Re: TTGP Grad Check-In 10/22

  • How far along are you? 4+2

Upcoming Appointments? Bw and US on Wednesday @ 5 weeks

Cravings/Symptoms? Less stuffed up today and I think exhaustion is setting in. Gagging a lot and starving at random times throughout the day. RLP is still making itself known throughout the day.

How are you doing? Rants/Raves/Randoms? I feel like I'm settled into my work routine and love that I can work from home right now. We're starting back hybrid in 2 weeks though so that will change! I'm looking forward to being back with my colleagues and kids but nervous about potential exposure and how it's going to be at 6 weeks when I'm typically starting to be pretty sick.

    Questions?

  • How far along are you? 7 weeks today :)

Upcoming Appointments? Nov 9th is my first U/S. Can’t wait to see a baby in there but sooo anxious and nervous. Is it November yet? Lol

Cravings/Symptoms? I've have been craving vinegar lol I want to eat it on a lot of things and also craving prawns. As far as symptoms goes, bloating, gas, mild headaches, peeing a lot, freezing cold, mild tender boobs, a lot of dizziness throughout the day ,very tired and waking up with stiff tight pain in my calf muscles and knees (right leg only). Not sure if this is from pregnancy 🤷‍♀️

How are you doing? Rants/Raves/Randoms? Im doing ok so far but today is a hard day for me. Its my first trigger day. My very first pregnancy was an early MC which I lost at 7 weeks which was also due in June, and thats today so im kinda on edge and anxious. I'll feel better once I pass this stage. So far so good and seems this little one will make it farther but cant help but feel triggered.

    Questions? NATM

@_orchid_ I'm so jealous you get an u/s at 5 weeks lol. I have to wait forever for mine. Glad your feeling less stuffed up. I hope it all goes well in 2 weeks when you start back up hybrid.
  • @mindyb2019, mine is November 10 and I am already dying for it to get here!! Sending you tons of love about your trigger day.

@_orchid_ , super excited for your appt!

How far along are you? 3w 5d

    Upcoming Appointments? November 10!

Cravings/Symptoms? Exhausted. Waves of nausea. Headaches.

    How are you doing? Rants/Raves/Randoms?
Pretty good. Forgot how exhausting 1st trimester can be. Walked around the block yesterday and it felt like I ran a marathon. Took DS to a really cool interactive museum today and he had the time of his life. This is my most favourite age so far. So much fun! No rants really. Just work being busy but that’s the norm.

    Questions? Nope!

  • How far along are you? 6+6

Upcoming Appointments? Wednesday we get to see the lo again!

Cravings/Symptoms? Anything crisp, carrots, apples, cucumbers. Really strong morning sickness that is persistent through the day. Upping meds to Diclegis today. Hoping it helps. Gas off and on through the week. But really it is just the nausea/vomiting that is making me miserable.

    How are you doing? Rants/Raves/Randoms?
We told our DD pretty early so it has been a few weeks now. A few times a day she will ask about where her sister is or how she is doing. Whether she will share her toys or food and that she wants to hold her hand and play. It is so sweet to see her process it all. Daniel Tiger 🙌

Questions? Since I only really hung out on IF thread, I don’t feel like I know all of you. Excited to hear about your lives and share this journey with you. (Okay not really a question there).

@AKuzReve I hear ya on the block feeling like a marathon. It is crazy!
@mindyb2019 Sorry for the trigger day yesterday. Glad you are able to put that milestone behind you.
@_orchird_ Hey appointment buddy! Wednesday seems so close yet so far away! I can’t imagine going back to the office right now, I may be a little spoiled with WFH.
  • How far along are you? 4+6
Upcoming Appointments? Third beta today (in waiting room now)!
Cravings/Symptoms? Nausea is hitting hard and my meds are my best friend right now.
How are you doing? Rants/Raves/Randoms? I'm doing okay. Struggling a bit with school but I'll pull things back together soon!
    Questions? Nope
    Be back later for tags!

@AKuzReve I'm definitely feeling the first-tri exhaustion. Hang in there!
@ramzlau I hope the diclegis helps you!
@legallykate I'm glad work has been slower for you, but hope it picks up the pace enough that you aren't left feeling unproductive!

  • Thanks ladies for all your love today ❤Triggers/milestones are the worst.

@ashaislurking FX for good beta numbers and you get the results back quickly this afternoon Instead of Monday.

@legallykate GL with your bloodwork on Monday. Hope all is well. Im sorry you have to get so many shots and suppositories.

@ramzlau aww thats soo cute that your DD keeps asking about the baby and that she wants to hold their hand and play and share food and toys etc. How precious 🥰
  • @ashaislurking wow!! Thats a great jump. Your numbers are looking fabulous yay
  • @_orchid_ what level do you teach? We’re out through the semester (end of jan) at minimum. I can’t imagine going back right as winter colds kick in. Hopefully the masks and extra cleaning do the trick!

@mindyb2019 hugs today. I passed my milestone date already, but man that was a nerve wracking day. Hope you can do something extra kind for yourself today/this weekend.

@ashaislurking great numbers! Thursday will be here soon!

@ramzlau that’s so sweet! We haven’t told DS yet, though I think he knows somethings up. He really like to help papa get me graham crackers in the mornings :)

@legallykate good luck on Monday! Will they wean you off or just stop? I just stop at 10 weeks, no bloodwork or anything, which seems crazy.

@AKuzReve I hear you on the exhaustion! I keep getting out of breath on our walks. A little nervous to start running again...
  • How far along are you? 8 weeks today!

    Upcoming Appointments? Not until 11/12

Cravings/Symptoms? Craving salty and sour things, and chocolate, but that last isn’t unusual :) still feeling super nauseous, especially if I don’t eat soon enough.

How are you doing? Rants/Raves/Randoms?Doing pretty well overall, a little impatient for the visit on the 12th!

    Questions? Not yet
  • @ashaislurking that's a great beta rise!! FX we both have good US next week!
@mindyb2019 hope you had a peaceful day today. 1 milestone down!! I have mixed feelings about my US Wednesday- I'll only be 5 weeks so no heartbeat to see yet, but it will be a milestone day for me so I think it will be a relief to see what's going on.
@AKuzReve aww sounds like a great day with DS! I love days like that, our local museums are some of our favorite outings!
@ramzlau hey appointment pal!! Aww that is so sweet about your DD! Do you know for sure you're having a girl? That episode of Daniel Tiger made DS1 SO excited for a baby sister and then we found out he was getting a brother 😂 he adjusted but it was really cute!
@legallykate I guess they could change their minds (cases are going up in our area). Some schools around us have changed to January. DS1's school starts hybrid on Monday but only 4 kids are going in (2 groups of 2). We're keeping him home- thankfully DH can stay home. It's so crazy! Glad work is calm for you right now and DD is so cuddly!!
@halfanewt I'm a K-5 librarian so see everyone. I'll be doing specials virtually still but am paired with a 1st grade teacher during the hybrid day to help with her students at home. I'll be in her classroom with students in the morning and will be the link bw the kids at home and teacher, and then live teaching by myself for 2 hours in the afternoon. Only 2 of her kids have opted to stay home so there will be 7/8 in each day, but they say it's hard for the little ones to spread it to adults so 🤷🏼‍♀️🤞 what grade level are you? Jealous you're out till January! I really feel like we're getting into our groove now with distance learning so hopefully it won't be too tough a transition.
  • @_orchid_ haha no we have no clue. I didn’t even put it together that maybe she is saying sister because of DT. We will see in a few weeks I guess!
  • @ramzlau he called my belly baby margaret for maybe a month 😂 kids are so funny!!
  • @_orchid_ that sounds like such a crazy schedule! Good luck managing all that!
I’m at a middle school, so they’re a little mess concerned about their ability to do distance learning. Whenever we do go back (if we do!) I know they’re planning to bring back pre-k and kinder first, so my guess is I’ll be out till April or so.
  • Thinking of you @ramzlau!!

How is everyone hanging in there?
@ramzlau how was your appointment today?
I have my ultrasound tomorrow and y'all I'm nervous. Like a giant ball of nerves.
    TW: previous MC
I feel like I stepped way back this week but wasn't sure why but then I remembered that the 5 week mark is my milestone week which was really painful. It's been years and I didn't really think it would still hurt this much. Hoping for some good news tomorrow.

@ashaislurking I'm hanging in there despite my leg pain. GL with your u/s tomorrow. FX for you. Mines coming up in 11 days and my anxiety will be through the roof. I want to know its all ok. Sorry for your 5 week milestone. I feel ya girl. I just passed my 7 week milestone and its tough.
  • @ramzlau woohoo!!!! That's all great news!!! Do glad it went well today!!

@ashaislurking those milestones always have a way of popping up and surprising me- like I'll think I'm doing a-ok and then all of a sudden WHAM!! When I get like that I focus on getting through the time hour by hour and try to be present in what in doing so much as possible to turn off my brain. GL tomorrow!!

AFM I had bloodwork and an US  this morning. I am 5w1d so I *knew* going into it they wouldn't be able to see much, and then when they couldn't see much it freaked me out 🙄 thankfully my beta and progesterone came back great, my beta is below 10k which is what a previous Dr told me is his threshold for us bc it's so hard to see anything before then. Beta was at 8k so they want me to come back on Friday to look again.
Just got a call that someone who was in my school with me on Monday has covid symptoms and was tested, so my school may require me to be tested tomorrow which would probably delay the Friday US.  I only saw my coworker briefly in the hall (about 2 minutes, and we were 6+ get apart with masks on) but it sounds like my school night be requiring me to test bc next week starts mandatory physical reporting to the building so they'd want some hard proof of a negative test. Ugh.
  • @ramzlau I know right. So weird. I actually had thoughts out the sciatic nerve too and wondered that myself. 🤷‍♀️ Pregnancy is so weird sometimes lol.

@_orchid_ I hope they will be able to see more on your u/s on Friday. Yay for good betas and progesterone. Oh dear. I hope your co-worker doesn't have covid. My co worker has actually been off work too and got a covid test today but im pretty sure she doesn't have it. She doesn't have a cough or fever but has had diarhea for over a week now on and off so she was told to get one. If she has covid im screwed as I work closely with her all day everyday lol
  • @mindyb2019 I'm glad your leg pain just seems to be a sprain. I hope it gets better soon!
@ramzlau So happy for a good ultrasound!! I'm glad your doc is willing to see you more to help ease your anxiety. That's awesome.
@_orchid_ I definitely feel you on being freaked out because it's early and they can't see much. I'm glad your beta and progesterone looked good. FX for more good numbers Friday!

  • @mindyb2019 fx neither of our coworkers have it! MH had diarrhea for a week in the summer out of nowhere- thankfully it was just something funky he ate. Hopefully your coworker is the same!
  • @_orchid_ Why is it that even when we expect it, it still shakes us? Hoping the little one grows fast and you get a better ultrasound on Friday! But yay for good numbers, at the stage your are at that is the best indicator everything is going well!

@mindyb2019 @orchid Hope neither of your coworkers have it!
  • Glad to hear your appointment went well, @ramzlau! @ashaislurking I hope your appointment also goes well.

@mindyb2019 That sucks about your leg, hopefully it goes away soon. During my last pregnancy I think I was starting to get Guyon's Tunnel Syndrome (the opposite of Carpal Tunnel, my ring finger and pinky go numb when I sleep), and I still have issues with my hands going numb. As for your coworker, FWIW, I think a stomach bug is making the rounds. My mom was sick with diarrhea last week too (not COVID, test results finally came back). Kind of weird, because they don't go out anywhere so it's hard to see where she would have gotten it.

@_orchid_ I'd get a test, even if your school doesn't require it. It's at least piece of mind. Hopefully all is fine, though!
