Upcoming appointments: friday i have a second ultrasound and its my intake appt

Rants/Raves: DH has been super helpful past few days, so loving and embracing that!
Questions: anyone else getting on and off spotting? my ultrasound last week didnt show anything problematic, so i am trying not to panic unless it gets heavy or i start cramping.
GTKY: Are you a night owl or early bird? early bird for sure. now even more so!
Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Team finding out
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: an M&M
Upcoming appointments: First US is supposed to be Oct 13th but... see next point.
How are you feeling?: PG-wise I feel great. No nausea, no real cravings/aversions (other than maybe the smell of meat, but I can eat it just not cook it), and I've come to terms with the idea that I'm just going to feel bloated and tired for the next year BUT I do have a cold. My immune system has been absolute sh!t since I got KU. First I had pink-eye twice in 2 weeks (as in I had it for 2 days, it went away for over a week, then came back for a day, and I haven't had it since), and now I've got a sore throat and some congestion. The most logical explanation is that this is the lingering viral conjunctivitis, but it's not like you can test for that so every little thing = must be covid. So of course since I've failed all the pre-screening I've had to cancel all my acupuncture appts, and I'm scheduled for a covid test this week so I can show the clinic it's not the 'rona so I'll be allowed to have my US.
Rants/Raves: Rant: I think the above counts as my rant, lol. Raves: At least I get to work from home while we're quarantined!
Questions: Can't think of any right now!
GTKY: Are you a night owl or early bird? Normally a hardcore night owl but these days maybe neither.

@Liz101015 oh man 10/19 seems like a lifetime away. Thankfully since I'm working with an RE he's sending me for an earlier ultrasound, the OB told me I wouldn't see him in person until around 20w. 3 teachers for 3 students seems like a bit of overkill, no? lol. @asf0613 jealous of your second ultrasound coming up!! That's exciting!! I've also had some random brown spotting on and off the last 2 weeks. It only lasts a couple hours and it's not heavy so I'm trying to tell myself it's just things being rearranged in there.

Hi Y’all! I just introduced myself yesterday in the introductions thread.

Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Finding out, planning on genetic testing
Interesting Baby
Fact/Baby is the size of: sweet pea
Upcoming appointments: 10/20
How are you feeling?: Horrible. I’ve lost four pounds in ten days. With my last pregnancy I only lost five pounds the whole first trimester. I am a mostly SAHM who works part time as a CPA during naptime and weekends and this is tough. I can barely leave the couch/bed and staring at a computer is basically impossible. I started Unisom/B6 last night and I’m hoping over time it helps.
Rants/Raves: The Unisom last night gave me restless leg and I was up for hours.
Questions:
GTKY: Are you a night owl or early bird? Neither! Solid day person here. I would love to go to bed early and sleep in every day.
Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Finding out, during 2nd tri ultrasound.
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: 🐞
Upcoming appointments: Don't have one, maybe in November.
How are you feeling?: Honestly, I feel good. Anything bad I feel I attribute to my little toddling breastfeeder. However, I have found my belly is sensitive to his weight if I lie down to breastfeed.
Rants/Raves: Currently none, although I was getting snappier than normal about people putting dishes away in the wrong place.
Questions: So many that I am working on right now.
- How to set myself up for a successful VBAC.
- Finding out exactly where to go without insurance. Hospital, clinic and the conditions and potential of having a VBAC there. Basically I have a lot to ask my neighbours.
- Determining if a doula is useful and worth the money if we're going for a low coat pregnancy.
Real question: my friend had a miscarriage at 24w about two weeks ago, if that hadn't happened I would've told everyone I'm pregnant. But now I feel bad being excited when I already have a son and they were waiting for their first. Any advice? Announce now, or wait until 2nd tri or Christmas?
GTKY: Are you a night owl or early bird? Definitely an early bird, but my breastfeeder keeps me up, so I end up sleeping through my early mornings.
Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Probably finding out
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: Sprout app says blueberry
Upcoming appointments: 10/21 I was supposed to go the week of 10/12, but we will be out of town for a family wedding
How are you feeling?: Gross. Totally gross. All day sickness. Threw up yesterday instead of just dry having. Some days I have an appetite, and others I can't even think about food. I smell EVERYTHING and am disgusted by it all. My boobs still hurt and I'm dizzy every time I stand up. IAMMISERABLE.
Rants/Raves: I laid in bed all day yesterday. No regrets. I dropped the kids off at school this morning and went back to bed. Woke up to get a breakfast taco and then Arby's (today was a hungry day). DH has been SUPER supportive and understanding. He's at a place where he gets it now. Only took 2.5 kids, but hey, its a V!
Questions: GTKY: Are you a night owl or early bird? I used to be an early bird, but now I just want to sleep all day. I'm either a hibernating something or whatever perks up in the late afternoon/early evenings.
Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: finding out asap
Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a tictac (I'm guessing and trying to be inventive here)
Upcoming appointments: intake and ultrasound October 19. Just two weeks to go =/
How are you feeling?: ickier today, which is nice. I felt so much better for a few days at the end of the week/weekend that I started distancing myself from the thought of being pregnant. Worse again, so yay? Always worse Monday. I wonder if stress is a factor.
Rants/Raves: None of my clothes fit, which is really as much due to me gaining weight as bloating, but it sucks and I don't want to jump into maternity clothing at six weeks. Plus I'm trying to hide it from my mother until at least I have an ultrasound saying things look okay.
Questions: GTKY: Are you a night owl or early bird? Night owl. No matter how tired I am, it's hard to make myself go to bed at night.
@queen_frostine ohh I can so relate on the weight gain/bloating. I am already in maternity bras because I refuse to buy bigger bras just while I'm in-between sizes. But I definitely already look like I'm 4mos.
