Random, but this period of time has been so isolating and boring and so I’m thankful that DH and I both like to cook and bake because it gives me something happy to focus on.
@ccmrc143 I agree! I'm thankful for my oven. And for takeout. I could spend two or three hours to make something I'm craving. But sometimes it's so satisfying if it comes ready to eat. And I'm thankful for willing dishwashers (the people variety).
Thankful I have some energy back, have gotten to see three of my closest friends in person in the past few days and that I finally was able to concentrate long enough last night to pick and finalize our wedding photos for our album (we got married 8/8). Hoping we get a couple back in time to use for our Christmas cards.
Oh! Thankful for our first holiday season as a married couple.
@ec1212 Congrats!! and you're doing better than us. We got married in May 2015, and didn't have our album until Aug of 2019. I finally gave up on having any input from DH, and made it with my MIL. I know it's cheesy, but I'm so thankful for my DH. He's really struggling with burnout, and has too many things on his plate, but he works so hard to take care of me and the boys.
Album? Lol, well we are behind. Together since 2005, married since 2016, and haven’t even updated my wall pictures let alone order an album. I’m hoping to get that done during this strange time though! Usually we are SO busy with kids activities and sports that I’m constantly running around. So I’m thankful for the slower pace, even though the cause is terrible, it’s nice to have more relaxing time.
My MIL is coming this weekend and staying for a month. It's a long time, but I won't have to do laundry, cook, or do dishes for an ENTIRE MONTH. So, one can say I'm looking forward to this.
@texas_t that sounds glorious. wanna send her to our house after?!
I know that a lot of married people take a long time before getting their album 😂. I'm antsy because we weren't able to have any family with us for the wedding (which was devastating - we just had 6 friends with us) and I'm excited to share photos with them to make it more real and have them be a part of it that way. Hopefully we can have a big bash next year to celebrate our marriage AND our new little family.
I'm thankful that I was able to get in with the OBGYN I wanted. She's the only one I've met before that I'd want. She saw my mom after an ER visit for postmenopausal bleeding and was so kind and answered all her questions etc. And She's just coming back from maternity leave. So I really lucked out!
