I'll play. I have always loved the name Sullivan for a boy but MH isn't super keen on it and it's not Hebrew so it's probably a no go for us, womp womp. Our current front runner is probably Jacob.

My husband has already told me he's dreading the name talk. We pretty quickly figured out our first, but our second didn't have a name until about the third trimester. Now we've already used up our family names. Also, we could never agree on boys' names, so it's a good thing we've only had girls.
@legallykate Jacob is our front runner too 🥰 We wanted to name our first son Jacob but made the mistake of telling my mom and she hated it 😑 This time IDGAF
I’m stuck on girls names. I’m thinking Leah or Lena...also Shoshana or Talia or Norah. MH is dead set on Penelope for a girl and it just doesn’t feel right for me.
We are pretty set with names. DH initials are EWB... all our kids follow suit so far. DS is Ehsan William, DD is Eniyah Whitney.
Found out we are having twins and if the results from our genetic screenings follow through, its Boy/Girl twins. Names on the table are: Boy - Emmanuel or Elijah middle name Warren. Emmanuel is a family so Im leaning towards it (my brothers name and my Dads middle name). Girl - Eliana, we just need to settle on a W middle name. Front runner is Wren. Also on the table is Willa, Willow, and Wynter. Still taking suggestions though.

@Mc0303 Shoshana is beautiful! Also a fan of Talia....in case my vote counts lol

We are toying with the idea of Saoirse, but know spelling will be a big PITA for her growing up. We would love an Irish, Gaelic, or Polish baby name and our other kiddos all have 2 syllable names.
Married August 2010 DD1 August 2011 DD2 August 2013 DD3 February 2017
I’m not going to get too invested in baby names till we know what we’re having, but if we have a girl I’d like her middle name to be either Rebecca after H’s grandma or Lou after mine. If we have a boy I’d like his middle name to be Thomas after my stepdad. Everyone has family names except DS 2 because we couldn’t get any to fit with his first name.
@AKuzReve See I like the flow of sib-set Eliana and Elijah too... I think it goes better with other names as well.
As for Ehsan, its Arabic but no nationality tie. DH's nickname is Big E. As joke he said lets just name him E's Son. I laughed at first and then actually started looking for names like Esson, when I came across Aeson and Ehsan. Fell in love immediately especially once I found out the name meant Perfection. Ehsan is our rainbow miracle baby after 7 yrs of TTC, so Perfection as a name was fitting. (Pronounced phonetically Eh-Sahn)

We haven’t really talked about names yet. But we had quite a few names on the list from last pregnancy. DH really liked Ethan for a boy, I think that it’s ok. He also like Patrick, which is growing on me more. It’s a family name but his cousin named his little boy Patrick a few years ago. We hardly ever see them but I don’t know how I feel about using the same name. For girls we liked Adeline, Delaney, Audrey, and Taryn.
@jaztastic love the middle name Warren! That’s my maiden name and is my middle sons middle name we use family names for all our kids middle names, my dad passed away in 2012 and my only brother passed away in 2017 - he never had children so my maiden name carries on through my son!
Me: 41 DH: 42 💙 DS1- 12/2011 CP - March 2014 MMC - Sept 2014 💙DS2 - 10/2015 💙DS3 - 5/2017 💖DD due June 6, 2021
I am weirdly superstitious about names so I won’t discuss my first name options, but we used family names for middle names for our three kids, so we will for this baby as well. My sons have the middle names Reid, Warren and Ernest. Reid and Ernest are from hubby’s side and Warren is my maiden name. It’s my turn to use a name from my side so if it’s a boy, middle name will likely be James or Morgan and if it’s a girl the middle name will likely be Lou after my moms middle name.

We have no boy names left, we used literally the only two we could agree on for DS!
So for that reason I really hope this one is a girl. We have a bunch of possibilities for girl names. My top runners at the time DS was born were Penelope and Olivia, but I'm kind of over them. A ton of my friends had Penelope's the last few years and Olivia became too popular. My name is Jessica which was the number 1 girl name the year I was born and hated that there were always 3 of us in every class.
How do you guys feel about alliteration names? My husband hates them 😄 I'm not a huge fan but they don't bug me as much as they do DH. I love a lot of "W" names but since it is also the first letter of our last name they get cut immediately.
@artsiefartsie I usually like alliteration names. DS is Duke Douglas (Douglas is my dad's name).
When naming DS Duke was literally the only name we agreed on so we were very happy it was a boy. We couldn't come up with any girl names we were on board with.
This time around we only have a girls name we agree on so far - Quinn. H likes it for a boys name too but I'm not sure.
If it is a boy we were trying to come up with J name and the middle name would be my husbands name (starts with J). We would call him 'JJ'. H likes Jules but I'm not sold on it.
@mamakate2011 I love Reid. I'm adding that to our list. I seem to be stuck on 1 syllable names.

@artsiefartsie I love the name Olivia! That is number #1 on my list too, but I am in the same boat as you. My name is Ashley and that was also the most popular name the year I was born so my name really became “Ashley D” all through school, I hated it! But on the flip side, now in my adult life I hardly know any Ashley’s that I work with or socially... not sure if I could wait 18+ years for my DD to appreciate her name haha. Also a big fan of alliterations, my last name now starts with an L so I like the idea of the nickname Liv. Also a big fan of Lyla, Viola, and Ruby... But who knows...could be a boy!
Boy name is set in stone - Owen - and already DH-approved, plus I just don’t hear it that often which makes me feel great!
@jaztastic those are probably the COOLEST names I’ve heard in awhile!!! What an awesome story behind “Ehsan”! I love the E-name Eilif for a boy, our friends picked that for their eldest along with other cool Norwegen names for the other two that followed. Boy/girl twins was always the dream for me so I’m a little jealous!!! Excited to hear what you guys decide on!
@mc0303 have you considered Selah? I think it’s gorgeous! Our day care provider has a daughter named Selah and I just think it’s gorgeous. I’ve also toyed with Judea as a middle name.

I have a Charlotte, which is also incredibly popular, but she is the only Charlotte in our village/friend group. There are also no Olivia's, so we are still leaning towards that if we have a girl. Cecilia is right up there as well.
We really like Dean for a boy. We also like Sawyer but realized it was a tongue twister with our last name.
@jaztastic DS has the same initials as DH and DH's father. I love the E's son story!
@artsiefartsie My name was the top name the year I was born too. I had decided I will never choose a Top 10 name for one of my kids, because I hated being my name and last initial in elementary school. Wasn't an issue once I started playing sports because people started using my last name to distinguish between me and other girls on the team with the same first name.
We have chosen Finn for our boys name. I like a longer name, that then you abbreviate to something shorter (DS is Joshua, and we call him Josh) so part of me would like to do a longer name and then call him Finn. But DH doesn't love Finnegan, and I am not a fan of Finley (feels like a girls name to me), so he may just be Finn.

@DoubleUp8 - some less obvious Finn names could be Griffin or Phineas. Finnean is close to Finnegan but doesn’t have the harsh “g” sound that may or may not be the turn off. Just some thoughts. I love Finn and agree Finley feels feminine.
I posted in ransoms because I momentarily forgot this post. We are looking at Jocelyn/Joslyn, Keira, Anya, Saoirse, and maybe Bridget. Middle name would be June. For a boy we have August, Arthur, and Kellen... middle name James or Jude
