented that my uterus is tight when he was feeling my stomach. He said perfectly normal for second time (+) pregnancies.
    @akoros Yay for good appointment!
@legallykate Hope you had a productive day at home! And good luck with blood work next week. I hope everything continues going smoothly for your graduation!
@ashaislurking Oh girl! I am so sorry your hg is so bad! Hope the new med helps. Good luck with finals!
@halfanewt Yes! We saw our little one wiggling so much today! Was very cool. Never gets old to see them grow and change. Yay for a good appointment! We will be NIPT week wait buddies!

  • How far along are you? 9w3d
Upcoming Appointments? Nov 16th I have an appt with my OB to go over any upcoming tests that need booked and forms for and to go over my recent ultrasound results.
Cravings/Symptoms? I've had quite a few different cravings. My big major one has been Mcchickens from McDicks lol and cucumbers and eating pickled things like vinegar etc. Also, the other day was mozzarella sticks. My back hurts, boobs feel full and tender. Im bloated and constipated.
How are you doing? Im doing ok. Still feeling tired but not as bad as i have been which is nice.
Rants/Raves/Randoms? My skin has been the shits :( breaking out in pimples alot or its a rash of some sort. Its on my face and on my right side of my neck which seems weird 🤷‍♀️ If its not one this with pregnancy its another LOL
    Questions? NATM

@ramzlau GL with your NIPT tomorrow/Monday. Hope all is well. Im glad your able to get alot of longs walks in and weather is nice. Its crappy and rainy here lol I did my NIPT at 10 and a half weeks along. It was perfect and worked out for that time. I've never done it earlier though but have heard if you go too early it can't get enough DNA to give you results and it would be void. I would wait till Monday but thats just me.

@halfanewt Man so many NIPT draws lately. GL with yours tomorrow too. I hate the wait for the results. Its torture lol I saw mine wiggling around too. Its soo amazing to see 🥰

@DoubleUp8 I hope your nausea fades away and doesn't come back. I feel ya on the bloat.

@akoros Mmm Mac and cheese and pizza sound soo good haha.

@legallykate I hope your estrogen weaning is going well and the bloodtest is fine. Hopefully you were able to take a good vacation day off.

@ashaislurking I'm so sorry your feeling so sick and your hypermesis is so bad. You poor thing. My heart goes out to you. So sorry you had to spend some time at the hospital and are on IV fluids twice a week. Thats rough. I hope your able to get a break and start feeling better soon. Sending you hugs ❤ GL with your school finals.
  • @halfanewt I'm so glad you got to see the LO for your ultrasound today! I hope your NIPT tomorrow comes back great! Fingers crossed!
@ramzlau I'm glad the zofran/diclegis combo is helping with your nausea and that the weather is holding up for walks!
@mindyb2019 I hope your appointment next week goes well! Sorry the random symptoms seem to be popping up for you. I started breaking out this week too. Just another weird way the body reacts to hormone changes.

  • @DoubleUp8 yay for a real bump! Haha as an end of month person I feel like you're light years ahead of me. Hope this is it for naseua for you!!
@akoros yay for a great appointment! I had an appt on Wednesday and it went well too. I hear ya on eating the junk! During my pregnancy with ds2 I literally threw up every time I ate lettuce between weeks 7-15 and really embraced life without lettuce 😂
@legallykate yay for an unexpected free day! How are you feeling with the estrogen weaning?
@ashaislurking hi friend!! So happy to see you post. I'm sorry you've been so sick and are on IV fluids. Good luck with school and your exams next week!
@halfanewt good luck with your blood draw today! I'm glad you had a good appt today too, so cool that you can see babe moving around already. I've been eating lemon and lime popsicles that have been so good.
@ramzlau yay for your good appointment too! No experience with NIPT to share. I am jealous of your walks, I really need to start trying to move around more- I've been such a lump.
@mindyb2019 mmm mozzarella sticks around amazing!! Glad you're starting to feel better. I had a bad breakout around 4 weeks but just have macne (mask acne 😂😭) going on now.
  • How far along are you? 7+3
Upcoming Appointments? Had one on Wednesday that went well! Next one is 11/25 that feels so far away
Cravings/Symptoms? Comfort food. Really wanted plain pasta buttered and with parm cheese on it yesterday. Taco bell also sounds delicious lol. Feeling very queasy still and I need to take a hard 20/30 minute nap in the late afternoon to make it through the evening. Getting itchy to deep clean my house and organize everything before we bring Christmas stuff in and the intense anger I am feeling at clutter is making me think it's nesting already
How are you doing? Rants/Raves/Randoms? This week was a lot less crazy! Following up from last week, I've been emailing back and forth with the guy from 23&me and from the information I sent him he thinks he's id'd his potential birth mother. I think he's off a generation, but he's going to see if he can find any relation to her paternal side as i am on her maternal side. The crazy thing about it is we got her information from her mother's obituary, which was published exactly a week before he contacted me. It seems like a huge coincidence.
My abscess from last week got much bigger and more painful at the beginning of this week, and I ended up in urgent care Wednesday for it. They started talking about me going to the hospital for iv antibiotics so pgal anxiety got pretty bad. Fortunately it seems like Wednesday night was a turning point and the swelling has been going down. I'll probably end up on another round of antibiotics but am hoping it's going to be ok.

@ramzlau I'd wait until Monday as well, for my NIPT I was told to wait until I was well into the 10th week

@_orchid_ I'm so sorry you had to deal with all that stress. Hopefully it's getting better now

Glad to hear everyone's appointments went well!
  • Went in for the NIPT and they took 9 vials! 9!! Apparently they also test for comprehensive everything at the start of a pregnancy (managed to block that memory from last time, I guess) so 8 vials for them and 1 for NIPT. Yeesh.

@mindyb2019 Now I want mozz sticks. Yum!

@_orchid_ that 23&me story is so cool! Hope he finds the info he’s looking for.
  • @halfanewt 9 viles?? Holy crap. thats alot. Sorry. After that you definitely deserve to eat some mozzarella sticks 😆
  • @ashaislurking I'm sorry your hyperemesis is keeping you down. Good luck with finals!

@akoros glad your appointment went well!

@halfanewt glad the u/s looked good. I hope the blood draw went fast!

@ramzlau I'm glad to know it's not just in my heart and I'm not alone. We'll see what the doctor says on Monday! Glad you are keeping the nausea at bay and gaining a little weight.

@mindyb2019 yes on the McChicken, that sounds amazing. We had loaded baked potatoes for dinner last night and they but the spot. Sorry you're breaking out!

@_orchid_ I'm glad you seen to have turned the corner and your swelling it going down. Clutter had been driving me crazy, but I've been to tired to deal with it.

@halfanewt 9 vials! That's a lot! Hoping that don't take that much on Monday at my appointment!

Ugh my armpit bumps still aren't gone so went back to urgent care today (found out this week my GP is out until JULY so I need to find a new GP...) for another look at them/more antibiotics. The Dr I saw that said it's extremely rare for abscess to not liquify for drainage at this point so thinks they may actually be cysts that got infected and should be surgically removed. The infection seems to thankfully be going down but wtf armpits. Will be calling around to surgeons this week and trying to find a new GP.
  • @_orchid_ 🙈🙈 aw man! That’s terrible! Good luck finding a good new GP. It’s my least favorite thing. Looking for doctors 🥴
  • Wow @_orchid_ that sounds crazy! Hope you get some answers this week from a surgeon and hopefully a clearer plan of action. And like @mc0303 I hate finding new doctors. GL!
  • @_orchid_ I'm sorry your bumps got bigger. How is it feeling now? Any luck finding a new doc?

I'm getting a PICC line placed tomorrow morning at 9am because we're running out of IV access spots for fluids. Hopefully things go smoothly with that. How is everyone else doing this week?

  • They're shrinking so it seems like the infection is gone but still hard and protruding. Oddly enough DH had a cyst surgically removed from almost the same spot a few years ago, so I'll probably try to meet with the same surgeon that did his, but assume that won't be possible until after June (he was put under general anesthesia). I have an appointment next week with my dermatologist, and a few local friends have recommended gps so starting to look at their practices. Like seriously, this couldn't have happened at any other time??
  • @_orchid_ that sounds like such a pain! I'm glad the infection seems to be going away at least. Sending you all the good vibes as you search for doctors!

  • @_orchid_ sorry this is all happening at once. I'm glad you do not have an infection anymore, but I'm sorry you still have bumps. At least you know what to expect for surgery with DH's experience. I hope you can see the same doctor.
