EDD: 11/26 but our *goal* is 36 weeks (end of October)
Week of pregnancy: 28+5
Baby(ies) is(are) the size of: 🍆 🍆
Upcoming appts: we have our next growth scan tmrw followed by a new OB exam & NST with an OB agfiliated with the hospital we plan to deliver at. Then Friday 28week OB visit with an NST with my normal OB.
Rant/Rave: I've been sleeping like such crap lately. I think I got about 3 hrs total of sleep last night. I just tossed and turned and insomnia galore 😑 of course now I'm exhausted and need a nap. / It was MH's b-day over the weekend. We had a nice time celebrating with his parents on Sunday and then DD's godmother's (good friends of ours) came over yesterday to celebrate and cook out. One of them is a chef (and MH loves to cook) so it's always super comical watching and listening to them bicker and argue over food and who gets to cook it.
Questions: how much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
GTKY: this is a hard one, probably graduating or when DD learned to walk after her hips issues as an infant. Both DD & SD make me pretty proud on a regular basis.

Rant/Rave: Rave: Went to see my family over the weekend and get my furniture out of storage. Got it all unloaded into our house last night and I am SO HAPPY. Our apartment was so small we literally didn't have a living room or any couches, so having my nice couch set in our new big living room makes me want to cry happy tears! Rant: My feet are effing KILLING me. We were at walmart last night and half way through I literally was like I cannot take another step. Bought some compression socks (hoping they'll help) and came home and put my feet up and DH rubbed them for me. But seriously so much pain! Plus my hips and everything else aches too. These last two months are going to be not fun, I can tell already.
Questions? Any magical tips for feet pain or hip pain?
GTKY: What is your proudest moment? Hmmmm... probably picking up my one year medallion after spending years in hell on earth and thinking recovery wasn't possible for me (AA, I am in recovery, celebrated 3 years this past June).
GTKY: What is your proudest moment? Non kid related, no clue. I feel like all my proud moments revolve around one of them😂 most recently, SD took a math test and got an 88% B, the rest of the class completely failed. Her teacher told her she could retake it if she wanted to but didn’t have to, she tried and got a 95 A!
@bserena I know what a challenge that can be. That’s incredible. Way to go!!
Rant/Rave: My birthday’s this week and I’m excited to go to dinner with my family! Eating out gluten free can be suuuper expensive sometimes so I feel like this is the one time I can HAM and not feel guilty😂😂
Questions?
GTKY: What is your proudest moment? Uhhh that’s kind of a tough one! I’ve struggled with mental health issues for a long long time and I celebrated a year free from self harm last year!
@babywiik no, not super serious but at the time it was a *big* thing. She was diagnosed with DDH at about 4mo and had to be in a Pavlik harness for a number of months. It was probably more difficult for me and MH than her honestly. She was a smidge delayed in rolling back to front/crawling/walking due to it. Although now she's running everywhere We've noticed her left foot turns in when she's walking and tired now so we need to follow up with our pediatrician at her 24mo appt. *fingers crossed* it's nothing serious, I was pretty pigeon toed as a kid, so I'm praying that's what it is and not a relapse.
@bserena Good work!!! My hips are awful also. It's pretty pathetic how much they hurt after just walking through the store grocery shopping.
@Ecat504 congrats to your step daughter! Way to rock that math test!
@1sttimemomma98 Congrats on a year Keep up the good work and remember we're all here for you, especially PP

Baby is the size of: A bunch of asparagus/half gallon of Sunny-D
Upcoming Appointments: Friday 9/11 for GS
Rant/Rave: Rant - We lost my husband's grandma this week. She had a stroke last Tuesday night and was moved to hospice very quickly. She had a DNR with a no feeding tube clause, so this was a drawn out and painful process for us all. DH is on the way to the graveside funeral right now, I will be joining via Zoom since pregnant people are taboo at a cemetery. DH's grandma is half the reason why we even met in the first place, she and my grandma set us up on a blind date 8 years ago, and I can't help but feel an overwhelming debt of gratitude towards her. I'm so sad she will never meet her grandson. Rave - I just found out that DH can come to our GS on Friday! This is particularly exciting since he hasn't been allowed at any appointments for the last 3 months or so. I think seeing our little baby will lift his spirts as he's already so emotionally tied to the pregnancy and was feeling so much FOMO.
Questions? None
GTKY: What is your proudest moment? Probably the first time I got promoted. I had worked so incredibly hard to be a top performer for my organization and having that recognized and rewarded was extremely satisfying (FTR, I'm a Capricorn).
@laurenmicheley Thank you! I know I said this on FB, but I am so sorry again for your loss I am glad to hear your DH can come to your appt on Friday, I know when MH was able to come to a scan recently it made him so happy.
Also, OMG I haven't thought of/seen Sunny D since I was little, lol! Do they still make it?
Baby is the size of: a Hawaiian pineapple, according to Ovia
Upcoming Appointments: Not sure. Have to reschedule since I missed my last appointment due to work hours temporarily changing (read more in my rant). But also, I'm kind of glad I missed it cause I had a terrible sunburn on my belly from DH and I taking a little anniversary beach trip.
Rant/Rave: The AC at work is broken, and has been out of commission for the past 3 weeks! It finally got placed on the roof this week, and is being installed, with a turn on date supposedly set for this Friday, but it is SO hot in the building! We have been closed to the public because of how hot it is, and a handful of us, including me, have been working 8-12 before the peak heat hits. I am exhausted from working so early compared to my normal noon start time. Second rant: today was day 2 of virtual learning, and I may have cried out of frustration. Please let this get easier....
Questions?
GTKY: What is your proudest moment? I can't think of one specifically right now, but I know my kids frequently make me beam! I am so proud of them!
@bserena I think they still do! I got that weekly measurement from babylist since I think the fruit/veggies are sometimes really, really... off.
@antsangel1118 Hawaiian pineapple is sounding pretty good, about now. Sorry it's been so hot! Things are starting to cool down over her (NYC) thankfully!
@laurenmicheley pineapple is my favorite fruit! I could definitely eat some right now! Lol today is the worst! It's actually not that hot outside today, only a high of 81°, but inside work was MISERABLE!! So humid today! Tomorrow should be the last day it's out of commission, but for some unknown reason, the person who makes the schedule has me off tomorrow, but it appears in red, which typically means that employee requested off, which I don't remember doing. And if I did, I have no idea why 😂 but I decided rather than pointing it out, I am just going to take advantage of the day off and still have my mom babgsit while I do some solo shopping!
@laurenmicheley thanks! I am so looking forward to it! I was also able to reschedule an appointment for tomorrow afternoon since I missed my last one being thrown into the sudden switch of hours, so I'm looking forward to hearing baby, too!
