Re: Weekly Randoms 10/12

  • This baby is seriously jumping up and down on my cervix- weirdest feeling ever! At least she's not big enough for it to hurt yet, thankfully!

  • Yes to Prime shopping! Target and Walmart also had sales going on simultaneously. Between the three places, I'm over halfway done with my Christmas shopping!
  • Jealous of you all! I missed most of it. I feel like I'm not mentally ready for Christmas shopping, although I need to get on it lol

  • @manillabar I'm just ready for Christmas decorations. I'm done with fall.
  • @kloe818 me too! My husband is such a grinch he won't even think about putting the tree up until after thanksgiving. If I had my way/if I could carry up the tree myself it'd be up a lot sooner lol

  • @manillabar we are both all about the Christmas which is why we got married in December. We usually start the weekend before Thanksgiving. Our really small front yard gets crowded with 2 inflatable dragons, and then we have inflatable deer hanging from the porch roof (like they fell, not like carcasses), and so many lights. We are THAT house. Then the inside... No room that people don't sleep in is safe. It's like Christmas threw up all over the house. Vacuuming glitter for months.
  • @kloe818 omg I want to live in your house! I used to dream of a Christmas wedding... we ended up doing October instead, which I loved, but I’m sure 10 year old me shed a tear lol

  • @kloe818 we got married in December too and loved it!! We picked the 21st for the winter solstice. It’s definitely not as common, but I think winter weddings are so beautiful.

@manillabar It was a dream wedding and we picked this old manor that is now an inn in this town that is the quintisential New England town with a view of the mountains and they decorated the place to the 9's for their Christmas season so we didn't even have to do that.

@jfcmomoftwo We got married on the 9th. We didn't want to be too close to the holidays because our families are from different ends of the state and the town we picked was almost halfway. We did miss the first snow by mere hours. The photographers left just before it started snowing because they had to get home to their kids and it was already snowing where they lived. That's my ONLY regret. Winter weddings are gorgeous. I still use the white faux fur cloak I had my friend make...I mean I only use it as a big blanket when I'm cold, but I still use it.  You can see it in my picture!
