Re: All Due Date Check-In w/o 10/26

  • Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 4/29; 13 + 4

    FTM/STM/STM+: STM

Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Finding out - it's a looooong wait!

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: I believe a lemon...

    Upcoming appointments: 11/20

How are you feeling?: So. Much. Better!!! Most of the queasiness has subsided and made way for heartburn instead. I also don't feel the need to constantly eat. My back hurts more than it ever did in my first pregnancy too, which blows! I'm not used to back pain.

Rants/Raves: A rant pertaining to body image... I hate this stage of pregnancy. My stomach is huge (they're not kidding when they say you show faster with subsequent pregnancies!) but it's not hard yet, so it still flumps over my maternity jeans and I just feel gross. I keep telling myself, "You're not fat, just pregnant," but the doctor gave me such a complex last time with my weight that I'm already freaking out about weight gain. I just wish I could relax and enjoy being pregnant without worrying about how big my stomach is and comparing it to other women's bumps and even comparing it to how mine looked last time!!

    Questions:

GTKY: What's your favorite vacation spot? Definitely Cape Cod! I love being near the beach. I grew up going to the Cape year-round because my grandmother lived there, so my family knows all the side streets and all the good places to go that aren't too touristy.

  • @riff323 glad you’re feeling better!  It’s always such a sigh of relief once the 2nd kicks in and you don’t feel sick and have a somewhat normal level of energy. I also hate this stage where I just feel fat - I stop looking at the scale at my appointments and just remind myself that I know I can take it back off once the baby is here. FWIW I am tall and usually very lean and put on 50lb with my twins, and 50lb again with my singleton, despite working out throughout my pregnancy. Take it with a grain of salt.

    Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 13 +2

    FTM/STM/STM+: STM+ (baby #4)

    Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Green!

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a shrimp (didn’t say if it was a normal shrimp or a jumbo shrimp or...???)

Upcoming appointments: Anatomy scan on 12/1 is my next due to COVID.

How are you feeling?: Physically, the nausea is starting to settle down, but last night it was pretty fierce. But, I also feel fat.  Mentally, feeling relieved since our NIPT came back as normal this morning.

Rants/Raves: Rant: I have a 3 hour nonsense training this morning and tomorrow that is so boring I laid down during the second half this morning.  Rave: it ended early today so I made buffalo chicken dip that I am now eating. Also a rave for normal NIPT and the fact that I didn’t have to wait for the results until Nov 3 like it said online.

    Questions: None

GTKY: What's your favorite vacation spot? I really love Carolina Beach, NC if we’re going as a family, and I really loved Punta Cana, DR if it’s just my husband and I. Basically if it’s a vacation, I need a beach. :)

  • Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: April 22nd, 14w and some days

    FTM/STM/STM+: 4th pregnancy, 3rd baby

Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: finding out in mid November! 🎉

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: the size of a peach and according to my bump homepage baby will fit in a mug today 😂

Upcoming appointments: anatomy scan next month

How are you feeling?: slightly more human? Maybe? Eating is becoming easier and I’m spending more time sitting upright doing things, and homeschool has gotten much easier! I’ve been feeling kind of crashy lately - that’s what we call it anyways. Like when you need to eat and feel shaky and kind of woozy. I’ve laid off on the snacking since my stomach is feeling somewhat more normal, but I guess that’s not great for my blood sugar.

Rants/Raves: I had an early dentist appointment today (boo) but everything looks good (yay!) which I was worried about after having my first filling a few weeks ago. There’s a couple spots they’re watching, but my X-rays were good and they once again told me how pregnancy is hard on your teeth. 😬

Other than that, I’m excited that people know I’m pregnant now but am tired of everyone saying “don’t you want a booooy?!” Since we have two girls. Honestly, a boy would be fun but kind of scary because boys are unknown territory for us! And a girl would be nice because we know about baby girls and have all the girl things already. Seriously, I’ll be happy either way and I wish people would stop assuming that I need a boy. End rant!

    Questions:

GTKY: What's your favorite vacation spot? The beach! We have a sweet older couple at our church that have freely offered us their beach house. It’s in Topsail Island NC and it’s on the sound and beautiful. My profile picture on here was from a sunset there this past summer. It’s so quiet and relaxing there!

  • Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 14w0d April 26th

    FTM/STM/STM+: STM

    Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Finding out

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: Peach

    Upcoming appointments: 11/16

How are you feeling?: Hungry, chubby, pants too tight

Rants/Raves: Now that I have a belly at only 3 months I'm starting to freak out about how big I'm going to get. My first pregnancy I didn't show until 5 months.

Questions: I haven't been working out and I feel really guilty about it.  Working full time and hanging out with a 4 year old during my off time leaves me exhausted.  Anyone else in my boat?

GTKY: What's your favorite vacation spot? Isla Holbox, Quintana Roo, MX.  My husband asked me to be his GF there years ago, very special spot.

  • Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: April 16, 15w4d

    FTM/STM/STM+: 4TM

    Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: PINK!

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: SpongeBob Square Pants (really?)

Upcoming appointments: Nov 4, 16w OB, and Nov 18, Anatomy Scan

How are you feeling?: I'm fine. This pregnancy has been mostly a breeze except for exhaustion. It worries me since I have a previous loss.

Rants/Raves: A huge cold front came through! I might even have to use the heat!

    Questions: Negatory

GTKY: What's your favorite vacation spot? Disneyland. In the off season, no tourists, and the locals run and hide from the rain.

  • @BuckeyeNut05 @bbrahmbhatt thank you both for the support!

@bblair24 people keep pushing a boy on me too and I honestly don't care what we get, I just want a healthy baby!

@aguamala saaaaame. This is part of my reason for freaking out about weight gain! I basically look at 3 months like I did at 5 months last time. At least we're not alone!

@aisukurimsarang yay for refreshing cold fronts!

  • Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 17+2

    FTM/STM/STM+: FTM

    Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Team Green

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: Baby is the size of a baked potato haha :)

Upcoming appointments: Anatomy scan coming up in 2 and a half weeks, next regular appointment 11/16

How are you feeling?: Feeling energetic and pretty good for the most part! If it wasn't for this little bump that's growing and feels like it's in my way, I'd probably forget I was pregnant most of the time! As others have mentioned, its kind of an annoying time where I basically just look kind of fat, rather than pregnant. Still experiencing a lot of acid reflux, but happy that at least my eating has pretty much returned to normal for the most part.

Rants/Raves: Exhaustion seems to hit me out of nowhere. I feel energetic, but then I do a few things and the tiredness just hits me very suddenly. Then once I get too tired, I also get like an irritable 5 year old and just want to be left alone haha.

Questions: While we're all talking about our favorite vacation spots, I'm wondering - is anyone venturing out for a babymoon?

GTKY: What's your favorite vacation spot? I have so many - DH and I love to travel. Paris is definitely up there in the favorites. I also love Disney World :) Both of our parents are "snow birds" that spend the winters in Florida, so we visit them pretty often in south Florida. My mom keeps trying to convince us to come down for a week or two in November or December. I would love to but just won't because of covid. Ugh :(

  • Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 14+4

    FTM/STM/STM+: STM+

    Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Green

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: Navel orange

Upcoming appointments: 16 week check on election day

How are you feeling?: Overall good. Latest weirdness is sudden allergy symptoms

Rants/Raves: Still happy about baby's good report (NIPT)

    Questions: No

GTKY: What's your favorite vacation spot? Tough to choose! Lately I've been thinking about Siesta Key, so I'll go with there. I haven't been since pre kids and think it would be fun for everyone.

  • @riff323 my Grandma lived there too, I miss visiting. Such a special place.
  • @riff323 I am comparing my bump photos from last pregnancy and I already look like I did at 20 weeks now (at 14 and some days).  Argh!

    Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 14 +4

    FTM/STM/STM+: STM

    Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: finding out

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: troll doll

Upcoming appointments: telehealth appointment on 11/9, and then scheduling the anatomy scan!

How are you feeling?:  OK, but very emotional.  I've also been having indigestion.

Rants/Raves: Ugh politics. It's a mess and I just can't wait until the election is over/settled (assuming it goes the way it's looking/I'm hoping).

    Questions:

GTKY: What's your favorite vacation spot?  Hmm I used to travel a lot and would rarely go back to the same spot twice, with the exception of my annual extended family vacation down the Jersey shore.  We all rent a big house for a week or two (20+ people now) and just hang out.  We've been doing this since I was 2 or 3.  Of course we missed this past summer, but I'm hoping to be able to go next summer with the new baby and our son who will be 2.5 then.  It's probably not my favorite spot to vacation but I do love the family time, especially now with kids.  It's nice to have people around to help!

  • @emeraldisle17 yes, I know what you mean! I grew up going to disney every year, DH went once or twice as a child, so he goes more to humor me and because it makes me happy, rather than cause he loves it. I'm thinking once we have kids of our own though, he'll see the magic :)
  • @emeraldisle17 @theblondebump. Same. My parents are from the LA area and I still have a lot of family out there. We went to Cali every year, and it always included a trip to Disneyland. I continued that with my DD until about 2007 when it just got too expensive. Now, we go every 3 to 5 years.

I'm hoping to get SO to fall in love with it by seeing it through the eyes of our children.

Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: EDD April 2, so 18 weeks tomorrow!

    FTM/STM/STM+: STM

Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Team pink over here :)

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: oye I don't know- I've been TERRIBLE at checking that stuff!

Upcoming appointments: Had one last week so the anatomy scan (in two weeks) will be next!

How are you feeling?: Good, just tired. Eating so many sweets but whatevs- hard to stop when working from home with halloween candy around!

Rants/Raves: feeling frustrated by not having an "office" to work in at home, but so grateful I can be home during this time so it evens out. Also my cousin (best friend) just moved to my neighborhood so I am ECSTATIC to have her here and go through this with her-- she has a 9 month old so hoping we can join a bubble together in some way

Questions: none. I'm seriously so much less involved this time around, for better or worse. Going by quickly, distracted by work, son, and pandemic so just getting through each day and then I remember I have a bump and a baby growing ..

GTKY: What's your favorite vacation spot? Anywhere Europe. Grew up traveling abroad every year and am so lucky my family had that as a priority (my dad is from London so we often started by seeing family then taking off to other spots/countries, then my sister moved to London for a few years so I would visit often)- I love getting to see other cultures and be immersed in them for a few weeks a year and can't wait to travel again once everything settles with Covid.

  • Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 17+2; April 6th

    FTM/STM/STM+: STM

Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Stillllll can't commit to either finding out or staying team green.

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a pomegranate

Upcoming appointments: Nov. 18th for anatomy scan

How are you feeling?: Pretty good! Started feeling the baby move a little bit-- those first little flutters.

Rants/Raves: None really. Nothing is big/exciting enough to be rant or rave worthy. Just business as usual, I suppose.

    Questions: nope

GTKY: What's your favorite vacation spot? I don't think I have a specific favorite spot to frequent for vacation. But my favorite vacation was the week DH and I spent island hopping in Hawaii. I'd do that again in a heartbeat.

    Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 4.17 / 15+6

    FTM/STM/STM+: 3TM

Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Finding out tomorrow if baby cooperates!

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: Baby is the size of a light bulb :D

Upcoming appointments: 11/4 for anatomy scan and blood work

How are you feeling?: At the moment, SO excited! Tomorrow is my birthday, big 30, but the most exciting part is my hubby, kiddos and I are going to one of those ultrasound places for the fun ultrasounds. Hopefully baby is as active as he/she’s been so they can send us on our way with a gender reveal balloon! Trying to make it a fun weekend with the kids since Halloween just isn’t the same this year!

Rants/Raves: Rave to my hubby, he’s just so beyond good to me! I’ve had an off week.. physically, mentally, emotionally. Came home from a day out with my Mom today to try and shake it to a house decorated for my birthday, every household chore imaginable DONE, and got a coco butter back rub <3 He’s the best!

    Questions: Nada at the moment.

GTKY: What's your favorite vacation spot? I’m going to go against the grain here and say anywhere but the beach :# I know, how could I, but I seriously would rather be almost anywhere than dealing with the sand, sun, heat or crowds. Lol.  My favorite vacation spot is just a cabin, a fireplace.. in the winter with a jacuzzi out on the deck! Fuzzy blanket, hot chocolate/tea and a book is where my happy place is at. I’m a mountain girl to begin with, living in a small mountain town all my life and I love it!

  • @bluey101321 That seems like a pretty early anatomy scan!  I'm jealous I want mine ASAP  :D   I'm also not huge on the beach and love the mountains, though I do still like going to the beach.  I just wouldn't call it my happy place.  One of the best trips I've taken was to Iceland in March which was hardly warm!

    Pregnancy Ticker
  • @kadeephd That’s what I was thinking too! My other two didn’t have anatomy scans until around 20 weeks, maybe 18 weeks but somewhere around half way for sure. I’m going to have to double check to make sure we’re not too early this week. Lol. Another mountain lover! Yess!! I like the beach if I haven’t been in like 5 years and there’s shops or something to do around it, but can’t make myself drive the time it takes to get to one of its just to sit in the sand. Haha. Iceland is on my bucket list <3
  • @cagncoo12  hahaha that's too funny
  • @kadeephd yes! I went to Iceland last year for my 30th and it was amazing!! I wish I was chilling in the blue lagoon right about now...
  • @theblondebump The blue lagoon was sooo nice.  And so were all the random geothermal public pools we soaked in. I lived in Seoul for a year and going to jimjilbangs (public bathhouses) was one of my favorite things to do there too (though they are single sex and you have to be naked, so that took some getting used to!)  I love that as a traditional way to relax and wish we had something similar here.

@bluey101321 Yeah I can't bring myself to actually stay at the beach more than a couple of hours unless the water is super nice and I'm swimming the whole time.
