Re: TTGP Grad Check-In 10/22
@_orchid_ I'm so jealous you get an u/s at 5 weeks lol. I have to wait forever for mine. Glad your feeling less stuffed up. I hope it all goes well in 2 weeks when you start back up hybrid.
*Live, Love, Laugh, Learn*
@_orchid_ Exhaustion, hunger, and RLP here too, so fun haha. Is the two weeks hybrid thing definite? It is crazy to me that things are still reopening when all of the science and health experts are indicating things are getting worse again and we are in for a rough winter.
@mindyb2019 Sorry about the triggering milestone, hopefully 11/9 will get here soon and provide some additional reassurance
@AKuzReve Interactive museum sounds so fun, we have a cool museum like that here but I am still too nervous to really go anywhere, and it makes me feel terrible that DD is missing out.
How far along are you? 5 weeks today
Upcoming Appointments? More blood work on Monday
Cravings/Symptoms? Fatigue, super sore boobs, increased hunger but no food seems really appealing and no cravings yet, my mouth tastes bad which I guess is a thing
How are you doing? Rants/Raves/Randoms? I am doing pretty well, work has been slow so I have been trying to take advantage and relax but it always makes me anxious to feel unproductive so it’s like I can’t win. DD has been so cuddly lately and I love it. I am super sick of all the shots and suppositories and keep hoping my BW will be good enough to stop at least some of it and be able to have a more normal pregnancy but I guess it could still be a while.
Questions? None I can think of.
Me: 37, MH: 38; Married August 2017
TTC #1 October 2017: BFP on 12/1/2017, DD born 7/24/2018 @ 37+1 after induction due to preeclampsia
TTC #2 January 2020: AMA, dx with DOR in May 2020
IVF July 2020: 16 eggs retrieved, 14 mature, 12 fertilized, 3 blasts, 2 PGT-A normal
FET 10/7/20: BFP on 10/12/20!!! (EDD 6/25/21); First beta 10/16/20 (9dpt): 148; Second beta 10/19/20 (12dpt): 621; Third beta 10/26/20 (19dpt): 4732; Fourth (and final!) beta 11/2/20 (26 dpt): 22,000+
Upcoming Appointments? Third beta today (in waiting room now)!
Cravings/Symptoms? Nausea is hitting hard and my meds are my best friend right now.
How are you doing? Rants/Raves/Randoms? I'm doing okay. Struggling a bit with school but I'll pull things back together soon!
Questions? Nope

@legallykate good luck on Monday! Will they wean you off or just stop? I just stop at 10 weeks, no bloodwork or anything, which seems crazy.
@mindyb2019 hope you had a peaceful day today. 1 milestone down!! I have mixed feelings about my US Wednesday- I'll only be 5 weeks so no heartbeat to see yet, but it will be a milestone day for me so I think it will be a relief to see what's going on.
@AKuzReve aww sounds like a great day with DS! I love days like that, our local museums are some of our favorite outings!
@ramzlau hey appointment pal!! Aww that is so sweet about your DD! Do you know for sure you're having a girl? That episode of Daniel Tiger made DS1 SO excited for a baby sister and then we found out he was getting a brother 😂 he adjusted but it was really cute!
@legallykate I guess they could change their minds (cases are going up in our area). Some schools around us have changed to January. DS1's school starts hybrid on Monday but only 4 kids are going in (2 groups of 2). We're keeping him home- thankfully DH can stay home. It's so crazy! Glad work is calm for you right now and DD is so cuddly!!
@halfanewt I'm a K-5 librarian so see everyone. I'll be doing specials virtually still but am paired with a 1st grade teacher during the hybrid day to help with her students at home. I'll be in her classroom with students in the morning and will be the link bw the kids at home and teacher, and then live teaching by myself for 2 hours in the afternoon. Only 2 of her kids have opted to stay home so there will be 7/8 in each day, but they say it's hard for the little ones to spread it to adults so 🤷🏼♀️🤞 what grade level are you? Jealous you're out till January! I really feel like we're getting into our groove now with distance learning so hopefully it won't be too tough a transition.
@ramzlau how was your appointment today?

@ashaislurking those milestones always have a way of popping up and surprising me- like I'll think I'm doing a-ok and then all of a sudden WHAM!! When I get like that I focus on getting through the time hour by hour and try to be present in what in doing so much as possible to turn off my brain. GL tomorrow!!
AFM I had bloodwork and an US this morning. I am 5w1d so I *knew* going into it they wouldn't be able to see much, and then when they couldn't see much it freaked me out 🙄 thankfully my beta and progesterone came back great, my beta is below 10k which is what a previous Dr told me is his threshold for us bc it's so hard to see anything before then. Beta was at 8k so they want me to come back on Friday to look again.
Just got a call that someone who was in my school with me on Monday has covid symptoms and was tested, so my school may require me to be tested tomorrow which would probably delay the Friday US. I only saw my coworker briefly in the hall (about 2 minutes, and we were 6+ get apart with masks on) but it sounds like my school night be requiring me to test bc next week starts mandatory physical reporting to the building so they'd want some hard proof of a negative test. Ugh.
@_orchid_ I hope they will be able to see more on your u/s on Friday. Yay for good betas and progesterone. Oh dear. I hope your co-worker doesn't have covid. My co worker has actually been off work too and got a covid test today but im pretty sure she doesn't have it. She doesn't have a cough or fever but has had diarhea for over a week now on and off so she was told to get one. If she has covid im screwed as I work closely with her all day everyday lol
@ramzlau So happy for a good ultrasound!! I'm glad your doc is willing to see you more to help ease your anxiety. That's awesome.
@_orchid_ I definitely feel you on being freaked out because it's early and they can't see much. I'm glad your beta and progesterone looked good. FX for more good numbers Friday!

@mindyb2019 That sucks about your leg, hopefully it goes away soon. During my last pregnancy I think I was starting to get Guyon's Tunnel Syndrome (the opposite of Carpal Tunnel, my ring finger and pinky go numb when I sleep), and I still have issues with my hands going numb. As for your coworker, FWIW, I think a stomach bug is making the rounds. My mom was sick with diarrhea last week too (not COVID, test results finally came back). Kind of weird, because they don't go out anywhere so it's hard to see where she would have gotten it.
@_orchid_ I'd get a test, even if your school doesn't require it. It's at least piece of mind. Hopefully all is fine, though!
