@_orchid_@klj0228 so true! I try to meal prep but that mostly goes out the window because whatever I planned for never sounds good when its time to make it
I am happy to report I ate my leftover spaghetti and it tasted great. It smelled awful to me, but everyone else said it smelled great. Now I am eating candy because potato chips and candy don’t hurt my stomach.
@tilournextadventure I'm not saying my PUQE score, I might be run off the board. That said, it's still early days, so I also don't want to jinx it (what nausea I did get before arrived closer to week 7 or 8)
@_orchid_ and @akoros I definitely get not wanting to jinx it. I was put on meds the day of my first beta because of my hyperemesis history so I knew fully what to expect. Doesn't make me want to complain any less because I'm borderline miserable BUT I knew what to expect. On the flip side of that I'll 100% take symptoms because I'm pregnant any day of the week over no symptoms because I'm not pregnant.
My score is low too but I’m only 6+4. That being said, I see nothing on this chart about exhaustion, constipation, hemorrhoids, husbands cooking smelly foods or a presidential election so let’s all agree that we are equally uncomfortable. 🤢

I’m 9 + 3. Mainly I just feel pretty exhausted at night, sore boobs but more so at night. I’ve been going to bed around 8-8:30 but last night felt pretty energized until close to 10, which of course makes me nervous. I’ve had just a tad bit of nausea but it doesn’t last long. I mostly am dealing with insatiable hunger, but nothing really sounds good unless it’s junk. 🙄 Which is really pissing me off because I eat so healthy, especially the last couple years.
I thought energy came back more towards the second tri - is it normal to start feeling just a tad more energy at 9 weeks? I wonder if it’s because the placenta is starting to take over some of the work at this point?

@mamakate2011 it could also just be a good day. My symptoms fluctuate pretty regularly. I'll have a little more energy one day or less nausea, then the next day it is back with a vengeance. Everything fluctuates so much in the first tri.
I'm 7 weeks today. I called my doctor yesterday and asked for a prescription. He put me on Promethazine and I already feel more like a human being! I'm a little tired, and have a feeling my milk supply is going to dry up, but I can actually function now.
@sugarcoateddonut - Each pregnancy has gotten worse for me 😞 But I've heard that's not true for everyone!
Kinda weird symptom but has anyone else ever had dandruff during pregnancy?? my scalp is bad and soo dry, itchy, patchy and flaky its driving me nuts. Im not sure if there is anything thats safe i can take or use? It started many many months ago in my last pregnancy. It ended in July and I guess it didn't have enough time to go away before getting pregnant again and it's just continued into this one
@mamakate2011 i don’t know when it’s normal for energy to return, but I’m also in My 9th week and have noticed I’ve been feeling better, particularly when doing something active - I haven’t gotten totally exhausted mid workout the last few times. That being said I’m still falling asleep sitting up on my couch around 8:00 every night, so who knows!
@mindyb2019 I haven't had dandruff, but my skin does tend to get super dry and itchy. In my last pregnancy I actually invested in back scratchers because it drove me nuts.
@mindyb2019 I get dandruff like crazy when pregnant, but I also have seborrheic dermatitis not pregnant so it may be that just gets aggravated. The only thing that works for me is Nizoral shampoo, which my doctor cleared. I only use it a couple times a week.
Apparently a lot of women suddenly get seborrheic dermatitis when pregnant, apparently the out of whack hormones cause it. It is basically adult cradle cap... so that's fun 😆.
@artsiefartsie ya mine could very well be the dermatitis too. I have an appt to see my Dr tomorrow about it so we will see what he says it is. After my last pregnancy ended in July I started using Nizoral too and I loved that stuff and felt it really helped but I stopped using it since I found out I was pregnant again cause I thought it wasn't safe to use? Yay oh goody. Adult cradle cap. The joys of hormones in pregnancy 😆
yeah, my dr told me that the pregnancy issue with Ketoconazole (the active ingredient) is if you were taking it orally. She assured me there are no known issues with using it topically, especially the extremely small amount found in the shampoo. I still tried to limit it as much as I could though.
But I know every dr is different, so I'd definitely ask if your dr is okay with it! ❤
I am not doing well, ladies. On Sunday I started v-ing/heaving non stop until early Tuesday morning despite being on zofran and phenegran and uni/b6. I went into the midwife office for fluids and IV zofran and my urine was atrocious. We’re trying legit diclegis and continuing to rotate the other 2 but I’m still unable to keep solids down, and water is dicey sometimes too. I’m praying this is short lived and goes away before too long. I am miserable and truly don’t have a lifestyle (3 kids, DH works nights, I work FT and am in grad school online) that supports this.

@disgruntled_pelican oh no that’s terrible were your other pregnancies this bad? Hoping that you’re overcoming the worst of it and that it gets better real soon!

@mindyb2019 I have super dry scalp too. It’s driving me crazy!
@disgruntled_pelican I am so sorry you are so sick! I hope they can help get it more manageable soon. Sounds like you are too busy to be sick like this.
@marebear15 reading that you have been sicker in subsequent pregnancies gives me zero hope. I have heard people say not everyone has it worse in other pregnancies, but I’ve never talked to anyone with HG who had it easier the S+ time around.
@disgruntled_pelican oh no, that is AWFUL. And you have soooo much on your plate! I just have the three kids part and feel totally overwhelmed. I wish there was something I could do for you!

@disgruntled_pelican That sounds absolutely miserable! I'm so sorry, I wish I could do something to help give you some relief. Sending you love and all the anti-nausea energy!
@disgruntled_pelican wow!! Thats alot. Man your plate is full girl. Im so sorry your feeling so sick. I hope it goes away for you soon so you can function. That sounds miserable.. hang in there!

Any STM+s puke their entire first pregnancy and have a better subsequent pregnancy? Holding out hope it won't last 9 months this time lol!

my score is 5, △⃒⃘lways nausea without any throwing up or dry heaving.
I’m exhausted and then add in political stress and I’m just... blah. Luckily was able to call it early at work today and took a half day off.
