@ramzlau one of my favorite movies that I haven't seen in forever!
My kids are finally able to sit through a movie at home so we've been doing Friday movie nights. We've been doing "spooky" movies this month and watched casper this past Friday. I'm being so excited thinking about some of my favorites to watch with them that I haven't seen in a long time (no Austin powers for a few years 😂) the labyrinth and honey I shrunk the kids are coming up in the next few weeks
@_orchid_ That sounds like so much fun! My little one has been stuck on Cocomelon for a week now. We are begging to go back to Mickey Mouse Clubhouse or better yet Bluey! She can do a movie, but she rarely chooses to watch one.
@_orchid_ I cannot wait until DD will sit through an actual movie! @ramzlau we do a ton of Cocomelon and the latest fave is Chu Chu TV, which is like torture lol.

Oh yeah. Add me to the coco melon/ super simple songs/pink fong. And now that he’s seen all of them it takes them a million years to choose one. And HEAVEN FORBID we choose the wrong one lol.
My kids (4 and 2) have been addicted to The Nightmare Before Christmas for a full year now. Now I’m just happy that it makes sense seasonally again, haha.
@hillbillywife Yes! Omg. Complete meltdown. Prime is the easiest way to find a specific song. Much better than YouTube hour long ones or the Netflix 3 that don’t show titles.
@Lisa3379 yes mine are obsessed with nightmare before christmas! This year sooo many houses around us have jack/sally/oogie boogie man decorations so we have a whole route that we walk or drive to look at the decorations.
DS2 is 3.5 had has been able to sit and watch a movie for like 2 years. DS1 is 7 and can't sit still LOL- he's always got to be drawing or playing or building something at the same time. We're not still not sure if he's sitting to watch the movie bc he wants to or if it's to spite us bc we tease him so much about not being able to sit still 😆
Our time changed today so even though it’s only 5:47 pm, it feels much later. I definitely took a nap while DS napped today. I foresee an early bedtime tonight.
Not particularly looking forward to another busy work week so I’m already sad the weekend is over.
I don’t know any of these shows mentioned. But I can’t wait for DS to be old enough to watch Christmas movies with me. He doesn’t watch tv right now so maybe he will be more interested next year.
Mine is been obsessed with the Nightmare before Christmas too, but then she started having bad dreams, so I switched her back to Mickey Mouse and Disney princess movies. She's recently gotten into Clifford The Big Red Dog on Amazon Prime.
@MelissaMay82 we are making fried rice for dinner. Or more accurately, my H is making fried rice because I got sick before I could even pull the ingredients out. It does actually sound pretty good as long as he doesn’t add too much seasoning.
Cocomelon is on consistently in our house. As well as Frozen 2. Little Baby Bum was our obsession until cocomelon showed up in ours lives. DD(20m) will sit her cute little butt on the couch and demand either coco or Elsa. I’m so tired I’ll just comply and throw her a snack too.
@hillbillywife I accidentally/mistakenly taught DD how to say "skip it please" for the ads instead of just "noooooo" but now that's all we hear, she definitely knows what she does *not* want to watch in a given sitting but not how to communicate what she does want to watch lol.

I was exhausted yesterday so I put on Cars to watch with DS (2). He got scared at the tractor tipping scene and wouldn't watch anymore. He is oddly sensitive to shows and movies - he get's uncomfortable at the most random scenes.
We exclusively watch Sesame Street and sometimes Daniel Tiger. It's all he wants.

@laurad75 ds1 is like that too- he's 7 and it's always been like that, random things. If someone gets lost he loses his shit. It's funny bc ds2 (3.5) will watch movies and love every minute and my 7 year old has to go into another room bc it scares him.
We were a pretty minimal tv family before covid but had really loosened the reigns and been using it pretty much every day. However since I started getting sick last week Mickey or the ipad have been on almost none stop. I can’t wait until my kids are old enough to watch movies. They can watch Winnie the Pooh but that’s it. I can’t wait for family movie nights.
Ok, I just had my beta draw this morning and have gotten the results back a half hour ago. In one week it went from 14,575 to 47,268. 😳 Wowzers. That seems like a lot lol I’m super happy but also been reading google and am now scared. I read that super high levels of HCG can also mean a molar pregnancy or Down syndrome. Is this number too high in one week? My previous pregnancy I lost, my baby had Down syndrome but I never got betas done so I can’t compare numbers. I would have liked to know what they were at. Now my mind is going to dark places. Should I be worried at all?
@mindyb2019 how far along are you? In general, for a week those seems like perfect doubling numbers. They definitely don't seem too high, I would not be worried.
But I also don't see a problem with calling the office and just letting them know of your fears and they can tell you if they are worried.
Editing to add: Just saw from a different post that you are 7 weeks. You are definitely within normal range. There is such a huge range of normal. ❤❤
@artsiefartsie I’m 7 weeks and 3 days today. By the charts there, I seem to be within normal range which is great and good news. I won’t worry then. thank you.
Got my betas back. Not nearly as good as @mindyb2019. It’s 842.9 up from 637.6. I’m approximately 5+5. Idk what the game plan from here is. Feeling a little defeated.
@hillbillywife I'm sorry that is very frustrating! But I definitely don't think you are out of the game yet, so try to hang in there. Did they say anything or did you just get the numbers? Hopefully they'll call tomorrow with more details.
@hillbillywife im so sorry you are feeling defeated over your beta numbers. Your not out yet. They are still going up. I hope they will have a game plan for you
Thanks everyone. I just got my numbers tonight. I’m sure they’ll call tomorrow with a game plan though I have no idea what it will be. I’m sure it’ll be another blood draw
@hillbillywife so stressful. I hope they call with a helpful plan tomorrow.

Good morning everyone! So my 4 year old is obsessed with this game called Grouch Couch, and everyone he comes in my room and asks me to play. It's a trip. I tell him to play alone and he goes uh the box says 2 players
@hillbillywife I hope you have a reassuring call with your doctor today! These betas are such a mindf*ck. I had my third one yesterday at 19dpt and compared to my second at 12dpt the doubling time increased to 54 hours (it was less than 48 hours between the first two) so I went down a rabbit hole even though my clinic said it rose an appropriate amount. I really wish I could go in for an u/s before 7.5 weeks for some reassurance.

Currently sitting in one of my friends office working. She is in nonstop meetings today so it gives me a quiet place to work alone. I share my office with another person, but today I feel like trash and just want quiet space to myself.
Performance reviews are done! This was my first time giving them, so was super nervous, but I think they went well. Also finally decided to give my "Flour Water Salt Yeast" a solid try now that I'm home constantly, it's cooler, the extra carbs won't totally derail my diet, and my last two "quick" attempts were semi-failures. Giving a sourdough recipe a try, along with some discard crackers. A good day, so far
So I just called into the office and I’m going to get more bloodwork done today and then go into the office for an ultrasound and an appointment tomorrow. They’re worried my number are plateauing which would be a concern for ectopic so we’ll see what they say. I’m still cramping and bleeding but nothing severe (the anxiety part of my brain is thinking “what if they actually are severe and my pain tolerance is just high?!” But my pain tolerance is normal at best lol so while I’m kinda uncomfortable from the cramping it’s nothing emergent yet. I’ll keep you posted. It’s prolly late enough in the day that I won’t get results back till tomorrow.
My SIL is having a gender reveal zoom party tomorrow evening. It is her first and I am SO EXCITED for her! Coincidentally, tomorrow is my first ultrasound and although I have ZERO intention of saying anything at the zoom meeting I am so scared that I will somehow be outed. Either by my kiddos, who are 9,7, and 3.5 and have been so excited for my ultrasound (I’ve sworn them to secrecy, but... kids) or an unknowing relative who asks when we’re “finally going to go for a boy”, which we get all the time from my MIL and her side of the family. I’m wracking my brain and trying to think of graceful ways to sidestep without divulging or lying. I’m so nervous and just praying there isn’t too much chit chat outside of what should be for my SIL her H and her new LO.
